Simulate corrosion of materials part of aircraft in the salt spray environment
Cének, Lukáš ; Tulka, Jaromír (referee) ; Pacal, Bohumil (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the corrosion behaviour of aluminium alloys of panel of an aircraft in the salt spray environment. The panels are made of dural sheet (AlCu4Mg1), with surface coated with aluminium of purity 99,5 % and of L-square shapes of dural too(AlCu4Mg1), without coating. There were obtained values of corrosion rate and weight losses from previous experiment. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the samples and a create mathematical model for the salt spray test panels for aircraft.
Fabrication and Characterization of Templates for Fabrication of Nanowires
Lednický, Tomáš ; Čechal, Jan (referee) ; Škoda, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on fabrication of alumina templates by anodization of pure aluminium. The theoretical part discusses the growing process of anodized oxide layers and its dependency on the crucial parameters (solutions, anodization voltage, time). The theoretical part is particularly based on literature retrieval. The experimental part is aimed to the fabrication of alumina membranes: the apparatus design, aluminium foils preparation, aluminium anodization, membrane modifications for next applications (nanowires deposition) and membrane characterization.
Materials for Passenger Car Bodies
Vondrák, Zdeněk ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work is devoted to description of modern personal car body construction, materials of car bodies, surface finishing and methods of body parts joining. The work presents a list of materials that are used during manufacture of individual parts of body. Further, the work is concerned with surface finishing methods, especially those focused on anti-corrosion protection. The final part deals with various options of joining, that we may encounter in the automobile industry.
The corrosion study of part aircraft at the site of spot welds in the salt spray environment
Němčíková, Eva ; Doležal, Pavel (referee) ; Pacal, Bohumil (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the corrosion study of part aircraft at the site of spot welds in the salt spray environment. The panel is made of sheet of aluminium alloy AlCu4Mg1, with surface coated with aluminium of purity 99,5 %, and of square shapes of alloy AlCu4Mg1, without coating. Square shapes are an angle cleat. The thesis deals with corrosion characteristics at the site of spot welds and in the area of contact between them. It deals with character of corrosion, frequency of occurrence and range of corrosive attack. From the data files were detected critical places of construction.
The corrosion study at the site of riveted joints of material different part of aircraft in the salt spray environment
Ječmínka, Marek ; Tulka, Jaromír (referee) ; Pacal, Bohumil (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the corrosion study of part aircraft at the side of riveted joints in the salt spray environment. Riveted joint is made of rivet aluminium alloy AlCu4Mn, square shape is made of aluminium alloy AlCu4Mg1 and sheets are made of the same material coated with aluminium of purity of 99,5 %. The thesis deals with corrosion characteristics at the site of riveted joints and in the area of contact between sheets. It deals with character of corrosion, frequency of occurrence and range of corrosive attack. From the data files were detected critical places of construction.
New trends and material usage in bicycle frame design
Jelínek, Vladimír ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
Thesis in its first part summarizes the evolution of the bicycle from the draisine to the low wheels with a focus on the material of the frame of the bicycle. Also discussed in this section is an overview of small structural modifications, which were gradually used on a bike, like Bowden brake or the first type of transmission system. In the second part, the thesis describes the operating principles and types of suspension forks and disc brakes. Mentioned are materials that are currently used for bike frames with a focus on the advantages and disadvantages of each material used and its future anticipated use.
Welding of aluminium sizable weldments.
Tkaný, Jan ; Kovář, Petr (referee) ; Daněk, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis created within the general Bachelor's study gives insight into the basic division of aluminum alloy, a summary of technologies and principles of welding aluminum and its alloys. It is focused on the description of cutting Al alloy and their suitability for welding, the characteristics of different methods and description of problems in the welding of large-scale aluminum weldments. For each of the methods are given the possibility of application, a description and diagram of operation and specifics on the protective gas or electrodes. Problems in the welding of large parts are characterized by external and internal deformations, complex stress fields, where appropriate, the temperature fields. To determine the size of the deflection angle is given an example of the chart for the practical use. In conclusion it is stated that the method is appropriate to apply in case of large weldments.
Reactivity and controll of properties of metallic materials
Kouba, Jan ; Richtera, Lukáš (referee) ; Zmrzlý, Martin (advisor)
This study deals with properties of aluminum alloys that are used in aerospace industry, particularly with alloy 2024. In introduction, the fundamental questions of metallurgy of aluminum alloys and their basic properties are summarized. Then the specific parameters of alloy 2024 are commented. It is followed by short summary of aluminum inorganic chemistry and chemistry of its compounds. Next chapter is an introduction to corrosion and description of its particular forms. The following section sets out a summary of results of recent research in the field of aluminum alloys corrosion, some details about corrosion product analysis and published results concerning hypochlorites, what is the key substance in experimental part. The experimental part is focused on the influence of temperature and concentration of sodium hypochlorite solution on corrosion of Al 2024, cladded by pure aluminum.
Determination of eutrophication potential of particles in rivers and waterbody sediments
JAN, Jiří
Extraction solutions were assessed to find the most appropriate method for characterisation of particles in the context of release or uptake phosphorus in non-calcareous regions. Advantages and limitations of methods for determination of different phosphorus (P) forms and its important binding components iron and aluminium (hydr)oxides, were pointed out. Characterisations of these forms, that show highly different behaviour under changing environmental conditions, were used for the assessment of particles saturation with respect to P. Sorption/desorption behaviour of soil particles susceptible to erosion and their content of plant available P was tested. Strong correlation, which is dependent on P saturation ratio, was used to propose a method for the determination of soil erosion impact to supply dissolved P in stream waters of variable dissolved P concentration.
