Boundary Nodes Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks
Bocek, Jan ; Vajsar, Pavel (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
Theoretical part of thesis describes several known algorithms and new approaches for the bourder node detection in a wireless sensor networks. The new algorithm BRB was inspired by failures of previous algorithms and its major supporting idea is select several neighboring points (B, C). Approach algorithm BRB is a decentralized detection of nodes located at the perimeter. The practical part compares several algorithm with the new BRB algorithm. Quantity of successful and false detection of boundary nodes was evaluated in ideal and real environment. The simulation results shown, that the proposed algorithm is effective solution for accurate border node detection in wireless sensor networks.
Wireless Sensor Network Simulation Model in J-Sim Tool
Vrzal, Tomáš ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of wireless sensor networks and communication protocols. Is explained of what the network is composed, what standards are used and in what sectors are most often used. The main scope of work is to introduce with the localization algorithms using in WSN. Algorithms are clearly divided into groups according to the methods used. In work is describes the structure used simulation tools J-Sim, for creating a wireless sensor network. To create network will be then applied different localization algorithms, which must first be implemented in a simulator using Java code. All generated classes and the algorithms are detailed described in the work. Results from simulations are detailed and graphically displays for individual localization algorithms.
Simulators for Wireless Sensor Networks
Capalini, Richard ; Nagy, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) were designed for purpose of monitoring physical phenomenons and controlling processes by sensors placed in nodes. There are three basic principles: detection of event (phenomenon), data capture and data processing in node. Afterwards data are transmitted to interested node. WSN typically consists of huge number of thousands nodes and one base station. Nodes cooperatively disseminate data towards a base station, which saved them to memory and provide access to users for example over Internet. This work report a comprehensive view of wireless sensor networks and routing tasks in sensor field. Practical part of work is aimed at simulation of choosen routing protocols placed in suitable models.
Localization Services for Web Applications
Kočan, Tomáš ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis was to develop an application that would visualize the position of sensors placed indoors. Since the sensors are located in the buildings, geographical maps are not used as basis, but the user has the option to upload his own background in the form of floor plans of rooms, floors, buildings,... For this purpose, application has tools for uploading, managing and editing such plans. The paper also describes how to use the application to monitor the current and past positions of these sensors. Support for these features is provided by several server components consisting of a REST server, WebSocket server, Upload servers and other services. Their design, description, and implementation is also part of this document. In addition, the work describes RTLS (Real-time locating system) technology, architecture, client application and data security.
IPv6 and power efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks
Kladiva, Roman ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Červenka, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with wireless sensor networks in terms of energy performance of IPv6. It contains a description of wireless sensor networks, sensor node analysis and 6LoWPAN and IPv6 protocols. The another part of the thesis is focused on adaptation layer 6LoWPAN and tools, which used to minimize the transmission unit, and thus to reduce energy consumption. Problems of energy consumption in wireless sensor networks is discribed in the thesis and its possible solutions at the physical and link layers. There are analyzed in detail possibilities of sleep mode and various MAC layer protocols are analyzed in detail. The measuremenr overview of the sensor node and own proposal to improve the measurement method are discribed following in the thesis.
Wireless Sensor Network with Arduino Components
Výborný, Filip ; Král, Jiří (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce the possibility of using Arduino hardware platform as an aid to the creation of wireless sensor networks, focusing especially on the routing of measured data issues from sensor nodes to the base station. My thesis deals with the design and implementation of wireless sensor networks from suitable Arduino components, based on  the  XBee  wireless communication modules which are introduced in the second chapter. The third chapter discusses the selection of a suitable communication protocol, the relatively unknown protocol DigiMesh. The final chapter covers the design of the actual wireless network which has been tested.
Reduction of position estimate error in incremental localization techniques
Pekárek, Jan ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes localization of communications nodes in the Wireless Sensor Networks. This thesis contains basic algorithms for localization sensor's nodes as are Map-Growing and ABC (Assumption Based Coordinates). Then is chosen acceptable algorithm for simulation on random sensor networks. For research these problems is used software MATLAB. For a given the university's environment are researched appropriate algorithms with possible optimalization algorithms. The result of diploma thesis is a localization algorithm with initial multilateration system and this system is located in the center sensor's network. As algorithm IMap4-Growing (Improved Map4-Growing) with optimization, which uses optimization distance between sensors and radio range. In the diploma thesis is simulated optimalization algorithm Mass-Spring.
Localization in Wireless Energy-Constrained Networks
WSN Visualisation
Kočan, Tomáš ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a web application that would serve to visualize, ie. graphical representation of data from sensors on maps. In addition, provide tools to track historical data from the sensors with the use of diagrams. The basis of application are languages JavaScript and HTML together with the use of other libraries such as jQwidgets, jQuery, amCharts and application interface of Google Maps. This paper describes an introduction to wireless sensor networks, description of application architecture, design and implementation of application, as well as the testing and further development.
