Psychological aspects of teamwork
Voskár, Michal ; Jarošová, Eva (advisor) ; Pauknerová, Daniela (referee)
Forming individuals into work groups is a common practice to effectively achieve given goals. However, people are not well aware of psychological aspects affecting group work. This paper introduces chosen psychological phenomena and summarizes their influence on teamwork into one comprehensive unit. Second, it examines emergence of groupthink based on Janis' model (1972) in a decision-making environment with high impact on subjects involved. The results confirm implications of Janis' model in practice and suggest that groupthink may have an indirect effect on team performance mediated by interaction within the group. The findings of this study indicate more attention should be paid to internal activities of the team in future research of Janis' model of groupthink.

Polynomials in text-books in the Czech Republic and in Finland
Durdíková, Ivana ; Vondrová, Naďa (advisor) ; Sýkora, Václav (referee)
This thesis focuses on the teaching of algebra, especially its part called polynomials. The first part contains general characteristics, regularities and goals of teaching algebra at school according to the presentation in specialized literature. The main goal of the work is to compare how polynomials are taught in the Czech Republic and Finland, considering its interpretation and extent in curriculum and textbooks. By comparing selected Czech and Finnish lower and upper secondary school textbooks, it was found out that there was a difference in the extent of teaching patterns for working with polynomials. While the interpretation of this is similar in all of the textbooks, the extent in Czech lower secondary school textbooks is comparable to the extent in Finnish textbooks for upper secondary school with extended education in mathematics. There is also a collection of problems included in this work, as these can act as motivation in teaching polynomials. They have been chosen from Czech and Finnish textbooks and categorized according to their assignment.

Comparison of noradrenalin medication during cardio surgeries using extracorporeal circulation
Samková, Markéta ; Špunda, Miloslav (advisor) ; Mašín, Jaroslav (referee)
The theme of this thesis is a comparison of two methods of medication a noradrenalin hormone during surgeries using extracorporeal circulation. Both of these methods - continuous and bolus medication are common used in praxis to regulate blood pressure, but it is not uniquely determined which one is more convenient. The thesis has two parts - theoretical and practical research. The theoretical part is concerned with the brief description of extracorporeal circulation technique, including its connection, conduct, anatomical and physiological description of affection of blood pressure and influence of extracorporeal circulation over natural regulation mechanisms. The practical part is concerned with methodical description of the research, description of used tools and statistic evaluation of two groups of patients (each group was medicated via different method - continuous and bolus). The goal of this thesis is to discover, if any of these two methods of controlling the blood pressure is not more convenient regarding the after surgery keeping vasomotoric tonus and the length of convalescence.

The analysis of economy in the selected cities in the territorial scope of authority of MAS in the Šluknov Region
Schovancová, Jitka ; Řezbová, Helena (advisor) ; Eva, Eva (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to find out whether there is a possibility to get other additional sources for the municipalities based on the management comparison of the chosen towns and on the management analysis of local action group. The work focuses on budgetary income and expenditure of the municipality and the budget management. The first part explains the theoretical concepts related to budget, budget management of municipalities, the debt of municipalities and local action groups. The second practical part deals with the analysis of the development and the structure of selected budget sections of the towns Jirikov, Krasna Lipa and Sluknov. It also analyses the development of the budget management of MAS Sluknov Region and the analysis of projects supported by MAS Sluknov Region, pointing out the possibility of using a local action group for municipalities. The evaluation of management of the municipality and the local action group will use absolute and percentage ratios in a time line of five years. As a conclusion I set proposals and recommendations on the basis of the analysis.

Overview Copulation Strategies of European Butterflies
Baráková, Kristýna ; Vrabec, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bubová, Terezie (referee)
Daily butterflies are a very varied and diverse group of the animal kingdom. They are insects with complete metamorphosis and a complex life cycle. Different stages of the development cycle are well known and studied. However, when it comes to the reproduction biology of daily butterflies, there are still a lot of question marks. This is why we decided to compile available information on reproduction strategies of European daily butterflies. This information was gathered by the means of strategically chosen keywords in scientific databases Web of Science (WOS), Scopus and Google Scholar. Based on these sources I compiled general information on reproduction behaviour of butterflies related to the complex processes before copulation, more concretely the mating and selection behaviour of daily butterflies. Consequently I describe concretely the copulation process, where I concentrate mainly on data on the progression of copulation, i.e. duration, minimum age or possible repeated copulation. I also explain general terms connected to copulation, such as paternity or protandry. The following part of the thesis concentrates specifically on copulation strategies of European daily butterflies. For the majority of butterflies I gathered data on mating strategies before copulation, specifically on how males search for females. Furthermore, for som e butterflies I add comprehensive data on duration of copulation, minimum age for copulation or possible repeated copulation. However, the gathered data do not provide sufficient information on the stated topic. It was therefore impossible to realize a statistical evaluation, which was supposed to lead to a recount against the total number of European butterflies. The hypothesis, namely that the vast majority of daily butterflies does not show promiscuous behaviour and copulates only once, has not been affirmed, neither disproven. Scientific publications only scarcely provided concrete information on promiscuous behaviour of daily butterflies. A research on this behaviour would require a more thorough examination. But it would enable us to organize accessible data on butterflies in the Czech Republic.

The potential involvement of celebrities in marketing communication of selected product categories
Jehličková, Anna ; Koudelka, Jan (advisor) ; Vávra, Oldřich (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the involvement of a celebrity in advertising is the right choice and also make recommendation for selecting the appropriate celebrity in advertising beer, more precisely, three specific brands (Pilsner Urquell, Krušovice and Staropramen). In the thesis I explain the basic characteristics of consumer behavior, reference groups, marketing communication, celebrities and marketing research. The application part focuses on the beer market in the Czech Republic and the brewing in 2010, further I pursue my own selection of brands of beers and I state a brief characteristic of both particular beers and businesses. I continue the content analysis and the analysis of my own research, whose main objective is to select particular celebrities for selected brands of beer, on the basis of characteristics and features of celebrities, which should correspond to the image of each brand.

Comparison of QT dispersion and heart rate turbulence
Havránek, Štěpán ; Kittnar, Otomar (advisor) ; Horký, Karel (referee) ; Slavíková, Jana (referee)
Introduction: Both QT dispersion (QTD) and heart rate turbulence (HRT) were studied and tested like potential noninvasive markers for risk stratification. Aims: Compare QTD between different groups of patients with expected different mechanism of developing changes in QTD. Investigate if HRT is present following ventricular train drives and depends on left ventricular dysfunction. Test the hypothesis that QTD and HRT parameters assessed during programmed ventricular stimulation correlated to each other and there is association with iducibility of ventricular arrhythmia. Methods: We analysed body surface potential mapping (BSPM) recordings and vectorcardiographic T-loop parameters (T-loop width - Tw and T-loop amplitude - Ta) in 37 healthy women (20 - 36 yrs) in the 36th to 40th week of physiological pregnancy and 2 to 6 days after delivery. Control group contained 18 healthy women. Then we analysed BSPM recordings from 27 psychiatric outpatients treated with prophylactic doses of dosulepin (20 women, 44 ± 13 yrs) and compared to those obtained from 37 healthy volunteers. From these recordings the QTD was evaluated. This parameter was estimated using both BSPM recordings and 12 lead standard ECG. Acquired data were statistically correlated with Tw or Ta and dosulepin plasma levels, respectively. Distribution...

Analysis of the volume differences on primary registration of raw timber by production sites and measurement principle
Syrovátková, Hana ; Natov, Pavel (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
The main aim of this thesis was to analyze the differences in the volume of first intake of raw timber, according to production sites and measurement principle. There were compared the volumes of primary documents of income and evidence produced timber called summary for growth - assortments and volumes of prin-ted output, based on a production-registration software harvester. In the data pro-cessing was discovered major factor in emergence of differences, for which had to be revised methodology for data evaluation. Due to production indiscipline of the forwarders operator was not possible to assess the volume differences according to the Forest stand groups, but had to be chosen method of data assessment ac-cording to production units. Another factor contributing to the emergence of vo-lume differences was harvester operator. The operator didn´t carry out regular kalibrati-on of harvester measuring system and during entering into production-registration software showed substantial insubordination. In operation, authorities also failed production control of all participants of comprehensive contract. It was especially control of technological procedures. All measured values showed significant differences in the volume. Condition of LCR, claiming differences +- 2% and it meets only 11% of them. There was evaluated the total differences, followed by trees and various assortments. The resulting differences could influence conversi-on coefficient, which was same for all of the assortments of coniferous trees, which certainly doesn´t reflect their quality.

Business Strategy Formulation
Pavelková, Radka ; Pokorná, Jitka (advisor) ; Michaela, Michaela (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the inner and outer environment of a given company and to formulate a concrete strategy using the methods of strategic management. In the theoretical part of the thesis the most important terms of strategic management are presented. In the practical part of the thesis a situation analysis is done, using the stakeholder analysis, PEST analysis, Porter's five forces analysis, analysis of strategy maps, identification of sources and competencies and analysis of competitiveness. Synthesis of the partial outcomes of the different analyses is provided by SWOT analysis. The chosen organization has been found to be weakly competitive. After taking into consideration the positive development of the czech economy and other opportunities from the outer environment it is recommended to enlarge the spectrum of available services and to eliminate the other organization's weaknesses. Also the individual strategic goals and other recommendations are outlined. The formulated strategy is a development of the existing products in the current market.
