Occurrence of mercury in the hair of school children.
HLADÍKOVÁ, Alena
The target of the thesis was to summarize the present knowledge to the topic of occurrence of mercury in hairs of the age categories of respondents defined in advance and to evaluate experimentally the load of the human organism by mercury. It was necessary to acquire a sufficient amount of hairs of children of school-age from the selected locality, to determine the total mercury amount in these samples and to evaluate the achieved results from the viewpoint of the toxic load. Within the bachelor thesis, 90 samples of human hairs of nine various age categories in the range from seven to nineteen years (of respondent age) were tested. In each age category, there were 50% samples of the male and 50% samples of female population. Moreover a questionnaire was made up filled in by each participating person. The determination of the total mercury contents was performed on the one-purpose spectrophotometer AMA-254. Means for the total mercury concentration moved deeply under the permitted limit values. Even the highest established mercury value which was 0,38554 mg/kg was under the limit. Using the one-way ANOVA (F2,87=5,4364; p<0,05) in STATISTICA 7 program, it was proved based on the reviewed influence of factors on the level of mercury in the body, that the mercury concentration depends on the consumption rate of the freshwater fish.

Influence of the Social Climate on the Childrens Behaviour at Primary Schools.
VRÁŽELOVÁ, Jana
The 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century have brought a lot of changes in all people´s lifes. There was The big economic crisis, two world wars, totalitarian regime and terrorostic attacks. But there were also some positive events. The 20th century was influenced by progress in car and aircraft industry, medicine and the media. These events intervened in society, in every individual´s life. This happened in the Czech republic too. Except for these events, our country was influenced by totalitarian regime and the following coming of demokracy. How has it changed people´s lifes and children´s behavior in a century, that is also called {\clqq}the century of child``? The aim of this Diploma Work was to map the Influence of the Social Climate on the Childrens Behaviour at Primary Schools in South Bohemian region. A partial aim of the Diploma Work was to compare facts from literature from 70th and 80th years of 20th century and from 90th years of 20th century and after year 2000. I used a secondary data analysis. I compared books and articles about upbringing. Some of them were edited in 70th and 80th years of 20th century and some books and articles were edited in 90th years of 20th century and after year 2000. This method was supplement wit semistandardized interviews with 25 primary and secondary school teachers. The main quota was the teachers´age. They had to be older than 40 years to be able to compare children´s behavior before and after 1989. The results of the interviews showed, that most of asked teachers feel the change in children´s behavior after coming of demokracy in the Czech republic. These teachers think, that it is caused by political change in our country. This fact agrees with literature resources I used in my Diploma Work only partialy. Most of the resources coincide, that the change of the children´s behavior is caused by general development of society, the coming of demokracy is only a part of this development. In the research following hypotheses were determined: Hypothesis 1 Behavior of today´s children isn´t caused only by the coming of demokracy. Hypothesis 2 Playing PC games and watching TV is the most frequent way of spending children´s free time. Hypothesis 3 Older generation of teachers adapt badly to modern teaching techniques. This Work should help teachers to realize, that not only a political system changes children´s behavior. This Work should also help parents and schools to realize, that society development changes children´s behavior. Today´s children are surrounded by many stimulations, material things etc. This could also change their behavior, values and attitudes.

VIKTOROVÁ, Vendula
Breast carcinoma is at present one of the most frequent diseases of women which affects all areas of woman ´s life and becomes all-society problem. It is an oncology disease which brings a woman and her close relatives a huge psychical and physical stress. One of the possibilities to cure the breast cancer is the chirurgical removal of the whole breast (mastectomy), which is a huge change not only in woman ´s social life. The thesis gives information on breast carcinoma, risk factors for the onset of the disease, clinical symptoms, diagnostics and the treatment of breast carcinoma. Further, it describes the possibilities of reconstruction therapy, rehabilitation and psycho- social effects of cancer. The objective of the thesis was to find out if and how mastectomy influences the social life of women. For the data elaboration the method of quantitative research by means of questioning was used. The questionnaires were addressed to women with breast carcinoma after mastectomy. The research group was created by the clients of General Faculty Hospital in Prague. The questionnaires were anonymous and voluntary, in the form of 25 closed and semi-open questions. Hypothesis H1: negative influence of mastectomy depends on the partner ´s attitude and the family support, was proved. Hypothesis H2: mastectomy negatively influences single women and women without children, was also proved. Hypothesis H3: women after mastectomy are of worsened occupational use, was disproved. The research has shown that the question of solving social issue in women after mastectomy is more and more up- to-date. Average age of respondents is 51 - 60 years. In the question concerning the change of life in women after mastectomy were most frequently mentioned the problems with the change in dressing, sport activities and psychical problems. The awareness of women on rehabilitation, reconstruction operations, possibilities of using epithesis and also on the civic partnerships focused on breast diseases should improve.

Hozáková, Hana ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Hubertová, Lucie (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is based upon the synthesis of my own findings and experience with working with the children of migrants. It results from my three-year involvement in Berkat Civil Society Organization activities. In the first part of my thesis I focus on introduction of the issues related to migrants in the Czech Republic. I address particularly the integrative process and the institutions that play important role in inclusion of foreigners into society. In subsequent chapters I investigate primarily the lives of children of migrants in schools and families as well as their mental troubles I encounter during my work with them. I also introduce a specific example of the work with children through detailed description of one of the trips with children outside of Prague. By using various examples I present particular specific dissimilarities of children of migrants from other children. In the final conclusion I introduce several suggestions for changes that would, according to my opinion, enable improvement of the programs of Berkat Civil Society Organization. Cost-effectiveness of vaccination against the bacteria Neisseria meningitidis B in children aged 0-4 years
Kříž, David ; Pažitný, Peter (advisor) ; Kandilaki, Daniela (referee)
After many years of research have been developed, and then in January 2013 approved by the European Medicines Agency new multicomponent vaccine against meningococcal disease Group B Bexsero from Novartis. Meningococcal disease, because of its rapid progression and tragic consequences, a very dangerous disease. The aim of my thesis was to try to quantify the impact on the costs and benefits of the introduction of vaccination for the most vulnerable groups, namely children after birth to 4 years of age, by comparing the hypothetical vaccinated and unvaccinated cohorts. The work itself has not demonstrated at today's prices and epidemiological data Bexsero vaccines, cost efficiency. However, at a reduced cost or increased incidence of cases appear to vaccination Bexsero as well utilized resources.
