Possibilities of inter - confesive education at the Czech school
STÝBLOVÁ, Sára
The thesis deals with the possibilities of interconfessional education in Czech schools. The theoretical part is characterized by an expert treatment of current literary sources on the history and present of ecumenism, interconfessional relations and the possibilities of ecumenical and interconfessional education. The practical part focuses on the verification of these facts with the help of empirical qualitative research. It deals with the question of the perception of religiosity of students of different confessions attending religious schools in the Czech Republic. Specifically, it concerns young people aged from 15 to 17. The content of the practical part is a description of the research methodology, individual statements of respondents, their evaluation and subsequent summary of research results. The results of the research point to differences in the approach of individual schools to interreligious education and training. While at one religious school we find exemplary inclusion of interconfessional education in the curriculum content of religious classes, at the other school we find no signs of interconfessional education at all, which subsequently reflects adversely on individual students' experience of their own religiosity. This is probably due to the general weakening of the influence of religion in society and the consideration of issues of a completely non-religious nature in young people.

The relationship of children from catholic families to faith in middle childhood
GRULICHOVÁ, Eliška
The presented bachelor thesis explores the problematics of children's faith. Specifically, it is focused on the relationship of children from catholic families to faith in middle childhood. The theoretical part sums up capabilities which have been achieved in cognitive, moral, emotional and social development by children. The knowledge are extended by a context of children's religious life. Two last chapters focus on the approach to an exploration of the development of religiosity and to socialization of a faith. The empirical part was looking for an answer to the question: how do the children in middle childhood from catholic families perceive the faith of their family. It was achieved through the qualitative design of a research: the multiple case study. The data were collected up by in-depth semi-structured interviews with children in the age rage between nine and eleven years. Thereafter, they were analyzed by an open coding process. The thesis presents these data by the card unloading technique in comparison within each one category (the social influence to the infantile faith, the children's explanation of some religious rituals, the perception of the religious rules, the experience of the religious faith and the perception of devotional entities - the God, Jesus Christ, Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit). It was found that family is an important part of children's (in the middle childhood) religious life. The children identify themselves as Christians and acknowledge the Christian's rules without conflict. They use the confession and the praying for communication to God and for religious entities and for help against bad feelings and fear too. Children positively perceive religious entities and describe them through anthropomorphic and abstract concepts. It also turned out that children's experience and an explanation of the religion correspond to theories of cognitive, moral and emotional development which are described in the theoretical part.

Affiliation with a denomination, frequency of church service visits, importance of religion in life, demographic and socioeconomic indicators are used as variables. Part of the thesis is devoted to a qualitative researched focused on young believers with academic education. The research deals with their attitude to the Church and opinions on religious teaching, norms and prohibitions. Secularization in Italy in the post-war-era: literature in the social context
Olša, Michal ; Pullmann, Michal (advisor) ; Jiroušek, Bohumil (referee)
EN The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the process of secularization in the post-war era in Italy. The study is focused on lower social classes. The aim of my thesis is to show the complexity of the process such as secularization; on the one hand there are statistic numbers showing the trend of falling religiosity, on the other hand we know Italians as believers in God and Italy as a country with catholic symbols appearing openly in public. To understand this ambivalence, it is necessary to distinguish church, religion and faith. As a primary source for my thesis I have chosen novels of the neorealist writers. As neorealism tries to capture predominantly the social reality and the writers show greater capability of uncovering the motivation of historical figure than any other possible sources, selecting the works of the neorealist writers proves to be more than suitable. The main methodology chosen for my thesis is typification, through which I tried to define the social stereotypes. The thesis is composed of nine chapters. Chapters one to three describe the political, economic and social situation of post-war Italy and define the social segment on which the thesis is focused. Presented is a characterization of neorealism and the authors as well as the most important theories of secularization...
Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools
Hanychová, Alžběta ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Landová, Tabita (referee)
1 Summary Religion in textbooks for the second-grade elementary schools. Recently, there has been an increasing level of discussion about religion in the public space. Nonetheless, uneducated opinions are often being used. In my work, I focused on what kind of information are being passed onto pupils of primary schools, regardless of the interest of particular teacher. In the first part of my thesis, I compare basic curriculum documents (so called Whitepaper and Framework Education Program) and individual educational areas. In second part, I work with specific books of selected subjects (history, civics, ethics) that have been authorized by the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MEYS). I pay particular attention to how frequently, to what extent and in what context do they referrer about religion (including list of reported religions). Afterwards, I evaluate, whether they take evaluated stands, alternatively whether they encourage pupils to be interested in this area and finally whether they develop pupils' ability to look up relevant information on that subject. Keywords Religion, content analysis, textbook, Framework Educational Program, Whitepaper, prejudice, religiosity, Approval Clause, history, ethics, civics, evaluation.
Czech Religiosity Development since the 19th Century in the Light of Sociological Surveys
Trusinová, Alžběta ; Hošek, Pavel (advisor) ; Bargár, Pavol (referee)
This Bachelor thesis examines the characteristic of Czech religiosity based on sociological surveys. It analyses the religiosity since the 19th century to the present day. The first chapter summarizes the approaches and theories about the role of religion in society. The following chapters describe the evolution of the four designated features of Czech religiosity: low trust in religious institutions, low religious self-declaration, low religious activity (assessed by the attendance of worship) and finally unimportant of religion. These features are examined in the nineteenth and twentieth century during the Habsburg monarchy, as well as in the First Republic, during the protectorate, and in the postwar years, during the Communist era and the post-revolution period to the present. The thesis is based mainly on the works of Czech sociologists of religion (Nešpor, Václavík, Hamplová), who analyzed sociological researches and described the Czech religious situation and its development. Czech religiosity and its features are explored since the beginning of the Czech national movement to the 21st century. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
