Analytical methods applied for the evaluation of environmental contamination by uranium ore mining
Bílek, Jiří ; Holubová, Zuzana (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the testing procedures used in monitoring of environmental contamination after uranium ore mining in the uranium mine in Dolní Rožínka. It deals with the determination of radioactive elements radium, uranium and radon. The methods used for the determination of radioactive elements in mine laboratory in Dolní Rožínka are described. The thesis also mentions other applicable methods for determination of uranium. The metods of determination of manganese, iron and other metallic elements are also summarized in brief. The values of concentrations of monitored analytes in selected locations are presented at the end of the thesis. These values, which were provided by laboratories in Dolní Rožínka, are valid for 2010.

Optical communication in ultra violet band
Golubev, Martin ; Hudcová, Lucie (referee) ; Poliak, Juraj (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with analyzing atmospheric transmission media properties and performance ratio in ultraviolet band optics beam propagating in Earth's atmosphere. In work are definited a optical phenomenons, their implications and use. Description of atmospheric transmission media analyzes the impact of individual particles in the atmosphere on optical beams. There are described a effect of ultraviolet light on living organisms. Simulations of performance ratio using Matlab and proposal of concrete link of UV NLOS for short range are serve as a basis for further research into this field of optical communications.

Alternative Methods for the Analysis of Structural Changes in Muscle Tissue

Flexular Strength and Hydrolytic Stability of FRC/PFC Dental Bi-Material
Dombková, Julie ; Trautmann, Radoslav (referee) ; Poláček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the flexural strength of FRC/PFC dental bi-materials and their resistance degree to hydrolysis degradation. The block-shaped samples were exposed to the flexure in three points. The strength and modulus of elasticity were measured by multi-purpose test device called Zwick Z0100. Electron scanning microscope was used for observation of disrupted localities. From the outcomes gained result that the mechanical characteristics are affected by dipping of fibre composite, spatial organization of the support, water absorption of materials used and the matrix and the support adhesion.

Air contaminants separation process
Krištof, Ondřej ; Pekař, Miloslav (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
The Diploma thesis is focused on the separation of gaseous pollutants from contaminated mixtures of gases into liquids using absorbent device. The theoretical part is mainly concerned with describing the absorption process, the method expression and the factors influencing the rate of transfer of contaminants between phases. The experimental part deals with the dependence of transfer of carbon dioxide contained in an air mixture into an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide on the process conditions of separation in pilot scrubber.

Efficiency of selected chemical reactions on the membrane reactor
Liman, Martin ; Mirko,, Dohnal (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the efficiency of reactions happening on the membrane reactor or also known as a contactor. The theoretical part contains basic insight into the theories needed to understand chemically physical phenomena on membrane contactors. Furthermore, the theoretical part serves as a recherche for modern membrane contactor technologies, including the examples of their usage. The practical part consists of a description of the membrane contactor that is used, the methodology of the measuring and the measured data output. Afterwards, the results are being talked over and developed further to the possible use in the current technologies.
