Evaluating the Need for Truck Centres on the D1 Motorway between Prague and Brno

This diploma thesis deals with a design of truck-centres count and location near the motorway D1. This design is a result of aspects which can influent truck-centres‘ count, size and location. There are derived the aspects on the basis of calculation of freight transport intensity till the year 2030 and its concurrence to accident frequency, traffic flow regulation, and also its concurrence to management of personnel labour (AETR), means of eventual maintenance need and means of vehicles’ reparation, services for motorway attendants and finally its concurrence to possibilities of controls by public authorities and police. In order to regulate freight transport traffic flows is calculated size of parking spaces and suggested their appropriate locations.

House on the Sloping Land

The topic of the bachelor’s thesis is family house on the sloping land. Object is located on the edge of village Domanín and designed for a family of four. The building has irregularly shaped floor plan divided into three tracts, each vertically shifted by half a floor. The middle tract has two stores, side tracts are single-storey. Foundation structures are solved by basis strips made of plain concrete. Vertical constructions are made of brick blocks Heluz. Ceiling construction is designed from ceramic-concrete beams Heluz and Miako inserts. The roof is flat single-cased with stabilizing layer made of washed river stones. Project documentation is processed in computer program Archicad.

Garni hotel below Javorina hill

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a hotel with a restaurant at the base the highest peak of the White Carpathians, Veľká Javorina. The area is located near the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area and the Cetuna Natural Monument. The location has the possibility of using year-long and seasonal activities such as downhill and cross - country skiing or ice skating on frozen ponds, cycling in the new built-up cycle paths, hiking or walking on educational trails, horse riding, swimming in nature or visiting a family mini-zoo with the possibility of personal contact with animals. The potential of the concerned area is still used mainly by domestic, persons with the possibility of accommodation by acquaintances or owners of seasonal cottages and houses due to insufficient short-term accommodation. It was the main imulse for the design of accommodation. A piece of land on the border of the cadastral area of Dolné Bzince and Hrubá Strana of the village of Bzince pod Javorinou was selected for the building construction, due to its satisfactory position, orientation and also for the possibility of its evaluation. The building is designed as a separate-standing object onto an undeveloped territory of the municipality, which was used for agricultural purposes. It's been a long time it lies on ice, decays and its value decreases with expanding overgrown trees. The land is slightly sloping, oriented to southwest. The building has three main entrances and secondary entrances for smooth operation of the hotel. There is a day (leisure) part placed on the 1st floor, also a part for accommodation employees and immobile clients, parts for hotel management, cleaning zone and restaurant. On the 2nd floor there is an accommodation part with 19 rooms and a library. Into basement is a sport and relaxation part, which consist of fitness center and wellness center. Brno, crossroads Rakovecká x Páteřní x Nad Dědinou - study

The theme of this bachelor´s thesis is the elaboration of a study of a modification of the intersections in a district Bystrc of the city Brno because of its unsatisfactory shape and condition. These yield – controlled intersections are in an urban area. The intersection between road no. 384 (Rakovecká street) and a local road (Páteřní street) is a T junction. The intersection between the local roads (Páteřní street and Nad Dědinou street) is crossroad. The modification of the intersections brings about also the modification of a bus stop, a nearby pavement and the private entries. During the reconstruction there could be build new parking spaces.

Revitalization of the Antonín Slavíček housing estate in Svitavy

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is the design and revitalization of the Antonína Slavíčka housing estate in Svitavy. It is mainly a comparison of 3 variants of the solution. Maximization of parking spaces in zone 30, a more suitable solution for parking in zone 30 and a design using a residential zone. The subject is the extension of existing sidewalks and the design of new ones, the reconstruction and creation of new local roads, the reconstruction of the surfaces of existing stands and the proposal to increase the number of new ones, the installation of container stands for mixed and sorted waste.

Detached house with a florist

The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to prepare a project documentation for an execution of a building. This project is focused on a new detached house used as a florist in Domamyslice, Prostějov. It is a single-detached house with one above-ground floor and a residential attic. The building with an intricate ground plan is located on a flat plot, it has no cellar and it is covered with gabble roof and its eastern part ends with hipped roof. The structure of the building consists of large format panels of cross laminated timber by NOVATOP Company. In the above-ground floor there is the main entrance which leads to hall with staircase. The living room with dining room as well as the kitchen and the terrace are accessible from the hall. In the hall there is also a bathroom, a toilet, a technical room, and a laundry. The florist (including a sale area, a kitchen, a toilet and a store room) is also situated in the above-ground floor. A quiet zone in the attic consists of three rooms, a bedroom and a conservatory. The owners can use two bathrooms (toilets included) and a cloakroom. A parking space for the customers is made on a hard surface in front of the entrance to the florist and the one for the owners is designed with a roof.

Family house

The content of my bachelor thesis is the design and building solution for new family house in a newly emerging housing locality in the village of Herink on lot No. 290/20. Family house has one underground floor, two above-ground floors and a saddle roof. The house is designed as one unit for a four-member family with two parking spaces. One undercover parking space is provided in the garage, the other uncovered at the driveway. The object has been designed from POROTHERM vertical construction system. Horizontal constructions are made of POT beams and MIAKO ceramic inserts.

Svitavy Town Square - Reconstruction Design

The subject of bachelor's thesis is the design of hard surfaces in the square in Svitavy (region of Pardubice). The proposal is to increase and improve the usability of cultural and civic public space. This will be achieved by changing the architextural arrangment of the reorganization of transport, which involves the partial diversion and relocation od parking spaces.

This bachelor thesis deals with the modicifation of local roads in the village called Ostrožská Lhota, which is located in the district of Uherské Hradiště. The variants of modification of streets Býčiny, Burešín and Lánka are proposed in the form of study. The subject matter of this work is the transport retification and deceleration on local roads. The main aim of the thesis is the solution of static transport of Býčiny street and the problematic junction of local roads Burešín, Lánka and road III/4954.
