Performance testing of networks with Mikrotik components
Kaláb, Vojtěch ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to develop and describe application for Mikrotik Network stress testing. The aplication is developed in high-level scripting programming language Python. The aplication allowed us to configure and display in diagram our connected routers and network stress testing. Theoretical part is focused on Mikrotik company, their development and products. Next part is about theory of network stress testing and graph theory. The last part is about aplications development, programming language Python and used tools and libraries.
Firewall Security Analysis
Cigánek, Josef ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor essay is about security analysis and stress testing of firewalls. The main goal is to create a testing environment for eavesdropping of all communication of the firewall, on the principal of security analysis of the hardware firewall and stress testing with device Spirent Avalanche. The theoretical part of the essay is informing the readers about the problems surrounding firewall, security audits and penetration tests. The following practical part consists of commenting on the results of chosen security analysis and stress testing, applied in a laboratory for the hardware firewalls Hillstone SG-6000-G2120 and SG-6000-M7260.
Network probe
Skočdopole, Jan ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with load testing and its use in computer security. The goal of this thesis was implementing new functionality in existing solution based on Apache JMeter load testing tool. Next goal was verification of possibility of running testing tool on another operating system and update of documentation. PDF export with electronic signature support shod be implemented in the Network Analyzer plug-in. The Apache PDFBox library was used in this work. Result of thesis is new functionality of export to PDF format with electronic signature support, updated documentation and fix of some module bug.
ICT tester
Tatar, Martin ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the extension of the ICT Tester plugin module which allows the user to digitally sign the generated outputs and with the testing of selected DoS attacks that are implemented in it. In the theoretical part of the thesis, selected types of DoS attacks are analyzed, it is described how they work, how to defend against them, examples of significant attacks that actually took place are included and Apache JMeter is described. In the practical part selected attacks are created and tested. Then the new funcionality for digital signature is implemented.
Integration and automation of deployment of updated load testing modules
Jedlička, Jakub ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Šeda, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on performance testing using JMeter and developing modules for denial of service (DoS) attacks. The thesis first deals with the theory, where performance testing is described, the tools used for this type of testing and finally the types of DoS attacks. The practical part starts with the migration of the operating system of the load tester on which the testing was performed. It also describes the upgrade of the JMeter tool from version 4.0 to version 5.5, updating the custom add-on modules and fixing bugs in modules so that the modules can be used without errors with the JMeter tool in version 5.5. The updated JMeter tool and custom add-on modules are uploaded to the load tester. For future updates, automation scripts are created to update the system packages of the load tester, updating both the custom add-on modules and the JMeter tool. The module extensions that have been made to increase the scope of the tests are then discussed. These extensions add mainly link layer parameters and support for IPv6. The final section describes the newly created parts of the DDoS module. The new parts of the module extend the capabilities of testing web applications using multiple IP addresses or testing using slow attacks.
Comparative amount of muscle mass and involvement preferential and dominant lower limbs in the Wingate test and jump test in adolescent runners
VÍTŮ, Sabina
This graduation thesis deals with the comparison of the amount of muscle and lower limb performance of runners on medium and long distances. 25 athletes aged 18,12 +- 4,51 years are tested, who are tested once on a step weight Tanita, they are also subjected to the Wingate test on a bicycle ergometer, test on the reaction platform, the measurement of lower limb segments and the writing and kicking test. To compare the relationship between muscle mass on lower limb, fat mass on lower limb, muscle mass and performance in the Wingate test, muscle mass and Jumpmax test, muscle mass and circumference of lower limb segments, lower limb circumference and Jumpmax test, lower limb circumference and Wingate test, Jumpmax test and the Wingate test uses the Pearsons correlation coefficient. Based on the research, it was found that lower limb with a larger proportion of muscle mass does not perform significantly higher performance than the other limb. It was found that a jump from a limb with more muscle mass does not reach the higher jump from a limb with more muscle mass. It was found that probands do not achieve significantly higher jumps in the Jumpmax test from limbs with larger muscle circumference. Probands do not reach significantly higher in the Wingate test from limbs with a larger power circumference. Furthermore, it was found that the height of jump from one limb in the Jumpmax test does not correlate with the performance of that limb in Wingate test. In 52 % of athletes, a connection was found between the more powerful lower limb in the Wingate test, the preferred lower limb in the kicking test and the preferred lower limb in the rebound.
Stress Testing of Video Streaming Services
Kříž, Petr ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the load testing of services for adaptive streaming of multimedia content. The thesis starts with a theoretical discussion of load testing and standards for adaptive streaming. The practical part deals with the creation of scenarios for load testing the created streaming server. Finally, graphs are prepared including commenting on the testing result.

Stress Testing of Internet Telephony
Šípek, Martin ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the development of a module for JMeter that adds SIP stress testing functionality that was previously missing in the program. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with Internet telephony and codecs used in telephony. The SIP protocol is discussed in detail and the end of this part is devoted to stress testing. The practical part focuses mainly on the development of the proposed module, where the code of the module is described in detail, but it also deals with the installation and configuration of the Asterisk PBX on which the proposed module is tested. The results of this testing are analyzed at the very end of this thesis.
Macroeconomic stress-testing of banking systems: survey of methodologies and empirical application
Šimečková, Jana ; Geršl, Adam (advisor) ; Pečená, Magda (referee)
This thesis deals with stress testing as a process that helps to assess the impact of potential adverse shocks on the soundness of a financial system. First section is dedicated to non-technical discussion about stress testing and to some methodological issues. The main focus lies on the system-wide macroeconomic stress testing. The empirical part of the thesis is a contribution to macroprudential analysis of the quality of the aggregate loan portfolio in the Czech Republic. This study adopts a vector autoregression model applied to the Czech banking sector in order to judge its stability and present some evidence on macroeconomic variables affecting the Czech banking system. As a measure of the strength of the loan portfolio is used the stock of non-performing loans vis-à-vis total loans in the sector. The thesis follows the widely used methodology and seeks to identify significant macroeconomic risk factors affecting the loan portfolio quality. The latter part aims also to forecast the most likely development of the loan portfolio.
