Montessori Tools Use for Development of Language Competences Children with Disabilities.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create didactic guidance according to the principles of Marie Montessori, who would support verbal development at children suffering from dysphasia. Data collected during analysis will be used to support decision which domains the guidance should be focused on. The guidance will be then created so it meets Montessori pedagogy requirements and will be shown to parents afterward. A qualitative survey is selected to achieve the objectives set. Results of practical part consist of multiple tools enhancing evaluation of the object size (big smaller - the smallest, small bigger - the biggest), colours, prepositions (above, bellow, in, besides, in between) and hearing comprehension. It is recommended to work with tools in predefined order and to begin with colours rather than with prepositions. All tools are motive active and built in three versions. Testing subjects worked with tools systematically, could focus on the task and finish the task successfully. Their performance was influenced by repeating activities and tools attractiveness as well as tediousness and surrounding environment. In conclusion, the investigation proved that verbal development at subjects suffering from dysphasia can be enhanced using Montessori tools.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the flow of time

The goal of this work is to provide an insight into the history of ADHD in global consequences, internationally and with special attention to Czech countries. With a contribution of broad number of literature the work is looking for answers on questions: Where and when had the diagnosis of ADHD appeared for the first time and what was it precise meaning? How the term itself and its content changed in time? How the attitude towards the hyperactive children was changing? In our environment the greatest emphasis is laid on terms Light Children Encephalopathy, Light Brain Dysfunction and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Where and when they first appeared, what was a difference in their meaning and mainly in approach towards children that were its carriers. From the comparison of answers to aforementioned questions it is clear that although each of the terms emphasizes different side of a complex problem the contents differ very slightly. Each title mirrors gradual growth of professional knowledge and society. However main aim, for all of those notions, stays primarily to provide an aid to children suffering from any of the mentioned conditions.
The Family and Child with the syndrome of hyperactivity with attention deficit disorder

This dissertation named Family and child with hyperactivity syndrome and attention deficit (hereinafter child with ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders) is concerning with problems of families which are bringing up, caring and a looking after a child with ADHD. The aim of the dissertation is mapping of life of a family with child suffering from ADHD. Furthermore to describe how such a family perceives behavior of other people from the surrounding towards such a family. Also how a child with ADHD syndrome intervene in a life of its siblings and social functioning of its own family. Within the dissertation there is determined one important question "What is like a life of a family with a child suffering from ADHD syndrome". Theoretical part of the dissertation describes ADHD syndrome. How is it possible to influence ADHD and what are latest medical treatments of children and adults. Within the theoretical part attention is also given to the educational possibilities for children with ADHD, family relationships and potentially socially dangerous effects of children and adults influenced by ADHD syndrome. For the empiric part of the dissertation was chosen method of qualitative research via technique of semi-structured interview containing 26 questions led with 7 mothers of children suffering from ADHD syndrome. Questions are directed at social functioning of each family and their family life. The findings are showing that family life where there is a child with ADHD is directly and strongly influenced. Children with ADHD syndrome need more care than other children in the family and this causes unease and uneven relations between siblings. Children with syndrome do not achieve results matching their intelligence, they lag behind their potential. It was proved that older children show socially dangerous effects such as tobacco or drug addiction. Also the whole family is often seen in by the public in a negative light. This dissertation can be beneficial to parents of children with ADHD syndrome who can compare their feelings with feelings and experience of other parents who have a child affected with such disorder.
The Child with ADHD Syndrome at Nursery School

This bachelor's thesis named "Child with ADHD Syndrome in Kindergarten" is aimed at mapping problems connected with upbringing and education of children with ADHD syndrome in the kindergarten environment. Such study could lead to extension of our knowledge of the ADHD syndrome, to understanding the child's living situation, and further to a description of possibilities of systematic work with such children which could result in allleviation of ADHD syndrome manifestations.
Social and emotional development of an individual with ADHD syndrome

Bachelor thesis "Social and emotional development with individuals with ADHD" (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders) addresses how individuals develop from birth until early adulthood, and what problems these individuals, their parents, teachers and the whole neighborhood faces. Given that from ADHD syndrome suffer between 3-5% of the child population, it is certain that almost every teacher encounters with a child suffering from the syndrome. Personality of a teacher has an important impact on a development of a student with ADHD syndrome and influences mainly whether a child with the syndrome receives at school appropriate evaluation, will perform with adequate results with regard to their intellect and whether a child will like to go to school or will only have bad memories of school. Syndrome of attention deficit disorder together with hyperactivity is also currently known as so-called ADHD syndrome. Children which suffer from this disorder tend to be hyperactive, impulsive and have attention deficit disorder. For this reason they have behavioral and learning problems mostly from the first grade of primary school. Despite the fact that the intelligence of children with ADHD syndrome is not affected by the syndrome and in most cases they have average to above-average intelligence the children do not reach adequate results at school. Often receiving bad grading or being criticized for bad behavior and receiving notes sent home. These children are identified by others as sloppy, fools, punk, thugs, cheeky, etc." This thesis contains overview of up-to-date knowledge of this area (issue), above all reasons for ADHD, diagnostics and kinds of ADHD, legislation, possibilities of how to reduce ADHD syndrome and influence positively at a child as of very early age until the completion of the school attendance. In my research I have concentrated on evaluation of the main problems of individuals influenced by ADHD syndrome. These individuals suffer with ADHD as of early age up until adulthood during their studies and while spending free time. Taking into consideration the view of the teachers, doctors, parents and social workers. Study of the Bachelor thesis was prepared based on qualitative research method, the data were obtained from 3 kinds of anonymous surveys which were composed while using closed, semi-open and open questions. The studied group consist of doctors from hospital - pediatric department in České Budějovice, from children psychiatric hospital in Opařany, teachers from the primary school in Týn nad Vltavou and social workers from department MěÚ in Týn nad Vltavou. The aim of the research was to find out whether students if they are provided with specific educating and raising needs still show problems during tuition. If the individuals with ADHD syndrome are accepted by other children in a group, if based on the research persists syndrome ADHD until the adulthood and if this issue is perceived or ignored by layman and professional public.
The specifics of working with children with ADHD

My thesis deals with methods of work with children with ADHD. It describes hyperactivity in different evolutional periods of children and also how it affects families. This thesis describes the approach to education of children with ADHD and also characterizes different facilities that provide care for both children with ADHD and their parents. Appendices include case studies. Two of them show positive impact of ceramic art therapy, the third one describes how mother and daughter used available services and facilities to deal with ADHD problem.
Acceptance of ADHD-child by teacher in the class of a kindergarten in South Bohemia

In the present Bachelor thesis, we survey and analyse the problem of children suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) and their acceptance from the point of view of a pre-school pedagogue.We open the thesis defining the basic concepts and ADHD implications.The main part of the present paper is dedicated to an investigation that has been carried out in the region of South Bohemia. It reveals difficulties with accepting and managing a child sufferring from ADHD by an educator. We include possible solutions for coping with such situations, all of which are applicable in the environment of nursery schools.

The practical part is engaged in the description of the game of children with ADHD. It ´s engaged in its progression obtained by observation. This essay contains the methodical suggestions for leading of the game of children with Atention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Play of a child with ADHD

Theoretical part characterizes a disorder called ADHD {--} the term ADHD itself, symptoms, reasons for origin, criterions for diagnosis assignment. In the next theoretical section there is a game compiled, its asset for a growth of child´s personality, especially spontaneous play, typical for pre-school aged children, using the play for diagnostics. The practical part presents a survey, where observation was used as a method. Five pre-school children with symptoms of ADHD disorder were observed and their way of play is more developed. There was an intention to watch whether the disorder itself displays in children´s play and how much the play is influenced by this disorder. In conclusion there are given some possibilities which could help to have more succesful and smooth way of work with these children.
PARENTAL APPROACHS TO CHILDREN WITH ADHD

The upbringing of a child with the ADHD-syndrome in a family and also at school is a hard and longtime process. It requires a good knowledge of this matter. Parents and pedagogues who meet with the ADHD child should be well informed about peculiarities of its evolution. They should be able to cope with the upbringing of the child in difficult conditions. The targets of the work The target number 1: to provide review of basic information about the ADHD-syndrome and proper attitude to those children especially from their parents. The target number 2: to investigate awareness of parents of children with the ADHD-syndrome, who are clients of the pedagogical and psychological guidance centres. There are the following hypotheses: The main hypothesis: Parents who live in towns and cities have more information than parents who live in the country. The work hypothesis number 1: We presuppose most of clients come to the pedagogical and psychological guidance centre on recommendation of a class master. The work hypothesis number 2: We presuppose parents get most of information from skilled specialists. The research has confirmed the main hypothesis and the work hypothesis number 2. The work hypothesis number 1 hasn{\crq}t been confirmed. The conclusion of the research is that it would be better to concentrate more on education of teachers of primary and nursery schools. The results of the research can be a valuable help for providing the parents with the basic information and recommending the special care, mainly for parents who live in the country. To prevent the child`s character development from impairment and serious behaviour disorder, active and positive attitude based on co-operation of all people, who take part in the upbringing of the child is necessary. This bachelor work was written especially for parents who have a child with ADHD. It summarises the basic pieces of knowledge of the ADHD syndrome and it endeavours for display the accesses,which the specialist recommend. The results of the research can be used by pedagogical and psychological guidance centre.
