Sunday's and Weekday's Liturgical Life in Chosen Urban Parishes

Abstrac Bachelor's thesis Sunday's and Weekday's Liturgical Life in Current Urban Parishes contains two parts- the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part focuses on the basic differences between liturgical life on Sunday and on weekdays and during the liturgical year. It begins with a description how the religious life of the Jews looked like. It outlines the history of the celebration of the liturgy in the West and in the East by pointing out the differences which still remain. In the historical description it can't omit the influence of the Vatican Council II. and its Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium on the liturgical celebration. Then it clarifies differences between liturgy and popular piety. In the crux of this thesis is an analysis of liturgical life during the whole week. This ceremony is considered to be a ritualized phenomenon, wherein coexisting of emotions and ritual elements takes place. It describes the importance and function of a ritual during specific social actions. The thesis substantiates the process of ritualism and designs a typology of goal celebrations. Thus created categorization is formed by three main components of celebrating - ritualism, emotions and dramaturgic performance. The whole thesis is conceived as a dramaturgical analysis of social action. This approach emphasizes individual actors (or teams), who play specific roles during goal celebrating in order to present their own self and to make an impression on the other actors in the performance. The thesis is inspired by an interpretation of dramaturgical analysis according to Erving Goffman. His book 'The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life' is one of the key sources for the thesis. Ordinarium by Karel Briza and Mistake in Interpretation in Prague's Churches

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of Ordinarium by Karel Bříza. The part about life and work of Karel Bříza is followed by short historical-theological explanation of texts from Ordinarium Missae. The study itself consists of music component analysis. Final chapter deals with recordings of Bříza's Ordinarium from churches in Prague. The mail goal is to describe common mistakes which are frequently repeated, find out whether the organists follow prescribed accompaniment and to evaluate quality of music in Prague's churches.
The Changes of the Sociocultural Role of Carnival and Charivari in the Historical Perspective

The thesis discusses the changes of the sociocultural role of Carnival and Charivari in the Western culture from the Late Middle Agges to the end of the early modern period. The thesis is graunded in the analysis of secondary literature about the carnival and charivari , which is considered to be paradigmatic in history. The analysis follows the thesis of theoretical concepts of N. Elias and M. Foucault. Both of these authors deal with establishing specific individuality of modern man based on the necessary self-control a courtesy codified by social consensus. Carnival and charivari are examples of ritualized collective transgression, which helps create the values and norms of society. Carnival is primarily an expression of popular culture, which includes ritual, play and festivities. It celebrates human nature; the bodily pleasure food, drink, sex and violence, everything that should be civilized by culture. Margaret Theresa of Spain and her arrival to the Apennine Peninsula in 1666 viewed by a contemporary eyewitness

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the cross-country journey of Margaret Theresa of Spain from Madrid to Vienna in 1666. The work primarily focuses on the reflection of the daily life of Emperor Leopold I's wife during her travel. Together with the baroque performance practice, long-distance journeys represent the integral part of travels of King Philip IV´s younger daughter. The essential of the thesis is built on the archival records of Joseph de Villarroell´s Relacion diaria de la iornada de la Senora Emperatriz: desde que desembarcó en el Final, hastaque salió de Lombardia published in 1667 in Milan. This Margaret Theresa's detailed diary, written in Spanish, had been compiled by one of the independent eyewitnesses and active participants of the above mentioned expedition. The thesis also attempts to conjure a vivid image of Margaret Theresa and Luis de Guzmán Ponce de León, Spanish governor of the Duchy of Milan, in the figurative speech of the above mentioned performances.

Private deck of cards created during six-month survey and documentation of daily experiences. The package contains 49 cards and it is inspired by a set of 78 tarot cards. Text content - reverse side of the card was created using diary notes. Face side of the card was chosen as a representation of processes taking place usually in days when the card was read.

The work describes lives of pupils at Elementary School in Dačice in the years 1890-1953. The chapters deal with the history of the town of Dačice, the information about the pupils, their education, anniversaries and memories and also their activities on behalf of the country during the war. The work also focuses on the political and other important events that happened within the given years, and whether and how they had an impact at school. The work mainly analyses extant sources chronicles.
Jan Adolf Schwarzenberg and the Order of the Golden Fleece

This thesis is devoted to the ceremonial conferment of the Order of the Golden Fleece to Jan Adolf Schwarzenberg, which took place on 1 December 1650 in Brussels. Its aim is to reconstruct the course of the individual steps of the Golden Fleece ritual celebrations. The author approaches to the celebration from the symbolic content point of view in order to interpret all chronologically arranged parts of performance. Communication net analysis of Jan Adolf Schwarzenberg is also considered to be an important tool to obtain the above mentioned awards. The author also deals with symbolic meaning of preserved Greeting sheets, sent by the Count of Schwarzenberg to the communicators in order to congratulate them on obtaining the Order.
