Optimization of transportation routes between a Chosen Company and their suppliers and customers
Habancová, Andrea ; Kučera, Petr (advisor) ; Křečková, Jana (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to determinate the suitable distributions routes for the SIASTEP,Ltd. by using two methods - The Vogel´s approximation Method and The Nearest neighbour Method. This Bachelor thesis has two parts. The first part includes the explanation of technical terms and problems about logistics, logistics systems, chains, distributions problems and methods of their solution. This part of bachelor thesis describes methods used in the second part - Vogel´s approximation Method and The nearest neighbour Method. The second part is practical. Objective for practical part was to found suitable tour regularly used by SIASTEP, Ltd., company by using selected methods from the theoretical part. Author of the bachelor thesis received two routes with their distances from the company. One of them takes place between Krupka city and cities in Germany. The second one takes place only on the territory of the Czech Republic. Then author of the bachelor thesis applied The nearest neighbour Method and The Vogel´s approximation Method. At the conclusion of this bachelor thesis are evaluated the obtained results.
Design and implementation of vehicle routing problem software library
Drobný, Michal ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Melechovský, Jan (referee)
Various types of transportation issues are a common practice. The issue may be approached mainly as the distribution of products from suppliers to consumers while minimising distribution costs. The difference of real transportation issues predominantly relates to the considered restrictions, such as capacities of vehicles and orders, time windows and other special distribution restrictions. There are some specialized commercial products for optimizing distribution costs presented on the market. These are often part of larger frameworks, which also provides other services such as vehicle tracking, warehouse location, ride statements etc. These products provide cloud services fully customized according to the customer. This work aims to design and construct an open source software library for solving vehicle routing problem, which will be able to reflect requirements of simplicity, scalability and portability. The constructed library can serve not only as an open source solution for vehicle routing problems, but also as a tool for testing new methods studied on university premises. The work is divided into several parts. In the first part we define the goals of this work, we define the vehicle routing problem and we describe the principles of the solution. In the next section, we propose the structure of the software, we discuss the choice of aids and document a design phase. The last part deals with the implementation phase, validation phase and real use of the software.
Optimalizace přepravních tras mezi distribučními depy a dalšími distribučními místy České pošty, s.p.
Janoušková, Eliška
JANOUŠKOVÁ, E. Optimization of transportation routes between distribution depots and other distribution points of Česká pošta, s.p. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2014. This diploma thesis deals with the solution of transportation system of mail pieces between distribution depot Břeclav and other distribution points of Česká pošta, s.p. within the circuit Břeclav. There is a solution of multiple travelling salesman problem. The aim of the thesis is to design optimal transportation routes between distribution points of Česká pošta, s.p using methods of linear programming and optimization software LINGO. The results are in the end compared with the origi-nal solution.
The Solving of Distribution Problems in MS Excel / LINGO
Bisová, Sára ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The goal of this work is to explain the topic of distribution problems, special kind of linear programming problems, and also to show possibilities for solving them in some programming systems. For solving several types of distribution problems - transportation problem, container transportation problem, assignment problem, allocation problem and travelling salesman problem - I have created an application which connects MS Excel with programming language LINGO. This connection is realized by means of VBA - Visual Basic for Applications. There are described the main procedures and functions of LINGO and VBA including minute description of interconnection of these systems. Created application is illustrated on several small problems in the last part of work.
