A taxonomic revision of the genus Callitriche in the Czech Republic

Callitriche (water-starwort) belongs among difficult and insufficiently known genera of the Czech flora. The presented work provides the first critical taxonomic revision of the genus in the Czech Republic, with information relevant also to the broader region of Central Europe. Morphological and cytometric investigation resulted in identification of six Callitriche species in the Czech Republic. The genome size of all six Czech representatives of the genus was estimated using flow cytometry. The hybrid C. × vigens Martinsson (C. cophocarpa × C. platycarpa) was found for the first time in the Czech Republic. An individual related to C. hamulata was found in the Tichá Orlice river, which has aberrant genome size and aborted flowers; further study of this taxon is necessary. Multivariate morphometric analyses of fruits and cultivation were used to check and define reliable distinctive features and an impact of phenotypic plasticity. Key to the identification of species (including the first key for sterile plants), its detailed descriptions and ecological demands were provided. Each species differ significantly from the others in genome size, morphological features as well as in ecology. Virtual Herbarium with e-Learning Features

This thesis is concerned with analysis, design and implementation web information system for management of virtual digital herbarium for high or middle schools. Online available services can not provide any alternative where students can cooperate with teachers in creating own virtual digital herbarium. This service provides a platform for creating own collection of pictures of plants with stress on their categorization to the taxonomy, detailed description, checking plagiarism and communication between students and teachers.

Floristic and phytosociological survey of the flora northern part CHKO Blansky les

This paper, deals with the status of the flora around the village Dobčice, which is located in the northern part of the Protected Landscape Area Blanský les. The area of interest covers an area of 12.6 hectares and includes two nature reserves: NR Chřášťanský vrch and NR Vysoká Běta. In the teritory are located eleven types of terestrial biotopes, for which was created 35 phytosociological relevés, including their photographs and localization. Further fieldwork that was carried out in the theritory was floristic survey. In the monitored area was found total of 264 species of plants and mosses. Six of these species is classified in the 3rd edition of the Red List of vascular plants of the Czech Republic. For each of the found species was created an entry in the herbarium.
