Design and Realization of Mobile Photovoltaic Power Station
Lednický, Ján ; Morávek, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis entitled Design and realization of a mobile photovoltaic power plant is dividet into two parts. In the first, theoretical part one can learn about the state of representation of renewable energy sources in the field of electrical power engineering and about the structure of photovoltaic power station systems. The secont part of this thesis is focused on the own design and realization of the mobile photovoltaic power plant, on the selection of individual suitable components and ther dimensioning. In addition, a model of a mobile power plant has been created, on the basis of which the power plant was constructed. Finally, one can find a source code analysis of a power plant monitoring using a microcontroler
Implementation of the Smart Metering Systems in Energetics in Slovakia
Petreová, Adela ; Machek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tyll, Ladislav (referee)
The goal of the Master´s thesis is to map the actual situation of transformation of power energy sector to smart grid, find answers to some of the major questions concerning the implementation of smart metering systems, evaluate societal and economic costs and benefits, evaluate trends in legislation, compare the situation in Slovakia with other peer countries from the European Union, and create a follow-up recommendations for Slovakia based on this assessment. The thesis includes detailed critical analysis of the CBA, originally created for Slovakia, using benchmarking with countries with a different calculation approach. The used methodology in this work is a research of available resources, qualitative research of case studies, break-down of the CBA, and expert research through interviewing. The outcome is evaluation of economic and societal contributions of smart metering systems and mapping the process and state of the implementation.
Load model
Lašo, Matej ; Ptáček, Michal (referee) ; Kopička, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with power quality and load modeling. The issues of power quality, principles of load model creation and various types of loads and their principles are described and explained in this thesis. Various software and its main adventages in power systems modeling are described and various load models and simulations in PSCAD program are created and described at last.
Computer aided calculations for energetics and new trends in simulations
Horáček, Tomáš ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
Computer aided calculations are booming nowadays and thanks to more powerfull computers and sofistikated simulators we are able to modelling more and more complex problems in much more engineering domains. Also in power engineering are are simulators used more frequntly. They are used for or checking transmission lines and in testing different kinds of working states including fails.
Possible impacts of terrorist atack for economics
Babouček, Petr Ing. ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
The Course of the Privatization Process in the Energy Sector in the Czech Republic between the years 1990 and 2011
Večerníková, Markéta ; Zeman, Karel (advisor) ; Křítková, Soňa (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the course of the privatization process in the energy sector in the Czech Republic between the years 1990 and 2011. The analysis starts with a description of the energy sector before 1989 and continues with the privatization process and important changes concerning the property rights in the energy sector up to the present day. The changes regarding the property rights in the energy sector are the subject of interest and discussion not only among economic experts and politicians, but also among all citizens who purchase electricity. In the theoretical part of this thesis all necessary terms and definitions related to the subject of Czech transformation and the energy sector are explained. The process of the transformation of the Czech economy is analysed, with the emphasis put on the changes of property rights. In the empirical part of this thesis an analysis of important steps in the privatization process of the energy sector between the years 1989 and 2011 is carried out.
Specific Problems Concerning Regulation of Network Industries
Lebedová, Daniela ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Horák, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the results of liberalization and deregulation of the electricity sector in the European Union with a special focus on creating the internal electricity market. The first part focuses on EU energy policy. The aim is to present the wide range of policies and measures that influence the development of the internal electricity market. High attention is given to legislative measures and their proper implementation by the Member States. The following section deals with the process of liberalization and deregulation with regard to specific economic structure of the sector. The adopted measures are framed in the context of the specific economic characteristics of the electricity market, which relate to the existence of the so-called natural monopoly. The third part is devoted to regulation, regulators and their responsibilities in the internal electricity market. It focuses on their powers, methodology and cooperation within the EU. In the fourth part the regression model was developed that assesses the impact of specific variables characterizing the changes occurring in this sector on the price of electricity in Germany, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland and Hungary.
Public Utilities in the EU: Evaluation of Electricity Industry Regulation in the Czech Republic
Hába, Stanislav ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Horák, Jiří (referee)
The thesis scrutinizes public utilities (network industries) with focus on electricity market regulation. In the first part, a public utility is defined, including its economic characteristics and need for regulation. Within their regulation various models are introduced - in terms of level, voluntary/mandatory, ex ante/ ex post and branch of government. Further, the basic prerequisites for successful regulation are derived from the theory (independence, information capacity and trustworthiness). The second part is concerned only with electrical power industry with its characteristics, business model and regulation (both in the Czech Republic and in the EU). In the third part, an evaluation scorecard is created, which allows us to examine the quality of electricity regulators. The criteria in the scorecard are based on prerequisites (enforcement power, scale of resources, independence, dispute settlement, appeal procedure, transparency and consistency) and results (competition support, renewable energy resources and consumer protection). The model is applied to Energy Regulatory Office (Energeticky regulacni urad) in the Czech Republic.
Photovoltaic's resources economy
Rožánek, Lukáš ; Horník, Tomáš (advisor) ; Nowak, Ondřej (referee)
This assignment aims on phenomenon of last years, soler energy and it's use, photovoltaic. The first part of this assignment is elaborated on theoretical base and specialized literature and it is focused mainly on explanation of photovoltaic, photovoltaic's cell, electro energetic expressions etc. Further on the first part describes specific areas contextual with use of photovoltaic at present, as are legislation or system of support etc. The second part on the contrary to the first part deals with practical study aims on build-up and operation of solar power station. In this part of my assignment will be described all expenses, revenues and also cash flow. On the basis of a few investment criterion will be advised possibilities of it's investing with using loan capital or equity capital. At the end this assignment evaluate subject of photovoltaic's development of late years and it's influence on future of electro energetic, acceptableness of investment to this branch of business, height of return of investment and payback period as well.
