Chov plemene suffolk v horských oblastech
KOŘÁN, Matěj
The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine the effect of altitude on reproductive and productive indicators of the breed Suffolk. Two farms were compared with different altitude from the year 2016 to 2020. In those years, reproductive indicators were analysed - average fertility, breeding, fertilisation, birth weight. The effect of different altitude was found in all of those indicators. When it comes to fertility indicators, the following were analysed - weight, the height of the subcutaneous fat and the muscle at 100 days, and the average daily growth. The highest statistically significant difference was found in 2019, specifically in the subcutaneous fat height at 100 days.
The Rate the level of sheep breeding and its economic potential on family farm.
JINDRÁK, Miloslav
The task of my dissertation was to rate the level of sheep breeding and its economic potential. The monitoring and the evaluation of indicators were performed at the farm of Miloslav Jindrak. The collection of enter data proceeded from 2005 to 2008. The needed data was taken from the personal evidence of the sheep farmer. This data was compared with the data of the inspection of efficiency, which is run by the Federation of sheep and goat breeding in the Czech Republic. The dissertation monitors and evaluates reproductive, productive and economic indicators of the monitored sheep herd.
Development of vascular substitues for low flow peripheral vascular reconstructions
Mitáš, Petr ; Špaček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štádler, Petr (referee) ; Rohn, Vilém (referee)
The development of vascular replacement for low flow rates is a topical issue. The model for developing the development of replacement properties, which are based on the idea of assuming the characteristics of the biological model - vena saphena and programming these properties into a model of constructed replacement is one of the possible directions of development. The presented replacement, which is the result of the work of the author's team, consists of three parts - a non-absorbable scaffold representing the media, and two absorbable collagen layers - pseudointima and pseudoadventice. Target parameters of the prosthesis were determined by test results of the basic physical testing method - uniaxial tensile test and inflation-extension test, as well as other procedures in human saphenous specimens. The key issue is the technology of producing the collagen layer of the prosthesis. However, other manufacturing processes can also have a significant impact on vascular prosthesis properties, such as collagen hardening, antithrombogenic treatment of the inner surface of the vascular replacement, and the use of a sterilization method. Furthermore, the author deals with the development of a new female component of the three- layer vascular prosthesis of the Czech carp, which is characterized by lower...
Pastoralism in the East Tatras national parks. Cultural and ecological context in present
Bohušová, Ivana ; Matoušek, Václav (advisor) ; Ložek, Vojen (referee)
Shepherd's expansion into the Eastern Tatras valleys started latest in the 14th century. The peak of the pastoralism was Walachian colonization in the 16th century. Shephards usually used to drive out their herd (to pasture) to an altitude over 2000 meters above the sea level. The damage caused by grazing has grown to such proportions that pasturage was prohibited in some areas. After the establishment of the Tatra National Park the pastoralism in the High Tatras and Belianske Tatras in Slovakia was completely banned. In Poland shepherding was recovered in the form of cultural pasture, which is being regulated under strict conditions to prevent damage to the environment, after about 30 years long pause in the territory of Tatrzański Park Narodowy. The main objective of my thesis is to find out whether it would be possible to bring back the grazing to the territory of the Tatra National Park. If yes, then under what specific conditions, with what advantages or disadvantages, in its comprehensive perspective, not only natural but also socio-cultural. I took inspiration from the cultural pasture in Poland, and I was interested in the negatives of regulated grazing as well. I made my research in the form of semi-structured interviews with experts and with general public. The results of the empirical...
The Shepherd as the Anthropomorphism for God
Pospíšilová, Petra ; Vymětalová Hrabáková, Eva (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis "The Shepherd as the Anthropomorphism of God" is to clarify the role of the shepherd in antiquity and today and to present this knowledge in the use of the shepherd's anthropomorphism in biblical texts by means of literary research and comparison of texts, exegesis and reflection of own experience. In the introductory chapters we focus on the person of the shepherd, his characteristics, where special attention is paid to the shepherd's staff, as it also has an abundant biblical metaphorical use. The role of the shepherd in antiquity, in biblical texts and today is also discussed. Attention is also paid to the metaphor of the shepherd in ancient mythology, the use of this metaphor in various religious cults and its content. From a similar point of view, grazing animals are viewed, especially sheep, and special attention is paid to the role of the lamb in biblical texts. But we also talk about pigs and goats as pastoral animals. The following chapters first deal with anthropomorphisms in general, followed by chapters from specific biblical books where anthropomorphism is used. The texts are divided according to their inclusion in the Bible - first, Tanach texts are discussed, where the most common occurrence of anthropomorphisms is in the prophetic books. The next...
Endoparazitózy ovcí na konvenčních farmách a biofarmách
Vomáčková, Karolína
The aim of this thesis is to assess the difference in prevalence of endoparasites in sheep bred on conventional farms and on organic farms. The theoretic part consists of a literary research on the basis of both domestic and foreign literature dealing with the problem of endoparasitic nematodes, tapeworms and coccidia in sheep. According to this research it is possible to identify seven perilous species of coccidia, fourteen species of intestinal nematodes, two species of lung nematodes, two species of tapeworms and two species of trematodes in the Czech Republic. The practical observations were carried out using nondestructive coprological techniques throughout the year 2016. Four species of coccidia (Eimeria bakuensis, Eimeria ovinoidalis, Eimeria parva, Eimeria crandalis), seven species of intestinal nematodes (Haemonchus concortus, Trychostrongylus spp.axei, Nematodirus spp., Cooperia curticei, Bunostomum trigonocephalum, Chaberia ovina, Oesophagostomum venulosum), one species of lung nematodes (Protostrongylus rufescens) and one species of tapeworms (Moniezia expansa) have been identified during the analysis. The prevalence of parasites and intensity of infection differed according to the type of farming, type of sheep care (incl. deworming) and also time of year. In total the organic farming has been assessed the healthier farming type. The practical outcome therefore is a recommendation for conventional farms to pay more attention to the sheep care with respect to the life cycles of the parasites.
Zhodnocení vlivu stanovištních podmínek na obsah organických živin v pastevních porostech
Chovanová, Ivana
The thesis is focused on the issue of the nutritional value of pasture growth with an emphasis on the content of energy and organic nutrients that grows in the Mohelenská Serpentine Steppe National Nature Reserve. It deals with factors that influece the nutritional value of pasture growth, especially in relation to the habitat conditions, botanical composition and optimal phase of their use. Increased space is devoted to how nutrition factors, with emphasis on the content of energy and organic nutrients in growth can influence the behaviour of sheep in the pasture. In Mohelenská Serpentine Steppe National Nature Reserve an ethological observation of the herd of sheep was carried out. Plant samples had been taken from the pasture areas to determine the yield and their nutritional value. The height of the growth was measured also. Results were precessed into etograms, tables, charts and maps.
Analýza etologického pozorování vybrané skupiny ovcí
Heincová, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis contains basic knowledge of the history of ethology, focusing on the distribution of ethology, behavioral research methods, basics of behavioral reseach methology and especially the basics of sheep ethology, their life on the pasture. The aim of this study was to observe natural behavior of sheep. Observations of five sheep conducted in the intervals 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Then the values were averaged and inserted into graphs. We investigated these behaviors: food income, the rest, the movement, drinking, rumination in lying down, rumanition in standing up, sexual behavior. It was found that most sheep took food in the morning, from 7 to 10 a.m. then between noon and 5 p.m. except 3 p.m. where either they were ruminated or rested.
Aspekty formování komoditní vertikály ovce
Goliášová, Renata
The diploma thesis is focused on identification of factors influencing commodity vertical of sheep. This vertical is compared with similar commodity of goat. The thesis classifies the development of this commodity on the market in Czech republic and compares it with the development in the market of EU member states. The study evaluates the development of sheep quantity status. The supply and demand side of the market as well as the proportional changes related to the foreign trade of the Czech Republic with this commodity are also examined. On the basis of the data determined by the market analysis, this commodity is evaluated. On the basis of the results obtained, it can be stated that the sheep commodity is only a marginal commodity in the Czech Republic and within the EU belongs the Czech Republic among the states with the smallest sheep population.
