The use of marketing in selected retail unit

The theme of bachelor thesis is marketing using in chosen retail unit. The aim of the thesis is marketing using evaluation in chosen retail unit and possible proposal of shortcomings elimination. Basic terms connected with marketing, description of marketing environment and marketing activities are explained in theoretical part. The retail unit, specifically PRIOR ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA, s. r. o. was analysed in practical part. Information was collected through interviews with company top management. The information was evaluated and changes were proposed in conclusion.

Sales promotion in selected retail unit

The aim of the thesis is a research focused on the current forms of sales promotion. The theoretical part is dedicated to the study of theoretical knowledge. There is described a brick-and-mortar store (a typical stone shop), its history, meaning, structure and function. There is described marketing communication communication process and the individual tools such as advertising, sales promotion, personal sale, public relations and direct marketing. Sales promotion includes for example coupons, product samples, cost-effective packing, consumer's competitions, tasting etc. and supports shopping consumer behaviour, especially for a short time. At the same time the practise field research is realized in the local commercial unit BILLA. Through the questionnaire survey, the customers in the retail unit are asked personally. Finally, it is evaluated the research from the point of consumer protection view and the results are assessed.

Analysis of the Buying Conditions at the Klatovy Area

The main aim o the present thesis was to evaluate the shopping conditions in the area of the town Klatovy and to define geografically the selling units in this area plus to suggest the possibilities for improvement. Another aim of this thesis was to give an overall view into the retailing units in this area.

My bachelor thesis is aimed at private labels in a selected retail unit. The main aim of my thesis has been carrying out market research for private labels in a selected retail unit and comparing the results with other retail unit. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains a review of literature in which are explained basic concepts related to the theme of thesis. The second part is practical part. In this part I have done market research. In the end are evaluated the results of the research and was proposed several recommendations to improve the situation.
