Communication Strategy of Non-profit Organizations

This bachelor's thesis copes with the topic of the communication strategy of non-profit organizations. The first part of the work concerns the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic- apart from other topics, it focuses on its functions, legislative framework and the aims of the non-profit organizations. In the following part the author focuses on the marketing and the marketing mix applied on non-profit organizations. The third chapter is reserved exclusively for the communication mix problematic. The last part- the practical one- deals with the organization Amnesty International, emphasizing particularly its Czech section and the means it uses to communicate with the public. The ultimate goal of the work is to assess the communication strategy of the Czech section of Amnesty International, this being based on the theoretical frame and supported by the public opinion survey.
Financing of non-profit organizations in specific conditions of PONTIS Šumperk o.p.s.

The thesis deals with non-profit organizations especially with their financing. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the current status and importance of nonprofit sector, the possibilities of financing of the non-profit organizations and characteristics of public service company. The practical part deals with the particular public service company called PONTIS Šumperk o.p.s. and it is focused on its economy and financing. The end of the thesis is the summary of obtained findings.
Funding and fundraising of musical festivals

The bachelor thesis deals with fundraising and funding ways in non-profit cultural projects. The theoretical part defines non-profit sector, fundraising and describes fundrising methods. The practical part introduces three examples of music festivals which focus on classical and early music -- Struny podzimu, Svatováclavské slavnosti and Letní slavnosti staré hudby, which have a legal form of profit company. There are described fundraising methods and their operation in practice. The last part includes total conclusion and assessment how much a legal form of organization has the effect on fundraising and funding.
Motivation of volunteers at Greenpeace

The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyze the motivation of volunteers at Greenpeace. The theoretical part offers a consistent overview of theoretical propositions related to the chosen topic. In the practical part an empirical survey focused on two target groups was conducted. One target group is made up by volunteers from the Czech subsidiary of the international Greenpeace organization and the other target group is the Czech public. The most important goal of the survey was to get deeper insight into the motives, expectations and satisfaction of volunteers at Greenpeace and those who are active in other comparable organizations. On the basis of collected information similarities and differences between both target groups were identified and recommendations for employees of the Czech subsidiary of Greenpeace regarding the further cooperation with volunteers were formulated.

Bachelor{\crq}s essay describes legislative scope and conditions of an unprofitable sector functioning in the Czech Republic. At first it focuses on both its historical unprofitable organizations development and at present. Further it deals with an issue of disunited nomenclature and general unprofitable characteristics. The second chapter offers a comprehensive overview of areas and activities where unprofitableness is shown with a view to legislative put in force. NGOism: An Analysis

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the concept of NGOism and its analysis in the broader context while the main emphasis is put on the political and economical context of the Czech Republic. The first part deals with the problems of terminology used in the non-profit sector and the characteristics of a non-profit organization as such. It is followed by a discussion of possibilities for influencing the non-profit sector by the state in legislative and financial terms. The last chapter summarizes different approaches to civil society and the debate that arose after certain tendencies of some organizations in the third sector were named NGOism and post-democracy. The definition of those terms is linked to the debate on the opportunities of the third sector to promote its interests through lobbying.
