Horn antenna with suppressed side-lobe radiation
Kaděra, Petr ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
This master´s thesis is focused on the ways of possible realisation of the directive horn antenna with suppressed side lobes in the frequency bands 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz. In this thesis a detailed research of the feasible options including parameters comparison and assessment of pros and cons of the particular solutions has been performed. Among the specified technical requirements, the emphasis has been placed on the manufacturing options and low cost availability of the materials applicable for the given antenna. The main part of the thesis deals with the conical horn antenna loaded with a hyperbolic dielectric lens, further the antenna with flat dielectric lens based on a transmitarray and also the integrated elliptical lens antenna. The following part of the thesis deals with the possibilities of characterizing the properties of the dielectric material of the lens.
Modeling of Signal Propagation in Wireless LTE and WiFi Networks in Indoor Deployment
Olbert, Jaroslav ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
Masters thessis deals with the problematics of wireless signal propagation modeling inside buildings. The theoretical part of this thessis describes principles and methods of electromagnetic waves spreading in open areas and in indoor deployment. There are also described methods used for calculating the path of signal propagation ray-launching and ray-tracing. This part also includes description of an algorithm and equations used for simulating 5GHz WiFi signal propagation inside the Department of telecommunications corridors. Second part of this thessis includes a description of a NS-3 module mmWave, which was used for simulations of IEEE 802.11ad (WiGig) standard. There are also results of these simulations and their detailed description. At the end of this thessis comparison of these results with values gained by real environment measurements can be found.
Transmission measurements in an automobile millimeter wave
Potočňak, Martin ; Blumenstein, Jiří (referee) ; Kotol, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is design how to grip and change position of transmitting antenna in vehicle and measurements of signal changes due to different parameters, such as people in vehicle, position of seats and range between antennas. Transmitting and received antenna is design as open-ended waveguide. Signal transmission is measured by vector network analyzer ZVA 67 from Rhode&Schwarz.
Modeling of microwave structures based on SIIG
Teplý, Tomáš ; Horák, Jiří (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
Well-known dielectric image guide reach in millimeter-wave interesting results. Compared to a conventional types of lines and waveguides is characterised by low-through loss for frequencies approaching 100 GHz. This work is detail focused to basic characteristics and especially type of perforate highpermitivity substrate for obtain implemented waveguide to dielectric board (SIIG). The work also contains couple suggestions for various transitions from a commonly used lines and waveguides. Simulation results using finite element method is achieved attenuation values below 2 dB, which corresponds to a 2 cm length and include a waveguide itself with a pair of transitions. Finally, this work also designed the production method and SIIG applicatoin in practicle.
