Analysis of management of the insurance company UNIQA a. s.

This bachelor thesis deals with the financial analysis of the insurance company UNIQA a. s. during the period 2008-2015. The first and the second part of the thesis deal with the theoretical basis for financial analysis of business entities and mention the specifics of the management of commercial insurance companies. The third part characterizes the chosen insurance company and the financial analysis on the basis of common ratios and indicators specially adapted for financial analysis of insurance companies is included in the part. The last part of the thesis is focused on the comparison of the development of individual financial indicators to another equally large insurance company and to the whole insurance market.

Marketing communication of commercial insurance companies on social media

The diploma thesis deals with marketing communication of commercial insurance companies on social media. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of the communication activities of commercial insurance companies on selected social media. Based on the identified state and detected interest in these communication activities by customers, recommendations are suggested for improvement of communication online commercial insurance companies to support the sales of insurance products. The first section defines the areas of insurance, marketing communication and social media. After that there is identification of activities that companies can perform on social media to increase brand awareness. These activities can be monitored, evaluated and after that optimized. In the second section there is identified the current state of commercial insurance activities on social media and detected interest in these activities from customers by using qualitative research. Based on these findings, draft recommendations are formulated on possible improvements to the current situation. The benefit of this thesis is the identification of the current state of commercial insurance activities on social media.

Financial Performance of Selected Insurance Companies on the Czech and German Market

The Diploma thesis deals with financial performance of selected commercial insurances on the Czech and German market in years 2010 - 2014. The thesis includes an external analysis of selected insurance companies based on financial ratios used in insurance and comparing their results each year of the reporting period separately for each insurance company. For increasing the information value of the results is made a comparing insurance companies between themselves. On the basis of results are given recommendations for optimizing unwanted values to improve the financial health of insurances, which is the basis for making profit.
