Wireless Fidelity Networks
Jäger, Vítězslav ; Plchot, Oldřich (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
Purpose of my Bachelor‘s thesis is to inform about general problems of wireless networks. My work is giving overview about using standards. It Analyzes the most common of them and focuses on their architecture and safety. Part of my work will be a creation of the wireless network for needs of a high school.
Wireless networks security and possible attacks on these networks
Vlček, Peter ; Vymazal, Michal (referee) ; Vychodil, Petr (advisor)
The first of the main objectives of this work was to examine and study the different types of attacks on wireless networks. This work is focused on the most commonly occurring types of attacks such as WEP/WPA/WPA2 cracking, a Man in the Middle attack (MIM), Dictionary attacks, MAC spoofing and finally Denial of Service attacks. Description of individual attacks is also accompanied by detailed instructions on how to carry out these attacks on the Windows platform. It is described how to detect various attacks and identified. It is then implemented software that is able to identify possible risk of selected types of attacks. This software belongs to a group of wireless intrusion prevention system (WIDS). It focuses on attacks WEP/WPA/WPA2 type of cracking, Dictionary attacks and MAC spoofing. For the implementation of defense against attack by a Man in the Middle (MIM) and Denial of Service attack would need special monitoring equipment.
Wireless Network Aspects
Klein, Lukáš ; Neugebauer, Petr (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of wireless networks. It explains basic terms and classification of wireless networks. It also describes the international standard IEEE 802.11 and its extensions. Closed attention is given to the security of wireless networks including safety recommendations for each group of networks.
The Use of GPU to Searching for the Secured Wireless Network Keys
Tyrala, Radek ; Pospíchal, Petr (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis proposes an analysis of wireless networks security with a particular focus on Wi-Fi type networks. In order to define the central elements of the thesis, let us follow a description of the main steps, namely: The characteristics of the currently applied security standards are provided together with a discussion of their weak points. A somewhat closer insight is offered into the WPA2 security standard as well as into the related breaking possibilities. A description is realized of the principle of dictionary attacks and their acceleration using parallel processing on the GPU. Another important point presented consists in a comparison of the GPU and CPU performance for an application implementing dictionary attack on wireless networks protected with the 802.11i standard.
Wireless Network Security
Sedlák, Břetislav ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Lambertová, Petra (advisor)
Master thesis focuses on wireless network security. The thesis is divided in two parts. First part describes today’s used standards and their components, topology and security methods as stealth SSID, MAC addresses filtration, WEP, WPA and WPA2. The last three methods are described in detail. In second part there are realized attacks on above described methods of security. There are described attacks on WEP as KoreK chopchop attack, fragment attack, attack FMS, KoreK and attack PTW. Then is described the dictionary attack on passphrase by WPA/WPA2 with PreShared Key authentication obtaining, precomputed hash tables for faster passphrase finding and for using more core procesors during dictionary browsing. The last attack describes obtaining of keystream used for encrypting of frames by WPATKIP and then sending custom data to client. It is described how to carry out each attack and how to protect against them.
Wireless Fidelity Networks
Bradáč, Dušan ; Slezák, Vít (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This document generally concerns of wireless networks. This job suggest building-up access point (surching for the place, economic part and technical part). Consequently suggest solutions clients stations (type of facilities, way of installations, financial and technical parts). Lastly it focus on servis in sence of repairs and renovation both access point and clients part.
Concept of Wireless Network for SOŠ Podyjí
Truhlář, Petr ; Šareš, Pavel (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
For my paper I have chosen project of a wireless network, which will be actually applied at SOS Podyji. In my paper I will deal with selection of a suitable concept of the wireless network and the functional use of the concept. In a theoretical part of my paper I will engage in wireless networks in general and in security of wireless networks. In a practical part of my paper I will select the most convenient solution, combining the chosen concept, security features and networking devices. I will select the networking devices with regard to their price.
Automated Attacks on WiFi Networks with Low Detectability and Defense Against Them
Klusáček, Jan ; Vrána, Roman (referee) ; Orsák, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to create a tool which can be used for automated Wi-Fi attacks. All types of Wi-Fi security are described, with attacks, which can be used on specific security type. Existing tools used for hacking are described further, of which several are included to the final tool.
Wireless Network Aspects
Vrbovský, Miroslav ; Čulák, Jozef (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis deals with deploying IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. In first, theoretical part my thesis familiarizes the reader with basic terminology, architecture details and 802.11 wireless networking operation fundamentals. In the theoretical part it also discusses modern practices in securing of wireless networks. Practical part contains a wireless network design for company FELS spol s r.o. .
Wi-Fi Password Cracking
Šopf, Petr ; Tisovčík, Peter (referee) ; Orsák, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issues of Wi-Fi networks security. The first part of thesis is about security options and issues related to those options. Next part compares most used tools for Wi-Fi attacks and lists features of those tools. Best tool is then used and software for sniffing communication between access point and client is created. Sniffing tool is created in two version, one version is used for standalone devices and another one for probe developed on FIT BUT.
