Military Area as a Determinant of Microregion Population Development
Kusovská, Marie ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Military Area as a Determinant of Microregion Population Development Marie Kusovská Abstract The study deals with military area as a specific factor of microregion population development. The objective of the study is to describe and demonstrate the different effects of current and former military areas on neighbourhood population's demographic behaviour. The analysis is focused on the period of 1995-2010 and takes place in five current military areas: Boletice, Brdy, Březina, Hradiště and Libavá and three former military areas: Mladá (today's municipality Milovice), Ralsko and Dobrá Voda. The study examines the population development and its structure, natural and mechanical movement, including an analysis of migration directions. There is a finding that the municipality Milovice and Ralsko differs significantly from other areas in young age structure, high levels of total fertility rate and the intensity of immigration. At the level of mortality no significant differences were indicated. Therefore, it appears that a military area can be considered as a determinant of microregion population development, but it depends on the military uses of this area and in case of its cancelation it depends on the future civilian use.
Actual state in the 2015 year of the Nun Moth (Lymantria monacha) in the Brdy region
Vondřich, Vladimír ; Šrůtka, Petr (advisor) ; Nakládal, Oto (referee)
This thesis aims to analyze actual state of the nun moth (Lymantria monacha L.) in the Brdy region in the year 2015. The main objective was to determine its population density. For the research several sites were selected in which three monitoring methods were used: adhesive tree bands, dropping method and pheromone-baited traps. The results revealed that the nun moth only occurs in the forest in minimal numbers. Another objective was to evaluate colour forms of moths and determine connection between colour forms of caterpillars and moths. For the lack of captured caterpillars no results were acquired. The majority of moths caught on pheromone-baited traps had gray colouring and relatively small number of moths (21%) had basic (white) colouring.
Wetlands of the Brdy Mts.
Hyklová, Jana ; Karlík, Petr (advisor) ; Hana, Hana (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines especially peat wetlands located on the territory of Brdy and Podbrdsko. Specifically, it looks into ten locations that were in various degrees affected by anthropogenic effect. The purpose is to identify historical and current status of these biotopes, to deduce the nature of past changes, identify the causing factors and then propose appropriate protection solutions. Attention is also paid to the newly created protected landscape area of Brdy and extreme drought in 2015. Depth of the humolit, hydrological conditions and diversity of species were all monitored at the locations and the vegetation cover was briefly characterized. Mining, which often led to the degradation, took place in all the monitored areas in the past. The best preserved Brdy´s peat with bank of Pilska's reservoir. The territorially largest peat bog with the highest measured depth of humolit is located on the eastern littoral of Horní padrťský pond. Both of these areas have absolute protection priority. If the landscape will not face any unexpected changes, it can be with appropriate chosen management assumed sustainable state in the following locations: Dolní Padrťský pond, Tok and the pond Tisý. The wetlands are known to be formed over hundreds of years therefore it is our aim to keep these endangered biotopes preserved for the future.
Overview of knowledge about the fauna of major landscape units in the army left military area Brdy
Heichelová, Ilona ; Vrabec, Vladimír (advisor) ; Vejtrubová, Markéta (referee)
Military areas offer very specific living conditions for the many rare species. The military area Brdy has been closed for public till the end of the year 2015. From January 2016 it has become a nature conservation area. It is very implortant to continue taking care about the biotop the same way as it was before. This thesis includes a detailed list of animals living in former military Brdy area. It is the base for considering how important it is to preserve the landscape of this area. According to literary sources was detected the presence of many species. For example: 15 species of spiders (Araneae), 958 species of beatles (Coleoptera), 9 diptera (Diptera), 16 Hymenoptera (Hymenoptera), 398 kinds of butterflies (Lepidoptera), 7 Neuroptera (Neuroptera), 4 kinds of crustacean (Crustacea), 73 kinds of mollusca (Mollusca). There were other vertebrate species found in the former military Brdy area. Such as: 14 kinds of amphibian (Amphibia), 115 birds (Aves), 52 kinds of mammals (Mammalia), 24 kinds of fish (Osteichthyes), 6 reptails (Reptilia).
Fascioloides magna on ugulates in the Central Bohemia (Czech Republic)
Poletín, Michal ; Červený, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Pavel, Pavel (referee)
In selected hunting grounds of Křivoklát area (Pustá seč and Nový Jáchymov) and Brdy (Komorsko and Plešivec) was detected the presence of giant liver flug (Fascioloides magna). The presence of giant liver flug was detected by using autopsy, respectively cutting the liver while gutting game. This method verified the presence of giant liver flug in red deer (Cervus elaphus) and fallow deer (Dama dama) occurring in hunting of Komorsko and Plešivec. The Giant liver flug was detected in a total of 40 pieces of red deer and 50 pieces of fallow deer, therefore in all game caught in hunting grounds in Brdy. The presence of giant liver flug was also verified in game caught in hunting grounds Pustá seč and Nový Jáchymov. There were a total of 60 red deer cought in these hunting grounds. However, no giant liver flug was detect in any of these deer.
Analýza přirozené obnovy modřínu opadavého v oblasti centrálních Brd
Tesař, Jaroslav
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the state and conditions of the initial phase of the natural regeneration of the European larch. There were nine forest stand groups of 0.06 -- 0.2 ha (small regeneration components) on three sites (FTG 5P, 5K 5N). The density of the growths, height, height gain, age, and damage were measured in the field. Using hemispheric "Fisheye" photography, four photic parameters were observed: openness, direct site factor, indirect s.f. a total s.f. According to the analysis, European larch naturally regenerates on the selected sites successfully. The natural regeneration grows out successfully and shows high density even on sites with low light conditions, while the insolation demands, mainly on the indirect insolation, are gradually increasing at the age of 2--4 years. On the opposite, high level of insolation can have negative influence on the density and further grow out of the natural regeneration on exposed or acidic sites with possible short -- term drought.

Flora and vegetation of special protected areas at west Bohemian part of southwestern "Brdy" mountains
REISEROVÁ, Alena
Five specially protected areas are situated in the southwestern part of the Brdy region. There are two national natural monuments - Hořehledy and Míšovské Buky and three nature reserves - Chynínské buky, Fajmanovy skály & Klenky and Kokšín. Inventory surveys of vegetation were completed in these areas in 1981 and 1982 (J. Nesvadbová). The next inventory survey of the national natural monument Hořehledy was realize in 1990 two years before the establishing this territory as protected area and others in 2005 due to a proposed change of the area border. In addition, the inventory surveys of all mentioned protected areas addressed L. Šmahel in his work in 1998 - 2000. This bachelor thesis surveys higher plant species in each of the specially protected area and provides a comparison of results with the published works.
