Steam condensing turbine
Štěpánová, Lenka ; Krbek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to design a steam condensing turbine with three bleeds. First, a heat balance of the steam cycle is calculated, followed by thermodynamic and stress calculation of the turbine blading and design of a gland steam system and drain system. A price proposal is suggested for the given steam turbine. In the end, a design drawing of the steam turbine is constructed.
Disc friction of centrifugal pumps
Homola, Tomáš ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses the issue of the fluid flow instabilities due to rotating discs. It also deals with the calculation of axial force in centrifugal pumps and pressure distribution on cover and support disc of the impeller. Computational simulation of rotating disc is presented with the aim of capturing flow instabilities. Next computational simulation focuses on modelling a gap between the support disc (rotor) and the stator part of the pump for three different geometries, where axial force, pressure distribution on the support disc and loss torque are calculated for each of three models. Obtained results are then compared with the experiment in the conclusion
Study of plunger pump with inverse ball screw and submersed motor
Švestka, Jiří ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This thesis is focused on study of piston pump with ball screw and submersed motor. Theoretic part is about study using pump and ball screw. Equations for description of pump, motor and ball screw are in computation part. And in last part is construction of pump and valve. Valve is computed in CFD.
Axial force and pressure pulsations in double-suction pump.
Vacula, Jiří ; Franc, Zdeněk (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with axial thrust existence in a double suction pump rotor. Axial thrust appears especially in low flow rates modes. The aim of this work is finding information about this issue and deriving mathematical model of calculation which will be subsequently applied on experimental data received from double suction pump measurement in laboratory. It is important to examine the whole dynamics of axial thrust development and find its cause of formation in measured double suction pump.
Study of the vortex impeller pump design
Červinka, Martin ; Koutný, Luděk (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with problems of design a sludge pump with a vortex impeller. Clearly summarizes the basic information on hydrodynamic pumps with a significant focus on sludge pumps. It contains a design of a vortex impeller, which is supported by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) calculation in software Fluent. The aim of the work is to design vortex impeller, which could replace the existing channel impeller while maintaining the operating parameters of the pump.
