Influence of soil pretreatment on the determination of its properties using thermogravimetry
Ragačová, Lucia ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (referee) ; Kučerík, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the influence of soil pretreatment on the determination of its properties by the method of thermogravimetry, which allows the soil sample to be analyzed as a whole. The aim is to clarify how soil preparation affects the results of TG soil analysis. Soil preparation can have a major impact on its quality and thus disrupt the interrelationships of soil components that have been formed as a result of long-term pedogenesis. In this thesis, therefore, the original soils were compared with the soils, which were grinded using a ball mill before the analysis, which represented a very intensive intervention in the soil structure and was therefore a mechanically disturbed soil. A modified method of deriving weight loss has been used to evaluate the issue. The data obtained were divided into 10°C thermal intervals, in-between which the loss of weight of the individual intervals were identified. The impact of soil milling on its determinability in relation to the total carbon and nitrogen content in the soil have been compared through the correlation of data obtained from elemental analysis and TG data. Subsequently, we focused on comparing the interrelationships of the equations of ground and unground soil samples, based on the theoretical equations of the issue. As a final look, we chose autocorrelation of TG data for the obtained ground and unground samples. The results of the examination have shown that even though grinding of samples represents a very intensive intervention into the soil structure and thus the soil is mechanically disturbed, such sample preparation has only a minimal effect on the determinability of soil properties.
Correlation analysis of optically trapped particle motion
Koudelníček, Karel ; Jákl,, Petr (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the description of random (Brownian) motion of microscopic particle trapped by optical trap. This thesis provides overview of possible usage in biology. The major part of the thesis is dedicated to description of methods that allow characterize optical trap with etc. stiffness thanks to the random motion. First, the estimation methods are tested on the simulated data. Before using these methods for real data, it was necessary to modify them, specifically to eliminate crosstalk and frequency noise. The differences in the estimation of the stiffness from the autocorrelation function and the power spectrum were described in the conclusion.
Comparison of spectrum and directional dharacteristics of double reed instruments
Cočev, Jiří ; Buzzi, Mario (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis deals with analysis of the sound signals of double reed wind musical instruments. Research focuses mainly on properties of the reed and how properties of reed affects the overall sound of the instrument. For the description of the signals were used FFT, LPC, Autocorrelation and Cepstral analysis. In conclusion, the thesis offers possible future direction for the experimental research of double reed wind musical instruments.
Impact evaluation of foreign direct investment on the financial situation of an internationally operating enterprise and suggestions for its improvement
Šulc, Michal ; Hornungová, Jana (referee) ; Procházková, Kateřina (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the evaluation of the impact of foreign direct investment on the financial situation of the internationally operating company ČESKÁ LÉKÁRNA HOLDING, a.s. The theoretical part includes a comprehensive analysis of foreign direct investment from various aspects, financial analysis, selected indicators, analysis of external and internal environment and methodological approaches including statistical tests for subsequent research. The analytical part includes selected indicators for the period 2000 to 2021 presented in graphical form as well as research aimed at demonstrating the impact of foreign direct investment. The design section proposes solutions that are expected to induce positive or economically beneficial changes with the anticipated result of improving the company's financial situation.
Automation of measurement of directional characteristics of sound sources
Nimmerrichter, Benjamin ; Liska, Matej (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with the topic of automating the measuring of directional sound radiation characteristics of sound sources with the use of one to sixteen, possibly thirty-two microphones connected to an audio device, which supports the ASIO driver technology, which is connected to a computer with an installation of the MATLAB software. In the scope of this thesis a program was created, which is capable of measuring the 2D and 3D directional characteristics of sound sources and it can show the frequency spectrum of the signal. This work addresses the problematics of the effective value of discrete signals, calibration of microphones for measuring sound pressure level, the calculation and measuring of the level of acoustic pressure in dB (SPL), the autocorrelation of a discrete signal, plotting of the measurement in a polar or spherical plot and the calculation of the signal to noise ratio. This thesis contains a theoretical introduction to the measurement and to the propagation of sound, then the composition of the program and the measurement and an assessment of the measured results.
Acoustic tuner with audio output
Kučera, Josef ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare selected algorithms used in practice for tuning indication. Within the thesis, the selected algorithms are tested in Matlab environment on a series of audio samples, in order to select the most suitable algorithm for the realization of the tuner. The selected algorithm is implemented on the Arduino platform using Arduino IDE enviroment. Moreover, a voice output is created for tuning indication.
An Econometric Model of Electricity Demand in the Czech Republic - a Comparative Study of the Relationship between Retail and Commercial Prices in EU
Franěk, Martin ; Pavláková Dočekalová, Marie (referee) ; Luňáček, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this master´s thesis is to create an econometric models explaining the formation of electricity prices with a focus on comparing the environment of retail and wholesale prices between years 2010 and 2020. The model will be created for the environment of the Czech Republic and another chosed EU member country. The partial goals of the work are the research of professional literature, the creation of a database for the computational part, the creation of the model in the appropriate statistical software (GRETL and IBM SPSS Statistics 25), testing the stability of the model and the discussion and evaluation of results.

Estimation and analysis of speech signal periodicity
Malucha, Jan ; Poměnková, Jitka (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
Theoretical part starts with a short introduction to speech signals and short time analysis method. Concept of periodicity is clarified. This is followed by analysis of the speech signal parameters - voiced/unvoiced classification, intonation and short time period similarity. Next the overview of methods used to analyze the mentioned parameters together with concepts of their algorithms is provided. These methods include ZCR, STE, HNR, ACF, NCC, AMDF and DTW. Algorithms using the methods with supporting preprocessing algorithms were programmed in MATLAB for practical part. All were tested on real speech signals and the results are discussed at the end of the thesis.
