ROUBÍČKOVÁ, Radka
Human need is a manifestation of a certain deficiency the removal of which is desirable. An injury disrupts the usual way of a person´s life, changing daily routines and reducing regular activities. A nurse working in the department where patients with injuries are hospitalized should have sufficient knowledge on the subject, must show patients her understanding and a personal interest in them as individuals. The first objective of study was to determine whether patients with injuries in acute care beds are met higher needs. The second objective was to compare the satisfaction of higher level needs in hospitalized patients with injuries in acute care beds by age and sex. The third objective was to determine the knowledge of nurses of higher human needs, and whether nurses are concerned about meeting needs in patients hospitalized with injuries. The survey was carried out quantitatively using the questionnaire method of data collection. Questionnaires were distributed to 55 nurses working in surgical departments of České Budějovice Hospital, plc, and Tábor Hospital, plc, and to 60 patients hospitalized with injuries in surgical departments of the same hospitals. The results of the quantitative research were evaluated using graphs. In accordance with the study objectives, the following hypotheses were stated: Hypothesis 1 Patients hospitalized with injuries in acute care beds show a need for meeting higher level needs. This hypothesis has been confirmed. Hypothesis 2 Nurses are concerned about meeting higher level needs of patients hospitalized with injuries in acute care beds. The hypothesis has been confirmed. Hypothesis 3 Women hospitalized with injuries in acute care beds have a greater need for meeting higher level needs than men. This hypothesis has been confirmed. Hypothesis 4 Elderly patients have a greater need for meeting higher level needs than younger patients. This hypothesis has been refuted. The findings obtained by the research could be used as information for the middle management of the hospitals departments where the research took place and the creation of educational material for nurses working there because it is important to learn more about the needs of patients in order to facilitate and improve meeting their needs.

GREGOROVÁ, Jana
For a person stoma means change both in the health as well as psychosocial area. It is necessary to perceive the person as a bio-psycho-socially-spiritual being requiring satisfaction of all his/her needs. Shortage of satisfaction of psychosocial needs can have very serious impacts on the overall health condition of the client. Stoma nurses and stoma clubs significantly contribute to satisfaction of needs. Stoma nurses deal not only with a preoperative, postoperative care for stoma suffering people, their education but they also help them to solve problems, which occurred in connection with stoma, answer their questions and are their consultants and support. Stoma nurses are a great benefit for stoma suffering people and their families. Stoma clubs are voluntary associations where people suffering stoma meet. Their task is to defend the interests and rights of stoma suffering people, organise meetings, special seminars, cultural events and stays. Versatile activity of the clubs is involved in client?s stoma adaptation, improvement of his/her life and making satisfaction of psychosocial needs easier. The target of the Diploma Thesis was to find out the most frequent psychosocial problems of stoma patients and whether stoma stresses more ileostoma patients than colostomy ones. Targets of the thesis were met. There were defined five hypotheses for the targets. First hypothesis dealt with the question, whether stoma patients suffer lack of satisfaction of psychosocial needs. Second hypothesis analysed, whether stoma disturbed partner life of the stoma patient. Third hypothesis analysed, whether stoma nurses bring benefit to a stoma patient and the fourth one, whether stoma clubs are beneficial for a stoma patient. These hypotheses were proved. The fifth hypothesis analysed, whether stoma stresses more ileostoma than colostomy patients. This hypothesis was not proved. To collect data I used the form of quantitative research using non-standardised questionnaire for people suffering ileostoma and colostomy. This Diploma Thesis shall point out the necessity of satisfaction of psychosocial needs of stoma patients in practice.

HAŠKOVÁ, Jindra
The bachelor thesis titled ``Problems of satisfaction of immobile patients{\crq} needs according to age groups at the subsequent care ward of Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s.{\crqq} addresses satisfaction of patients{\crq} needs that forms an integral part of comprehensive nursing care at the subsequent care ward. A large amount of these immobile patients and continuously increasing requirements for professional qualification of nurses should lead to considerations how to perform as quality and as effective work as possible. The objective of the thesis is to map out the problems of satisfaction of needs of immobile patients at the subsequent care ward of the hospital Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. The theoretical part describes the difference between a hospice and a subsequent care ward, and explains what patients{\crq} needs and the immobilization syndrome mean. The research was undertaken on 190 patients above 15 years of age at the subsequent care ward of Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. The informants were divided into 5 age groups. Immobile patients at the terminal stage of a malign disease were not included in the research. The research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire intended for immobile clients. A pilot study was undertaken to verify comprehensibility of the questionnaire. Consequently, some questions were modified so that they were understandable for the clients. Both the questionnaires are enclosed to the thesis. The research results are provided in charts and put in a chronological order according to the questions in the questionnaire. The research confirmed that the priority in satisfaction of needs of all the clients of the subsequent care ward is the need of pain killing. Relieving oneself in the bed is unpleasant for almost all the immobile clients. Satisfaction of these needs in a correct order helps the clients to adapt to the disease and to the new environment. Satisfaction of other needs is no less important. Contentment of clients reflects in their cooperation with the whole medical team, and last but not least, has an effect on their recovery.
Often hospitalization of children and its affect on his need of safety and sureness
TREPPESCHOVÁ, Adéla
The need is the manifestation of absence, lack of something or infringement of internal balance and influence the individual to the behaviour that should again create the balance. The need of certainty and safety is dominant need especially for small children. It is need to avoid jeopardy and danger and express oneself by the general human tendency to eliminate the anxiety and it is possible to meet the needs by reliable and sure interpersonal relationship. The feel of certainty and safety enables obtaining of confidence, life worth, reliability, independency, orientation in human community as well as in material value. The hospitalization of a child means significant interference with person life. In the hospital a child is separated from the family and its home environment. A child is hamper in movement, lay up and invest with foreign people in foreign environment with different daily routine. We speak about hospitalism when the conditions in hospital or in another institute, where is the child on the long- term basis hospitalize, are so unfavourable that the child is harmed in its development. From the medical point of view has a child hospitalization also positive aspect such as pernament medical supervision and professional care. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out whether an often hospitalized child meet the needs. I have appointed two different hypothesis: The need of certainty and safety is not fulfil in an often hospitalized child (H1). The nurse cooperation with child dependents is minimal during the time of child hospitalization (H2). Any of the above hypothesis where proven. Quantitative research was used for processing of practical part of my bachelor thesis called: ``Often hospitalization of children and its affect on his need of safety and sureness.{\crqq} Controlled interview, observation and questionaire were used as technique of data collection and as a research collection I used patients of children's ward and its dependent from hospital in České Budějovice and Písek. The results shows that during a child hospitalization a child has only a low rate of anxiety from staying in hospital, its environment and medical staff. In the contrary a great number of children are sorrowful in the hospital. They miss both parents and friends, pet or their toys. During the hospitalization more than half of parents is accomodated together with their child. Average period of hospitalization of a child is in about sixty percents cases only one week, in twenty-five percents cases two to four weeks, in ten percents cases five or more than five weeks. Only small percentage of informants did not reply this question. Information about a disease that caused hospitalization of a child was in more than half of the cases supplied by attending physician, in twenty percents cases by parents and less than ten percents of informants did not reply this question. I would like this thesis to serve as a textbook and as an instructive material for both medical staff and parents of hospitalized children.
