The Presentation of Death and Dying in The Media and The Influence of The Presentation on The Process of Forming The Attitude towards Death
KADLECOVÁ, Hana
The thesis deals with mass media and the way they treat the presentation of death and dying. Trying to find an answer to the question of whether mass media can have an impact on changing attitudes of contemporary human being to death and dying. The thesis is divided into nine parts. The first four sections form the theoretical framework and characterize today's postmodern society, typical features of contemporary human being ?s behavior, his/her perception of the world and themselfves, the influ nce of education, culture and beliefs. The thesis also deals with the position of mass media in postmodern society, and briefly describes current research on the influence of mass media on people. It mentions the most common dividing of mass media technologies into television, radio, print and the Internet. On this theoretical framework is consequently based the analysis of the presentation of death and dying in various types of media - this part of the thesis is more practically oriented and is complemented by a number of pictorial material. It tries to capture the most significant features of the presentation of death and dying on TV (news, film, advertising) and radio (news and some opinion programs), in the broadsheets and tabloids as well as on internet news, blogs and social networks and also in internet advertising. The thesis concludes that the current mass media are nearly oversaturated with the death and dy ng topic, making the viewer (reader, listener) apathetic and easily accustomed to continuously increasing greater violence. Death pictured by media is unnatural and often violent, in which significantly collides with the lived reality. Media cause devaluation of death and lower its importance, which causes declining empathy towards the diseased and dying as well as the absence of respect for the deceased.

The Inner Dynamics of Christian Life. Aspects of fundamental Theology in writings of the Cardinal Avery Dulles S.J.
ŠTĚCH, František
This disertation is mapping the main aspects of fundamental theology in the writings of the important American theologian, Cardinal Avery Dulles S.J. These are: Revelation, Faith and Church. The chapter about Cardinal's life story and writings as well as exposition of theological method in general focused on the Cardinal's own method in theology precedes the treatise of mentioned fundamental theology aspects. The method in question is the one of symbolic realism, which works with fundamental theology topics due to the model typologies (models of revelation, models of faith, and models of the church). Given theme of each typology is introduced as a theme of fundamental theology, later the detailed analysis is done and at the end the Dulles's own solution of the particular problem is presented. All mentioned themes prove some mutual relationships which together create the "inner dynamics of Christian life", which has its enjambments also in the whole history of salvation.

It describes the process of respondents collection, the process of dialogue and their recording. The case analysis occupies with the respondents´ characteristics. The second part of the work is interested in the analysis of the dialogue, the comparative analysis and therefore the dialogue evaluation. We get to know how the respondents were guided and lead to faith in their families, when and why they departed from faith, what events and moments in their lives had a bearing on their faith experience, when they returned to the Church, what people influenced their religion development and how they live in Church now. We find out that particular spheres are dependent one on another. It is very important how strong is the faith basis, how deep you sowed the faith and how you kept the seed. We can also see a diference in feeling the faith at each respondent since people are different. The human personality is very important as well as your opening to the Grace of God. The role of people we meet is very important, too. We are influenced by them. It is a kind of a call not only for people in pastoral work but also for believers themselves so that they can try to help and be here for others.
