Aerosol in indoor microenviroment of homes
Pařík, Radim ; Braniš, Martin (advisor) ; Hovorka, Jan (referee)
This literature review is composed of resources from Web of Science. The study deals with problematics of the indoor air pollution of homes. It is focused on the aerosol, especially PM2,5 particles, which present the biggest danger for human health. This work points out the analysis of indoor and outdoor emission sources, distribution of particles, levels of pollution in the different geografical, social and cultural regions and health effects of these particles. Key words: aerosol, homes, indoor environment, air quality, fine particles
Concentrations of indoor submicrometer and supermicrometer particulate matter in a primary school in Prague
Štolcpartová, Jitka ; Braniš, Martin (advisor) ; Hovorka, Jan (referee)
Children are a susceptible group to environment pollution. The environment, in which they spend the most time, is the home, the second is the school. Therefore, the indoor environment of a school affects their health, wellbeing and even school results. The present work investigated concentrations of air pollutant, aerosol particles, in the specialized classrooms (computer lab, arts and biology/chemistry) in an elementary school, Prague. Direct reading instruments measuring mass concentration of four aerosol fractions and number concentration of submicrometer particles were used for measurement. Measurements were carried out for four weekdays in each month from November 2011 to July 2012. It was found that mass concentrations of submicrometer particles were dependent on outdoor concentrations, in contrast to supermicrometer particles which were affected mainly by physical activities of students and outdoor concentration had a minimal effect. Increased number concentrations of submicrometer particles were observed only during children presence, concentrations were probably induced by student activities during lessons. Seasons also influenced mass concentrations, when the highest indoor and outdoor concentrations were recorded in a spring/autumn season. Classroom location affected submicrometer...
Ammonia and Ammonium Nitrate in Archives
Mašková, Ludmila ; Smolík, Jiří ; Ďurovič, M. ; Součková, M.
Ammonia in libraries and archives can damage stored materials such as pigments and metals (Grzywacz, 2006) and mediate microbial decomposition (Petushkova and Lyalikova, 1986). The aim of this study was to investigate concentrations and sources of ammonia in the indoor air of five different types of archives, and to establish the relationship between the indoor and outdoor environments.

Measurements of selected parameters of the building services systems and indoor environment of buildings
Malach, Tomáš ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
In the first part, the bachelor thesis deals with indoor environment of buildings, solar irradiance and thermography. The measuring device for measuring the energy flows of the building, climatic data and microclimate variables are presented in this part. In the next part, I mention the principles for the measurement thermal imaging camera and I evaluate thermal images. I specify measurement of the hygrothermal microclimate, carbon dioxide concentration and climate data for power engineering. Analysis of measurement of the selected parameters is performed simultaneously and their graphical processing. In the last part, I apply measurement on the real objects, I analyzes the measured data (air temperature, relative humidity and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the room) and I perform their evaluation. At the end, I evaluate the outdoor air temperature and theirs effect for design heating and cooling systems.
Control System of Building using Modelling and Simulation

Air Quality in Different Types of Archives
Mašková, Ludmila ; Smolík, Jiří ; Ondráček, Jakub
Particulate matter (PM) and gaseous pollutants in libraries and archives can be harmful for materials stored there. The study includes indoor/outdoor monitoring of air quality in 4 archives, which representing different outdoor environments: Zlatá Koruna (rural), Třeboň (small city), Teplice (industrial area), and Prague (large city with traffic). The aim of this study is to investigate concentrations and sources of airborne PM and gaseous pollutants in the indoor environment of the archives, and to establish the relationship between the indoor and outdoor environment. The results indicated outdoor air as the most probable source of particles in the indoor environment of naturally ventilated archives at Zlatá Koruna, Třeboň and Teplice. The concentrations in the indoor environment in Prague are relatively constant and low, because the archive is equipped with a sophisticated filtration systém.

Air Quality in the Indoor Environment of Libraries and Archives
Mašková, Ludmila ; Smolík, Jiří
The aim of this study is to investigate concentrations and sources of airborne PM and gaseous pollutants in the indoor environment of the archives, and to establish the relationship between the indoor and outdoor environment. In 2012 the measurements take place at Zlatá Koruna and Třeboň and in 2013 at Osek and Prague. The results indicated outdoor air as the most probable source of particles in the indoor environment of archives at Zlatá Koruna and Třeboň. The penetration of particles at Třeboň was higher than at Zlatá Koruna. These results were confirmed by measurements of ventilation rate, which was at Třeboň almost ten times higher than at Zlatá Koruna.
