Pilot questioning of patological addiction on food - investigation accomplished in selected Prague fast food restaurants and sweetshops

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of food addiction. The research was held among the customers of Prague sweetshops, fast foods and supermarkets. The aim of this work is to find the prevalence of this phenomenon if Prague population, which visits these organizations. The second aim of this work is to deal with prevalence of food dependence in relation with social - demographic readings, such as gender, age, the highest education and a level of month salary. It pays attention to the high incidence of different criterion of food addiction. Finally it deals with problematic foodstuff. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the problems of food dependence. According to the bibliographic search this work reports on diagnostic methods for this illness and on most frequent problematic foodstuff, like additives in food. For better understanding of this problem I include to my work differences between eating disorders, obesity and food addiction. In this theoretic part, there is also article which deals with results of researches on rodents and human beings. This article confirms that this illness exists. Sugar addiction among abstinent clients in the psychiatric hospital Bohnice

The topic of the thesis focuses on nutrition for people recovering from alcohol addiction.The theoretical part of the thesis is to detect excessive use of sugar abstinent women in a psychiatric hospital and common characteristics depending on the seasoning.This section will be described alcohol, its production, its effects and impact on human health. Also described are the mechanisms of physical and psychological dependence on sugar. The harmfulness of sugar on the human body and the effect on his health. It pointed to the eating habits abstinent women in a psychiatric hospital. In the practical part of the thesis using quantitative research focuses on finding eating habits, specifically the amount of consumption of sugar-containing foods, with clients Bohnice Psychiatric Hospital, patients recovering from alcohol addiction. The aim of this section is to determine whether the amount of sugar accepted during the stay in a psychiatric hospital creates dependency on the delicacies. The practical part also shows the ratio of patients addicted to sugar, sugar endangered, or patients without addiction. Influence of sugar consumption on children`s obesity and other comorbidities

Consumption of sugar, sugar-containing food and drinks, related health risks and change of life style in our population are currently addressed issues with negative consequences already observed in childhood. The aim of the diploma thesis was to study the consumption of sugar and foods containing sugar in children attending kindergarten and 1st grade of elementary school. The theoretical part was focused on an overview of knowledge about sugars, both naturally occurring and added, and health risks associated with frequent consumption of foods containing added sugars. In the practical part, the consumption of these foods in terms of quantity and various forms and its influence on the development of childhood obesity and other metabolic diseases was monitored. At the same time, other aspects of children's lifestyle that could determine children's obesity were identified. The basis of the practical part was a questionnaire survey using questions determining eating habits of children. The research showed a relationship between the BMI of children above the 75th percentile and more frequent sweets consumption and less frequent active (sports) and natural physical activities. This work deals with Fairtrade sugar trade, maps terms related to the Fair Trade organization and Fairtrade trade. It also deals with the growing of the sugar beet and sugar cane and compares its growing demands, describes differences between production of sugar from the sugar beet and sugar cane and the importace of both plants and sugar for Czech republic. The second part of the work is research mapping knowledges about fairtrade, related terms and respondents interest in the origin of sugar they consume.

The diploma thesis deals with the definition and characteristics of decisive factors that influenced the production and economic context of the development of the individual phases of the commodity vertical sugar - sugar beet in the Czech Republic and within the EU common market. It defines in more detail the crucial changes affecting the business environment related to sugar beet and sugar production. It characterizes the impacts of specific measures on individual phases of commodity vertical. It examines the development of sowing areas, yield per hectare and sugar content of sugar beet for agricultural producers. Within the downstream industry, it describes the development of our sugar industry and compares current processing capacities with selected EU countries. In conclusion, the thesis deals with the balance of import and export of sugar and confectionery, as well as the analysis of the relationship between price and sugar consumption and the reaction to price movements in individual phases of commodity vertical.

This diploma thesis focuses on a sugar beet and a sugar market situation. First part of this thesis shows general overview of the market, ussage of sugar beet, sugar manufacturing, financial support, etc. The analytic part of the thesis is divided into separate parts as global, european and domestic sugar market while the most attention is paid to domestic situation. For the analisys of domestic market was a used basic index and a price transmission of average annual prizes since 2000 to 2016. To achieve the goal was used particular this literature: CSU, MZe, Listy cukrovarnicke a reparske a Potravinarska komora Ceske republiky. The results shows that the situation of sugar beet and sugar market is constantly evolving and is controlled by agrarian policy. Liberalization of the market brings free trade to the european market on the other hand there is high probabillty just for big manufacturers to persist on the market. The small companies will have troubles to succed on the market next to the big companies unless there will be change in sugar beet financial support.

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of sugar commodity vertical in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to characterize the development of sugar commodity vertical in the business environment of Czech agribusiness and within the common agricultural market of the European Union. In the theoretical part, attention was paid to explaining the terms agrarian market, sugar beets as a commodity for sugar processing and the impact of the Social Agricultural Policy on a given commodity. The thesis deals with the description of the commodity vertical and the analysis of consumption, production and development of sugar beet and sugar prices both on the Czech market and on the European market. It was found that the most important factor was the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union and adaptation to new measures of the Social Agricultural Policy and the Social Organization of the Market in Sugar.

The Bachelor’s thesis summarises the problems of the importance and use of saccharose. The work mentions the characteristics and the division of saccharides where saccharose falls. It focuses on saccharose as such, its chemical composition and biological, physical, chemical and technological qualities. The work describes naturally occurring saccharose, its products and their use, or more precisely artificially produced saccharose and its use. Its use is mostly specified in food industry as well as its impact on human organism and the resulting dietary recommendations. Last but not least, the work also provides information on the development of sugar consumption both in the Czech Republic and in the world.

The diploma thesis deals with the development of commodity chain of sugarcane in Brazil. The paper defines and characterizes the specifics and potential of sugarcane on the global market. Within examined commodity chain, the characteristics of the crucial linkages in the technological context and the characteristics of the flow of the raw material and its further use are made. The main attention is focused on the two most important outputs, such as sugar and ethanol. Sugar is now one of the most important raw materials in the global world, while ethanol has also been gradually becoming important due to its association with increasing emphasis on environmental protection and rising demand for renewable energy sources.

The work is focused on operational comparison of two technologies of sugar beet growth. The comparison took place on two adjacent plots with almost the same properties. On the first plot the stand was based on Stip-Tillage technology. On the second plot was used minimalization technology, specifically loosening and subsequent preparation before sowing using a compactor. Several parameters of the soil preparation were evaluated on the plots. Subsequently, the vegetation was monitored during the growing season. The thesis is also supplemented by yield parameters and simplified economic evaluation.
