The diploma thesis deals with the problem of storage capacities of server discs in the allowance organization of Brno City Museum. The organization has long-lasting troubles with insufficient capacity of these discs. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the current state and to propose a suitable solution on the basis of the results of this analysis. Further, the suggested measures should be applied as well.

Bachelor thesis is focused on explaining the basic concepts of backup issues. Discussed the different types of backups, rotation schemes, frequency of backup, data recovery and present recording media. The analysis is monitored by the current state of the relationship of respondents to the backup. The practical part is concerned with the backup using the ROBOCOPY program, and Backup and Restore in Windows.

The thesis also contains a theoretical basis, employing it to develop solutions to the problems.
