Evaluation of the Economy of the Selected Public Corporation

Focus of this bachelor thesis is on financial and economic efficiency of city Vyškov during years 2012 to 2016. Firstly, theoretical analysis states fundamental concepts concerning the local council. Secondly, the analytical section offers description of the city, analysis of approved and actual budgets and historical development of income, expenses and other key metrics. Lastly, based on the latter section, a set of policies that result in an increase of financial and economic efficiency as well as development of services offered to the public, are presented.

Vyhodnocení způsobu hospodaření majetkem městské části Brno-Královo Pole

The aim of the task is to analyze the method of how Královo Pole, a part of Brno, treat the property. The purpose of this project is also to give a recommendation how to increase the effectivity. For this reason the present phase of the property and development would be analyzed. The important elements of analysis would be also the budget of general activity and the financial plan of another activities which would help to understand the economy situation this accounting unit. Results will be presented from two views, economic and juridical.

Municipal self-government with focus on the position of the bodies

The thesis called Municipal self-government with focus on the position of the bodies describes municipal self-government in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic. The purpose of the thesis is to analyse municipal self-government, to characterize municipal bodies and their mutual relations, to assess and compare the legislation in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic and finally to notify of problematic issues, analyse them and suggest possible ways how to solve them. The thesis is composed of nine chapters, which are divided into subchapters (except for the second chapter). Throughout the introduction the thesis deals with terms related to this topic, further basic models of municipal arrangement in Europe are concisely characterized from the perspective of the Czech jurisprudence and foreign literature. Subsequently historical development of munucipal self-government is described. The most important legal documents and their importance are emphasized. Subsequently municipality, its basic characters with emphasis on the separate autority of municipality and the delegated authority of municipality are defined. The bachelor’s thesis is devote to explaining keynotes of the economy of the municipality Domašov nad Bystřicí. It deals with the evalution of the economy of the town during period 2011-2015. The first part contains theoretical findings of the given subject. It clarifies the work of the public municipal units, describes the composing public budgets and defines incomes and outgoings. The analytic part evaluates the economy of the municipality in the years 2011 – 2015 with the aid of analyses. In the last part I occupy myself with suggestions for improvement the economy of the municipality.

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the economy of the Municipality of Kunžak between 2011 and 2015. The theoretical part gives an overview of the basic concepts involved, while the analytical part first introduces the municipality and then analyses its revenues and expenditures. An SWOT analysis was performed as well. Based on the obtained data, the thesis proceeds to suggest measures to improve the municipality’s economy in the future.

The Development of Local Government in the Municipality of Podlesí

The thesis deals with the development of local government in the village of Podlesí. The village of Podlesí is situated in the Central Region, approximately two kilometers from the town of Pribram. On December 31, 2015, it had a population of 1 097 inhabitants. The main objektive of this study was to identify factors that influence the character of the local political process in the village of Podlesí. This is a case study that shows the development of the local political process here from 1990 to 2014. Working initially in the theory explains the concepts related to public administration, local authorities, the function of elections and electoral systems, municipal electoral systém and the local political process. The practical part describes the village of Podlesí. This description includes Podlesí´s history, its development of demographic characteristics and social amenities. After that an individual comparison of individual results of municipal elections from 1990 to 2014, personal interviews with local political figures and defined the character of local political processes in the village of Podlesí.

The analysis of economy in the selected cities in the territorial scope of authority of MAS in the Šluknov Region

The aim of the thesis is to find out whether there is a possibility to get other additional sources for the municipalities based on the management comparison of the chosen towns and on the management analysis of local action group. The work focuses on budgetary income and expenditure of the municipality and the budget management. The first part explains the theoretical concepts related to budget, budget management of municipalities, the debt of municipalities and local action groups. The second practical part deals with the analysis of the development and the structure of selected budget sections of the towns Jirikov, Krasna Lipa and Sluknov. It also analyses the development of the budget management of MAS Sluknov Region and the analysis of projects supported by MAS Sluknov Region, pointing out the possibility of using a local action group for municipalities. The evaluation of management of the municipality and the local action group will use absolute and percentage ratios in a time line of five years. As a conclusion I set proposals and recommendations on the basis of the analysis.

Economic analysis of selected village or city

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate economy of municipality Zdislavice in period 2009 until 2014, subsequent appraisal and proposal for improvement of economy in the years to come. The village Zdislavice is situated in Central Bohemian Region close to town Vlašim, approximately 70 km from capital city Prague.
The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there are described basic terms about the municipality by means of literary research. There are depicted administrative bodies of municipality, municipal budget, structure of incomes and outlays of the municipality.
Practical part is concentrated on detailed analysis of municipal economy in selected period. There are researched individual types of incomes and outlays of the municipality and their progress. Practical part involves the use of some selected indicators of municipal management. In conclusion, the analysis results are used to design proposals for improving the economy in future years.
In the period 2012 until 2014 the municipality Zdislavice managed the budget deficit, which was mainly due to large investments in fixed assets of the municipality. However, during the reporting period it was expedient management of the municipality.

Analysis of economy selected towns or villages

Diploma thesis "Analysis of economy selected towns or villages", deals with the analysis of incomes and expenses in municipalities of Řimovice and Trhový Štěpánov in the years 2009 - 2014. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical part.
Theoretical part of the thesis is based on the study of technical literature and concentrates on the explanation of basic terms related to municipality management and operation and on the brief characteristic of selected municipalities.
The practical part deals with the analysis of municipal management, which is based on the gained underlying data. For the evaluation of municipality management, financial ratios, time series and the self-sufficiency rate is used. Also, the practical part includes a questionnaire survey carried out in municipality of Řimovice, which serves to find out the satisfaction with the municipality management among inhabitants.
The results of analyses, selected indicators and the questionnaire survey in the municipality of Řimovice show following conclusions: Both municipalities faced with the deficit budget in the monitored period, caused mainly by investment activities. Deficits were settled mostly through the approved loans. The municipality of Trhový Štěpánov uses more the available grants for its funding than the municipality of Řimovice, which was also one of the things that the inhabitants of Řimovice were not satisfied with in the questionnaire survey. However, the management of both municipalities can be considered stable.

Analysis of economy selected village or town

This bachelor thesis deals with an evaluation of the management of the municipality of Sedliště 2012 - 2014.
The work includes a theoretical and a practical part and a draft of a solution.
The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of terms related to the topic. The second part contains an analysis and classification of income and expenditure. The practical part is completed by a monitoring of municipal management according to the Ministry of Finance and of the draft budget for 2015. The final part discusses questionnaire survey oriented on satisfaction with the management of the municipality of Sedliště and a suggestion for using surplus budgets as an investment that will lead to the development of the municipality.
