Metal components testing equipment
Krupa, Zdeněk ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing a portable indicator for measuring of content of ferromagnetic phase in non-ferromagnetic steels. The first part of the thesis describes the principle of sensor used in the indicator. A market survey is presented, with a description of selected indicators that are suitable for measurement of content of ferromagnetic phases. The following part deals with a design of the device hardware, which is focused on finding a suitable indicator concept. Circuits for battery charge, measuring chain and other circuits are designed in this part. The following part of the thesis describes the function of the software. First it describes the software for DSP, then the software for personal computer. The software for DSP has been programmed in the C language, the software for the personal computer in the C# language. The last part but one describes an inspectional measurement of the indicator. This measurement has been performed on testing samples as well as other materials. The final part presents a summary of the outcomes and provides recommendations for possible improvement.
Optosensors
Jakoubek, Martin ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bejček, Ludvík (advisor)
Master’s Thesis solves a problem of vehicle detection for a system control of stoplights on crossroads for a long distance. First, there is a resolution how it is possible to detect cars and select from two sensor’s principles; second, chosen specific microwave detector is a result of sensor market research and finally, there is a description and processing of sensor.
Measurement of Vehicle Suspension Parameters during Driving
Huf, Jiří ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals systems and procedures for measuring properties of vehicle chassis during its ride. Further demonstrates how useful measuring is in engineering practice. First, the vehicle chassis is analyzed, next are sensors and whole measuring. Last part includes a description and rating of a braking test in depending on functionality of ABS system. There is a chart of sensors and chart compares results of braking test. Next the measuring systems of Kistler company were described as instance of measuring system for measuring of vehicle dynamics.
Sense of automation for mechanical products innovation
Šula, Jan ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Lacko, Branislav (advisor)
This work deals with the innovation in the automotive industry, in the braking system, especially with ABS, its development and importance in the context of improving road safety and, consequently, the reliability of vehicles. The introduction will describe the types of brakes used their advantages and disadvantages. The ABS will be described to me the selected vehicle.
Metrological characteristics of operative temperature sensor
Junek, Petr ; Janečka,, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
Aim of this work is to explain the concept of "operative temperature" and verify metrological characteristics of complex operating temperature sensor, which was completed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VUT Brno, by comparing with other measuring instruments. The work contains information about measurement and evaluation.
Passive sensors for detecting instantaneous stress and strain values
Jašek, Petr ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
Technical measurements are an indispensable source of information in the technical fields. Due to the computer processing it is necessary an electrical signal as the output of the sensor. The field of measuring techniques of non-electrical quantities comprises a wide range of various sensors. Passive sensors represent an important group, into which resistive, inductive, capacitive, magnetic and ionization sensors are arranged. Basic findings of measurement are presented, and particular kinds of sensors, their functional principles, application examples and evaluation of their properties are described in the thesis.
Testing of airflow sensor
Chovanec, Radim ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This work is aimed at measuring air velocity, especially in closed channels. Closed channel flow sensor testing is performed in cooperation with Sensit Rožnov. A test work station has been designed and created on which the selected characteristics of the sensor were practically verified. The work describes the measurement procedure and its subsequent evaluation.
A Similitude Analysis in Case of Water Turbines
Dokoupil, Pavel ; Habán, Vladimír (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This paper is cocerning in model testing of water turbines. Paper is devided in two sections. In first section is brief summary of theoretical basis of water turbine model testing. Second section is concerning with practical measurement of Francis turbine and evaluation of basic charakterisics.
Possibility of Measurement Automation
Ilichman, Ondřej ; Košíková, Jana (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the automation of measurement with the using of hardware and software. Efforts to objectification processes and eliminating human influence on the outcome are increasingly reflected in the technical fields of measurement. In this work, methods of measurement modification, transformation and subsequent analysis of the measured quantity are discussed. Since nowadays it is possible to automate nearly all types of measurement, it is shown, under what circumstances is appropriate to use automated measurements. The final section is devoted to solution of software and hardware design for measuring temperature in the server room. They are proposed 3 possible solutions and on the basis of their analysis the optimal variant is chosen.
