Analysis of Euro Currency in Slovakia

This bachelor thesis mainly deals with the analysis of the Slovak economy since the introduction of the Euro on January 1, 2009 until the January 2015. Thesis further deals with the brief history of the European monetary integration, integration of the Euro in Slovakia and how the development of the Slovak economy was since its independence in 1993 until the introduction of the Euro. It presents how Slovakia was dealing with the meeting of Maastricht criteria and the preparation of citizens of Slovakia for a new currency. In thesis is also stated the impact of the economic crisis on Slovak economy and the impact of the crisis on public finances of the whole Eurozone. It explains European rescue funds the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and how Slovakia dealt with the introduction of these funds. The analysis itself deals with the development of the Slovak economy, especially the development of the foreign trade and the GDP. The analytical part of the thesis compares the current situation in Slovakia concerning the inflation, growth of minimum wages, labor productivity per hour, growth of the GDP, total public debt and unemployment with the situation in other countries of the Eurozone. In the last chapter are stated opinions of experts about the present and the future situation of the Euro.

Analysis of economy of the selected agricultural company

Object of the diploma work is economic analysis of a selected agricultural company. Main aim of the work is, based on economic situation analysis of the agricultural company Unesovsky statek a.s. in years 2010-2014, suggestion of measures and recommendation of procedures that would lead to overall improvement from the external users´ perspective. Main goal is met by following partial aims:
- Introduction and characteristic of the company Unesovsky statek a.s.
- Application of financial analysis methods in the period 2010-2014
- Comparison of some indicators that are used by similar companies operating in the Pilsen region.
Diploma work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the first part, there is processed a bibliographical research. Author of the work used professional literature as well as internet sources. Second part deals with practical application of the information gained from the previous study. Content of this part is application of financial analysis methods. Final part of the work deals with the summary of the findings, their evaluation as well as recommendation.

Selected aspects of economic relations between the European Union and the People's Republic of China at the beginning of the 21st century and their real impact on the world economy

The main aim of this dissertation is to analyze selected economic activities and economic relations occurring between the European Union and China. This dissertation is divided into four main chapters to ensure coherence and continuity throughout the research. The first chapter deals with the historical development of mutual cooperation between Europe and China. This chapter emphasizes recent events. The most extensive part of this work, the second section, addresses key areas of cooperation between the EU and China. Most of the research focus is devoted to trade economic relations and investment relations. Further, the second chapter addresses controversial areas within the mutual EU-China relations. In contrast with the second chapter, which looks at the mutual relations from the perspective of the whole EU, the third chapter distinguishes bilateral relations between two EU countries and China. The purpose of the third chapter is therefore to highlight the different approach of individual EU member countries. In the last chapter, I try to assess the growing influence of both the EU and China within the global economy. Finally, I outline the possible future development of the research topic.

Analysis of economy selected agricultural enterprises

The Diploma Thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic activities of some agricultural enterprises. For the assessment, the companies based in the same region were chosen ZS Dublovice, a.s. and ZS Kosova Hora, a.s. Their participation in agriculture is traditional and both companies are stable and well-working. The primary activity of ZS Dublovice, a.s. is production of electric power. In the recent years, they put emphasis on animal farming development and environmental protection. ZS Kosova Hora is distinguished by the crop farming, nevertheless the main source of livelihood is animal farming. The evaluation was made for years 2010 up 2014.
The theoretical part consists of the financial analysis, its procedure, methods, indicators and basic economic terms. The practical part is focused on characteristic of joint-stock companies, analysis of corp and animal farming, entire investments in the mentioned years and also the calculations of the financial analysis of operational outcomes using certain methods. The entire calculations are based on accounting statements and company documentation.
The conclusion of the Thesis contains appraisal of the state of economic activities, comparison of the financial situation of both companies and the forward view on the possible development, innovations or changes that would contribute to improving the situation of both companies.

Development, management and economy of public-benefit corporations focused on further education of teaching personnel in the Czech Republic

This master´s thesis which is called Development, management and economy of public-benefit corporacions focused on further education of teaching personnel in the Czech Republic, in its theoretical part describes the formation of such organisation, the reasons, goals and the visions, that lead the founder to start up such organisation. Furthermore it describes its functioning and related management, financing and fulfilling the ideas and visions of its founders.
The practical part contains an evaluation and description of the results, which were identified based on the qualitative aspects, data analysis from annual reports and websites of selected governmental organizations from the Liberec Region, the Ustí nad Labem Region and the Central Bohemia Region, and which deal with training and education of teaching staff.
Also, based on the expert examination this thesis describes the achieving of goals of these institutions, their development, management and relations with the founders and also the management of selected state-funded institutions. At the very end, based on the collected data and the results of each survey this thesis designes a possible future development of the state funded institution called Centrum vzdělanosti Libereckého kraje (the Institution of Education of Liberec Region).

Knowledge economy and education in Czech Republic

Human capital and level of the education are essential components of the enterprise competitiveness and economic development. The positive perception is very important for the development of human capital. Contemporary society requires to companies care about their employees and their further education. These investments should return in the form of higher motivation, better productivity, increased use of knowledges and greater willingness to participate in innovations. Education helps reduce social differences, prevent unemployment and other negative things. The thesis deals with the issue of the knowledge economy, human resource and the impact of the education on unemployment. The first part is focused on theoretical knowledge which are knowledge economy, human resources, education system of the Czech Republic and labour market. The second part is focused on the analytical indicator of education. Indicators compares Czech Republic with other OECD countries in terms of unemployment and human resources. The conclusion of thesis is devoted to a summary and evaluation of the analytical part of the thesis.
