Analysis of a Selected Company Using Time Series

Bachelor's thesis analyses the company Elektrizace železnic Praha a. s. from 2001 to 2009. Analysis of the company is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the analysis of the economic indicators. The second part focuses on the analysis of the selected information in the sequence by using statistical methods. This section also contains the foreseeable development of the company in the years 2010 and 2011. The work contains proposals for improving the financial situation of the company.

The dissertation deals with the Evaluation of Transport Company´s Financial Health from the Perspective of Accounts in Area of Transportation. The public transport ranks among the industries demanding major public financial resources. The submitted dissertation analyses the financial health evaluation of a company in public transportation, specifically the public line transport and the municipal bus transport in terms of accounting. The aim of the dissertation is to discuss and design a calculation of the provable compensatory amount in financing the public line transport and municipal bus transport pursuant to Government Decree No. 493/2004 Sb. and Regulation No. 296/2010 Sb. and the methods of reimbursement of subsidies in regional transport. The provable loss (compensatory amount) expresses the "subsidy" which the transport company providing the basic transport services is entitled to. The analysis of this topic explains the financial deviations which may occur in the course of a transport year upon establishing the underlying and real financial models, i.e. on the basis of the structure of economically substantiated costs and revenues. The underlying financial model expects the estimated amounts of cost and revenue items and the reality reflects the methods established in the internal guideline of the transport company. The outcome of the dissertation may be used as a comprehensive picture of the issue and, last but not least, as a possible recommending and control element in the transport company financing. This is related to the classification of cost and revenue items affecting the amount of the subsidy and to the design of effective classification in individual groups of economically substantiated costs on the basis of their explanatory power. The dissertation includes the regression equation which is used both as an indicative preview for calculating the average minimum amount of compensation of the existing transport companies and for the purpose of determining the expected compensation in the framework of the future selection procedure in public line transport and the municipal bus transport. The dissertation also offers a brief methodology that identifies the anticipated operating costs from ensuring transport services, assigning them to the appropriate groups of economically substantiated costs.

The Impact of the Crisis on the Financial Health of the Company - Case Study for Hartmann - Rico, a.s.

The bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of financial health of company HARTMANN – RICO a.s. in years 2008–2011 and 2017–2020, in which the Czech market was influenced by the economic crisis in the first period and the corona crisis in the second period. The evaluation is performed on the basis of the methods of financial analysis, whose selected indicators are described in the theoretical part and subsequently applied in the practical part. The findings are used in the last part to determine their own solutions to problematic parts of the company.

Kubová, D. Investing into mutual funds by a company. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. This work is focused on the analysis of actively and passively managed mutual funds. The aim is to create a recommendation for the investor – company, about which type of portfolio management is more beneficial. The main evaluation criterion is the return and risk ratio of a certain time period on the selected instances of mutual funds types. The results will be used for determining which management type should the company choose. However, before the company realizes an investment of any type, it should have a stable position in the market, and have enough extra funds. For reinsurance that all of these conditions are fulfilled, financial analysis of the company´s investment potential will be done.

Doležalová, D. Assessment of the financial situation of company named Zebra Technologies CZ s.r.o. by using financial analysis methods. Bachelor thesis. Brno, 2019. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess the financial situation of Zebra Technologies CZ s.r.o. in 2008-2017 by using methods of financial analysis and subsequent recommendation of effective solutions in order to improve the company´s performance. In the first part, the theoretical knowledge is elaborated with reference to suitable literature and by using this knowledge in the second part of this bachelor thesis was practically processed on the basis of actual data during the monitored period. The objective was also to compare the selected indicators with the average values in the sector. At the end, we are suggesting potentional solutions for improving financial health of the company.

This bachelor thesis analyses financial situation of company Svoboda výroba domácích knedlíků s.r.o., which produces food products. Thesis is divided to two parts: theoretical and practical. Theoretical part explains basic concepts and methods of economical effectiveness measuring, mainly financial analysis. Practical part analyses financial statements of company Svoboda výroba domácích knedlíků. This analysis includes also decomposition of return on equity and chosen models which predicts financial problems. Those methods are mentioned in theoretical part. This part also includes evaluation of impact of company on the region.

The main task of my bachelor thesis, which is "financial analysis of selected company "is to assess the financial condition of company Steeltec.cz ,Ltd. Company is major manufacturer of garden suppliers for company called Gardena. The first part is theoretical and it's primary focused on concepts of financial analysis, in the second part are descriptions of methods that are consecutively used in practical part that follows. Regarding practical part, it's dedicated to examine selected company by the methods mentioned in theoretical part. At the end is the summery and evaluation of financial health as well as recommendations for future well-being of the company.
