Role of Self-help Organizations in Health and Social Care Services for People with Disabilities

This thesis is discussing about function and issues of self-help organizations which are helping people with disabilities from different points of view. The number of disabled people living at home care is rapidly increasing in recent years. A disabled member in the household brings many difficulties. In order to overcome them many of these families associate together and establish self-help organizations. The author of this thesis legislatively and institutionally anchored this issue, inform about its development and its current functioning. The current system is not without problems and causes significant barriers in running of the organizations and everyday life of its members. By using semi-structured interviews with the stakeholders (founder, contact person, advisor, disabled member and coordinator of the self-help organization) the author is identifying problem areas which are subsequently interpreted individually for each person involved as well as for the whole group and describes the main problems mentioned by more than one party. The author is resolving problems with establishment of the self-help organization, financing, attitude of the interested institutions and health care.
Successful lobbying strategy of Inventura demokracie, case study of NGO's lobbying

The study aims to describe comprehensively the lobbing strategy of student's nongovernmental organization called Inventura demokracie. The first part determinates basic terms. The second part examines the theory of lobbing, civil society, and state. The third part analyses lobbing of Inventura demokracie in practice. The Fight against Corruption in Prague - the Anti-corruption Strategy of Government and Civil Society during the "Necas's government".

Presented work deals with the issue of fighting against corruption. In a theoretical level the work informs about the causes of corruption and the tools that are currently used for its persecuting. In the practical part I try to find out the way of improvement of corruption range seen throgh the eyes of actors that operate in Prague city. The aim of the work is to identify possibilities of efficiency improvement of nonprofit organizations and the public sector in the field of fighting against the corruption. The analytical part of the work, therefore, maps the situation in relations between selected non-profit organizations and relations between them and the public administration, which is in this work represented by the Prague City Hall - an institution which represents by the local government activities.
Mid-term planning of social services at the region level.

Master Thesis 2013 David Pospíšil Abstract: The subject of this master thesis is to analyze the current state of the mid- term planning of social services at regional level. This master thesis also describes the historical context of community planning, social services and their financing system. In this thesis there are applied methods as problem and objectives tree and multi-criteria evaluation of mid-term plans of social services development at the regional level, analysis and study of current legal standards related to this issue and questionnaire survey with representatives of the regions and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. This thesis deals with the mid-term planning of social services in relation to the present legal anchor in Czech legislation. Mid-term planning of social services is based on the principle of subsidiarity. The whole process should be as open to the public and especially other immediate stakeholders as to providers or users of social services. The planning process is not entirely new tool for decision-making and the development of strategies. It appears there are many activities and areas that are not well interconnected. Civil society organization operating in the Czech cinema after 1989

This thesis deals with civil society organizations in the field of cinema in the Czech Republic. Cinematography is part of art and industry, with further influences of technology, culture, social or political situation. As in other areas there creates also civil society in the field of cinematography. The aim of this work is to determine the reasons are civil society organization formed and how they function. Due to the broad approach of the target group the research project work was targeted at those organizations that contribute to the development, support and promotion of Czech cinematography in general, and are the major players with the conceptual and strategic influence to the whole area.
