Technological lines for maintenance of permanent grass vegetation in the protected landscape areas.
NAHODIL, Antonín
The thesis deals with technological lines for the maintenance of the permanent grass vegetation in the protected landscape areas. The theoretical part describes what are the protected landscape areas and National Parks. Moreover the agro-technical requirements and terms for the performance of individual operations while harvesting the fodder are included there. Also the characteristic signs of individual sites are involved: altitude, slope, natural obstacles, dimensions of the plot and its orientation. The practical part involves the assembly of technological lines for harvesting the hay and silage with high contents of dry matter. Technical and technological requirements on individual mechanization means and operation. Economic evaluation of suggested procedures.
The ecological aspect emanation of zinc and copper in the cattle
JURKOVÁ, Petra
The objective of my diploma thesis was to determine the ecological impact of zinc and copper on the dairy and beef cattle breeding in the South-West Bohemia region at the farms located in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area, at the elevation from 750 m to 1070 m. The research included 4 cattle breeding farms, Posobice and Nemilkov {--} dairy cattle, and Hartmanice, Keple {--} beef cattle. In my thesis, I first evaluate the importance of zinc and copper as important mineral matters and their overall influence of the cattle organism. Furthermore, I evaluate their manifestations when these matters are lacking or in surplus in the organism. The final part of the thesis comprises two areas of findings. The first part focuses on the total intake in feed and mineral additives, the level of their content in blood plasma and their quantity excreted by cattle in the individual dairy and beef cattle breeding farms specified above. The second part researches the release of zinc and copper to the environment.
Millipedes (Diplopoda), centipedes (Chilopoda), terrestrial isopods (Oniscidea), and earthworms (Lumbricidae) of the Pálava Biosphere Reserve
Tajovský, Karel ; Pižl, Václav
The earliest records of millipedes, centipedes, terrestrial isopods, and earthworms from the territory of the Pálava Biosphere Reserve (BR) come from the thirties to fifties of the past century. However, the research on these invertebrates was carried out mainly in the adjacent floodplain of the Dyje River downstream to its confluence with the Morava River, covering only partially the territory of the present BR. An important milestone was the project aimed at the survey of terrestrial invertebrates within the extended BR, as recently under consideration (Rozkošný a Vaňhara 1995), in which all available faunistic records were summarised. Intensive soil zoological research carried out in the scope of the Global Environment Facility project as well as activities connected with biomonitoring in protected areas of the Czech Republic improved importantly the knowledge of the distribution of these invertebrates in the study area. At present, 23 species of millipedes (30% of species known in the Czech Republic) , 21 species of centipedes (29%), 16 species of terrestrial isopods (36%), and 19 species and subspecies of earthworms (36%) are known from the Pálava BR. The thermophilous character of many localities is manifested in the occurrence of the millipede Megaphyllum unilineatum, the centipedes Scutigera coleoptrata, Dignathodon microcephalus, and Henia illyrica, the isopod Trachelipus nodulosus, as well as of the earthworms Dendrobaena mrazeki and Kritodrilus auriculatus. The records of the millipedes Julus scanicus and Leptoiulus cibdellus in the wetland biotopes of the Křivé jezero National Nature Reserve, those of the terrestrial isopods Armadillidium versicolor in the Pavlov Hills, and that of Armadillidium zenckeri in the Slanisko u Nesytu National Nature Reserve, as well as the occurrence of the earthworms Allolobophora hrabei and Fitzingeria platyura in the Milovice Forest and Pavlov Hills are particularly important.
Updated list of stoneflies (Insecta, Plecoptera) of the Šumava National Park and Protected Landscape Area with regard to their species protection
Soldán, Tomáš
Update list of Plecoptera of the area in question consists of 75 species,18 genera and 7 families of the order including 5 species the txonomic status of which is unclear and respective historical records seem to be doubtful. Based on recent data,5 species, namely Brachyptera monilicornis (Pictet, 1841), Capnopsis schilleri (Rostock, 1892),Rhabdiopteryx acuminata Klapálek,1905,Nemoura sciurus Aubert, 1949 a Nemoura cf. babiagorensis Sowa,1964,are recorded from the Bohemian part of the mountains for the first time. Long-term data originating from the 1950´s of the past century enable to evaluate the status from their protection point of view (red list):3 species are extinct within the whole Czech Republic,5 species are extinct or missing in the Bohemian Forest (=Šumava Mts.) for more then 20 yearch,2 are critically endangered,6 endangered,7 vulnerable and 8 species are near threatened. Further 6 species show data deficiency and remaining 36 species still do not require any treatment.
