Design of Electric Scooter for Urban Mobility

The main aim of this thesis is to design electric scooter, which is ideally adapted for urban mobility and which will be a practical, attractive and environmental friendly alternative to the car with a combustion engine. Emphasis is given to proposal of ergonomic, aesthetic and functional solution of the system, which makes that scooter can be folded into a mobile compact shape. Folded scooter can be carried at public transportation vehicles and park right at home or in the office. The unique design and practical features of a scooter should be attractive not only in terms of personal mobility, but also as a utility vehicle for private companies and public institutions.
Traffic development in Pilsen

This masters thesis deals with the influence of urban mobility on the quality of life in the city. It presents the theoretical assumptions for the implementation of such a transport policy which, in turn is said to lead toward a better quality of life. The aspect of sustainability is also taken into account during this thesis. This study sets out to analyze the urban mobility in all of its forms and provide examples of foreign cities whose transport systems are positively evaluated. A practical session was carried out, which focused on the case of Pilsen, to find the relationship between the urban mobility system and the impact on quality of life through their implemented and planned projects.
Environmental aspects of EU common transport policy

This thesis deals with the environmental aspects of the common transport policy of the European Union. The first chapter outlines the development of the common transport policy from the beginning of the European Community up to the most recent strategy Transport 2050. The second chapter examines some of the environmental measures carried out in line with the common transport policy for particular modes and for urban mobility. The third chapter focuses on selected examples of consequences that the adopted measures have on the automotive industry and on the Czech Republic.
