Analysis of economic and operational-technical area of housing
Jiříková, Monika ; Gebeltová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Barbora, Barbora (referee)
The bachelor thesis Analysis of economic and operational-technical area of housing is divided into two parts, i.e. a theoretical part and practical part. The thesis describes different types of energy used in housing. It focuses on methods that help reduce operating costs and deals with modern technologies such as low-energy and passive houses, domestic photovoltaic power plants, heat pumps and biomass boilers. The theoretical part is focused on various options of heating, the consumption of electricity, gas, water and the costs associated with the operation of a house. The practical part describes a chosen family house, its heating system with the use of gas and solid fuels, and thermal insulation whose quality was measured by thermo-vision measuring methods. Further described herein is the power consumption of several energy-inefficient appliances. This part also quantifies electricity savings as a result of the installation of a domestic photovoltaic power plant, the change of electricity supplier and the replacement of energy-hungry appliances by the energy-efficient ones. This section lists individual measurements of the consumption of electricity, gas, water and the amount of electricity produced by the domestic photovoltaic power plant. All this is evaluated and the data are compared to show the difference of status before the introduction of savings measures and after their implementation.

Comparison between yellow-flowering hybrid WOSR varieties and white-flowering OP variety Witt in Flower Power System crop management in Agro Rubín a.s.
Vysoký, Josef ; Baranyk, Petr (advisor) ; Jaromír, Jaromír (referee)
Goal of this thesis is to compare yellow flowering hybrid WOSR varieties growth in conventional agriculture to white flowering OP variety growth in Flower Power System (FPS). We also have to confirm/deny that OP variety Witt is at least the same profitable as hybrid varieties (HV), due to the ecological and economical advantages of the FPS. The effect of FPS is in growing Witt variety sown around by earlier yellow flowering variety buffer strip. The yellow flowering strip should be wide as minimum as plant protection sprayer, in this case it was 24 m. The buffer strip was sown by OP variety Cortes. Primary tillage plowing was done immediately after the forecrop of winter barley harvest and after application of organic manure - pig manure on crushed straw. Sowing all studied varieties was conducted in the period 11th to 21st August 2014. Autumn crop emergence and development carried out evenly, no significant pest damage was observed, due to the warm weather was needed triple application of morphoregulator. To winter crops entered with a sufficient number of true leaves, strong root neck and joined rosette of leaves. Spring crop development launched very soon, thanks to a mild winter hibernating varieties by 91-96% plants. Applications of DASA took place in early March, the first application of DAM 390 in the second half of March. Flowering took place in an average of month, March 29 - May 30, 2015. Application of insecticides was carried out on all varieties 1x in the bud stage, the second one in bloom against gall midges (Dasineura brassicae) was dropped due to a weak incidence, so did not show the expected effect of FPS. Harvest was initiated due to the very hot and dry weather on the 21st of July 2015. The overall average yield was 4.64 t8%/ha. Witt yield was 4.64 t8%/ha and buffer strip variety Cortes 4,62 t8%/ha and the HV 4.67 t8%/ha (4.19 to 5.01 t8%/ha). Plant protection products profitability for a variety Witt reached 87.10%, the average HV 87.49% (86.10% to 88.46%). The numbers show us that the OP variety Witt does not reach at least the same profitability as the HV, but when compared with some specific HV is significantly overcome, which is at OP variety interesting. When comparing the content of fat acids, Witt contains almost the same proportions of fat acids as Cortes. That gives no reason to reach higher prices when selling Witt seeds, so you cannot count on this advantage as stated by the dealer. But in conjunction with lower environmental burden on bees and other non-target organisms, the variety Witt seems to be a very interesting choice.

Location study of suitable sites for pumped storage power plants
Strnad, David ; Gdulová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Bašta, Petr (referee)
This theses reports on facts about pumped storage power plants. The first part of the theses introduces us to the importace of hydropower, consists of a description of historical development of pumping sets, and also defines limitations for its potential suitable localization. The research is processed via ArcGIS software and it´s methodologically divided into three phases. The first phase is searching for the minimum suitable terrain gradient on the whole Czech landscape and it defines local insterests for the next phase of research. The second phase is based on limited factors and assesses the chosen location of interest. The final phase provides detail on the most potentially suitable destinations with specific locations of pumped storage power plants. The study resulted in map outputs of final destinations and locations of interest across the Czech landscape. The distinction of source data and the importace of classification of enviromental factors are included in the discussion.

Bio-Solar Houses as part of nature – garden or landscape
Janourková, Tereza ; Kunt, Miroslav (advisor) ; Filip, Filip (referee)
Content of diploma project is primarily theme of natural buildings. It is complex subject of materials, technologies, environmental conditions and most of all integration into the landscape knowledges. Manmade living spaces that respect the laws of nature and friendly approach to the environment, maybe so called as Bio Houses. Surname Bio Solar Houses are named those with maximal use of solar energy. Part of this project is overview of various types of natural buildings, possibilities of using natural materials and approaches to the use of solar power. Own design presents study of the family earth house and garden project of a plot. For project was selected building side in a calm location of Prague Troja. This sloping plot is oriented at South so it gives the best conditions for this building concept. The house benefits from all positives of the earth buildings. Mainly perfect thermal insulation and acoustics properties, which are connected with saving energy. There is moreover interior accumulative wall, which increases heat gains during the winter season. Ventilation system, heating and cooling use vertical ground heat pump and ground heat exchanger. Hot water is prepared by Solar panels with support of photovoltaic system. Rain water is collected for further use. Garden reflects the character of family house, natural conditions of the place and the purpose of use. It is designed for relaxation, active leisure time and for utility. Important role plays a psychological effect coming from choice of elements, especially small garden architecture, materials, tree planting, perennials and interactions of overall composition. The plot has complex design with use of natural environmental properties to create space for living. According to the laws of nature garden never serves only for humans, it is also home for many representatives of small animals and vegetation.

Bayesian Methods for Optimization of Radiation Monitoring Networks
Šmídl, Václav ; Hofman, Radek
Release of radioactive material into the atmosphere is the last possible resort of any accident in a nuclear power plant. It is an extremely rare event, however with severe consequences for potentially many people living in proximity of the power plant. Awareness of radiation security has been increased after the Chernobyl accident, and almost every country is now equipped with monitoring network of on-line connected receptors continually measuring radiation levels. Initial configurations of the network were designed by experts using their experience. In this report, we are concerned with local scale modeling of less severe accident in the range of tens of kilometers from the nuclear power plant. Both the stationary and mobile groups will be discussed. The preferred model of uncertainty is the empirical density which will be assimilated with measurements using the sequential Monte Carlo methodology. We will discuss influence of various loss functions.
