Indruchová, Sára ; Smělý, Martin (referee) ; Kosňovský, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the modicifation of local roads in the village called Ostrožská Lhota, which is located in the district of Uherské Hradiště. The variants of modification of streets Býčiny, Burešín and Lánka are proposed in the form of study. The subject matter of this work is the transport retification and deceleration on local roads. The main aim of the thesis is the solution of static transport of Býčiny street and the problematic junction of local roads Burešín, Lánka and road III/4954.
Modernization of highway I/11 between Opava and Bruntál
Mitura, Jindřich ; Severin, Zdeněk (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The thesis in form of study discusses the possibilities of modernization of road I/11 in section between Opava and Bruntál. The need of modernization comes from fact that the road I/11 will remain in mid-term and long-term in its actual tracing and it needs to be adjusted to up-to-date requirements on road network. The thesis is based on safety inspection of road I/11 that was carried out by company Enviroad s.r.o. Proposed adjustments are divided into three stages depending on structural, economic and administrative demands. First stage introduces the least difficult adjustments that can be realized in short-term (e.g. chicanes, traffic islands, shortening of pedestrian crossings, adjustments to bus stops) and aims primary to increase road safety. Second stage presents more severe adjustments that requires greater amount of construction works but still reasonable administration level so it can be achieved in mid-term (e.g. intersection realignment, slow traffic lanes). The third stage introduces the most complex adjustments, that involves complicated administrative and construction works (all relocations of greater scale, design is based upon territorial reserves).

Analysis and optimization of cycling transport in Bratislava
Orosz, Michael ; Radimský, Michal (referee) ; Matuszková, Radka (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis analyzes the current situation of bicycle transport in the city of Bratislava, especially with regard to achieving safety and comfort when using a bicycle as a means of transport. The work emphasizes bicycle transport as a driving force for sustainable mobility and a healthy, prosperous society. The analysis shows that quality cycling infrastructure can help the city of Bratislava with growing traffic problems and polluted air. The theoretical part contains information on how to increase the safety of bicycle transport and how to calm urban transport in favor of bicycle transport. The analytical part evaluates the current state, critical points and describes the areas with contra-flow cycling. The practical part optimizes the existing cycling routes with the priority of safely segregating cyclists from the rest of the traffic in accordance with the spatial possibilities.
Antonína Macka Street in Brno
Kubík, Peter ; Pěknica, Martin (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is the reconstruction of Antonína Macka Street in Brno. The street is located in Brno-Královo Pole district. Currently, there is a high embankment in the middle of the street, which was used by local railway. Currently railway connection is removed and therefore the embankment will be modified as part of the reconstruction. The existing Antonína Macka Street is designed as one-way street. To improve local traffic, I designed the street as two-way. There is also an excessively long pedestrian crossing, which will be modified during the reconstruction, for greater pedestrian safety according to the relevant standards. When designing the reconstruction, I focused on increasing the number of parking spaces in the above-mentioned street. An important part of the work was also the connection to the existing roundabout, which connects to Sportovní Street. 3 variants of the solution were considered, from which one was finally chosen for more detailed design.
Černohorská and Řečkovická Streets Intersection in Brno
Seidl, Benjamín ; Kobzová, Hana (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design of a roundabout on site of a current 4 way intersection of urban roads Černohorská, Řečkovická and Příjezdová in Brno-Ivanovice. Roundabout variant was chosen based on the proposed local zoning plan of Brno, which includes a new urban road connection in the existing intersecion area. Creating infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists, which is missing, has taken priority, as well as their safety within the intersection.
Lysice, Osvobození square - Study
Zaikin, Danil ; Rambousek, Martin (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the area of the liberation square in lysice, including adjacent junctions. Based on the measured values obtained from the traffic survey, accident assessment, photodocumentation, 3 variants were proposed, one of which was elaborated in more detail. All three variants solve the problems of a calm intersection between main road ii / 376 and two secondary roads (road iii / 3769 and special road). Various types of parking and parking spaces have been proposed in all variants. Around the liberation square there are many family houses, on the north side there is a restaurant and hotel, in the east there is a post office. For these reasons, the most parking and parking spaces in this area are proposed. Within the project, pedestrian and pedestrian traffic has been dealt with with limited ability to doubt.
Liberec, Ruprechtická x Michelský Vrch
Kaňková, Kateřina ; Belda, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents various redesign scenarios of the intersection of Ruprechticka, Michelsky vrch and U Pramenu streets located in Liberec, Czech Republic. The work presented in this thesis is as answer to the current intersection arrangement that does not meet the requirements of a safe traffic crossroad due to its broad, unorganized spatial arrangement. Three redesign options are developed and proposed based on performed traffic volume counts, vehicular speed monitoring, and previous history of traffic accidents in this intersection. Implemented traffic calming measures include significant changes to the lane arrangement and width in the intersection. It is proposed that the U Pramenu street is converted to one-way street to further reduce the overall traffic volume travelling through the intersection. Moreover, all redesign scenarios and strategies focus on improving safety and comfort of pedestrians and persons with disabilities. Finally, a multiple-criteria decision analysis is carried out and the most viable redesign option is selected.
