Prachatice, Gothic and Renaissance city. A practical art course for secondary school pupils.´=

The present thesis consists of two parts. The first follows the approximate overview of the history of Prachatice during the Gothic and Renaissance in the local context, the most important monuments in these styles, basic phenomena of the medieval and early modern life in Prachatice, including cultural and historical context of the everyday life of the bourgeoisie of the time (mainly tradings on The Golden Path and it's association to economics of the city development, architecture, politics, city defense strategy). The second part is devoted to teaching the transformation of the information obtained for the second stage of primary school pupils. It contains some possibilities of learning of the issue, with the proposal of methodologies aimed at developing of creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, responsiveness and communication skills of the students. Primarily it focuses on less used methods in general practice (game guide, dramatic outputs) and also on the methods associated with modern information technologies (work with photos) and examining their options. In the end of thesis is also attached illustrated appendix.
Ancient motifs in the world of the last Rosenbergs

The diploma thesis deals with the forms of self-representation of the last Rosenbergs. They were using the representations to support their political positions. The paper is based on a study of the panegyrics and symbolic decorations of the Rosenbergs' castles that were used to present the virtues of the Renaissance nobleman. The study analyzes Roman motifs of the Rosenbergs' propaganda. It tries to capture the views of particular individuals on selected ancient motifs from representation of the Rosenbergs. Ancient exempla presented the Rosenbergs by using the language of symbolic communication as Christian knights.
The castle in Kratochvíle

The topic of this thesis is The castle in Kratochvíle. First and formost I deal with a rich building history of The castle in Kratochvíle. In this context, I created the profile builder of Kratochvíle - Viléma z Rožmberka. His partner in the development of this remarkable building was Italian architect Baldassare Maggi, who created the work in case of The castle in Kratochvíle over its significance beyond the narrow region of the Czech Renaissance architecture. The one part of this thesis contains short biography of Baldassare Maggi. In the last part I tried to find any analogy of The castle in Kratochvíle compared with villa architecture in Italy and France.
From Tom Thumb (Paleček) to Eulenspiegel or Prosopography in humanist entertainment prose

The thesis From Tom Thumb (Paleček) to Eulenspiegel or Prosopography in humanist entertainment prose is an analysis of main literary characters of selected Czech books of folk reading. Opening part is dedicated to the Renaissance and Renaissance culture in general. The periodization and brief characteristic of Czech humanist literature from the years between the half of the 15th century and the 1620?s is mentioned further. The thesis gives more detailed look at entertainment prose and primarily discusses books of folk literature which were integral part of Czech verbal culture. The analytic part is focused on prosopography in several books of folk reading ? Eulenspiegel, Tom Thumb (Paleček), Franta?s Law and Doctor Faust. The aim is to describe main characters, capture their artistic depiction and foremost to assess their moral code.
The character of Faust in Czech literature

The aim of the thesis will be the comparison and impairment of evolution in the concept of Faustian character in four works of Czech literature during the period of humanism, Renaissance and National Revival. The basis will be Life History of Doctor Faustus which was published by Jar.Kolár in 1611 release by Martin Carchesius and slightly modified edition of V.R.Kramerius in the series of Jan Lehár. There will be Matěj Kopecký´s puppet theatre play and the Faustus House legend from the Alois Jirásek´s Old Czech Legends interpreted in the backround of the analysis of these two texts. The student will try to outline the evolution of the view of the doctor Faustus´s character in the period context and consider the level of fun and the moral appeal in each work. The student will deal with Faustus in the context of humanistic desire for knowledge in conection with Life History of Doctor Faustus by Carchesius.
Roman motifs in the self-presentation of the renaissance nobleman. Symbolic decorations in the Golden Hall of the villa Kratochvíle

The aim of this bachelor thesis is recognition of the various ideas of the symbolic decorations of the Kratochvíle château. The analysis of the figural stucco scenes in the Golden Hall is compared to the inner world of the renaissance nobleman. The interpretation of the symbolic emblems based on the Livy's History of Rome helps with the understandings of the self-presentation of Wilhelm von Rosenberg.
Boccaccio´s short stories and their influence on the Czech Humanism Literature

This bachelor thesis is an analysis of the Czech humanistic writer´s pieces in respect to the impact of the renaissance author Giovanni Boccacio. A special attention is paid to the authors such as Mikuláš Konáč from Hodiškov and Hynek from Poděbrady and to the Boccaccio´s novells translations. The emphasis is layed on erotic motives in humanism and the contribution of Boccacio´s themes in Czech literature. The bachelor thesis is also a kind of literary speculation over a possible connection between Mikuláš Konáč´s translations and the texts from the Bible.
The View of the Death in the Thought Conceptions in the Course of History

Dissertation .. The approaches towards death and burial in different historical epochs of mankind dealing with a view of death in intellectual conceptions during the history. People have been engaged in the question of life and deaths for ages. It is one of the oldest, the hardests and the most fundamental questions which are asked. We can think of the death in two levels: a general and a personal. The comprehension of deaths was developing in history. Thesis traces, what affected and how it is possible, that the today`s subject of personal death states taboo, even if masmedia floods us with death of others. For understanding, the thesis goes throught history. From the methodological aspects it follows the time line, divides the history into ancient world, the Middle Ages and modern period, as well as on horizontal line following individually nations and their intellectual directions.

Dissertation headed {\clqq}Architecture of rural manors in the region of Táborsko`` dwell on matter of historical progress of landed gentry castles and forts architecture placed in the region of Táborsko. Paper presents conditions of chosen buildings in 2007-2008. Document does not present all existing buildings of this type. Sample is however selected to represent wide spectrum of architectural styles as from Gothic style, over Renaissance to historicist styles of 19th century. Author comes out both from information stated in the various specialized and touristic publications and from the outcomes of his own survey.
