School Atlases for the Weak-sighted

The aim of this degree thesis is to create a brief summary of cartographic production for visually impaired people, to evaluate selected works and to create an Asthenopia School Atlas draft. Sample sheets showing an asthenopic map of Australia are included in the appendix of the degree thesis. The MicroStation application program was used for the atlas draft creation as well as for the creation of the Australia map sample sheets.
Municipal offer for visually impaired people

The aim of the work is the analysis of current municipal supply for visually handicapped people, the subsequent formulation of the conclusions of the analysis and presentation of proposals for improvements. The work is based on the in-depth study of literature and sources, the definition of the studied area, the analysis of the current municipal supply for the visually handicapped people and the actual survey of the visually handicapped people. The conclusion includes proposals to improve the current situation. A significant part of the work detects the needs and desires of the visually handicapped people, which was carried out by a questionnaire. The analysis of the current situation was performed on the basis of the questionnaire survey at all regional offices in the Czech Republic and in several non-for-profit organizations. According to the detected results possibilities of further aid to visually handicapped people in the Pilsen region are suggested.
Using Compensating Aids by visually impaired in economy education

This bachelor thesis aims to increase of awareness about compensating aids using by visually impaired people in economic education. In theoretical part there are listed characteristics of visually impaired, typical features of economic education and compensating aids. The thesis comes from author's own experience, because he is a student with visually impaired of economical field himself. The qualitative method was chosen for achieving of stated aims. The thesis brings solutions, which could help mainly teachers of economical subjects and their visually impaired students. The teachers could find basic information about often using compensating aids and their possible application by economical education. The benefit there is also opening of issue dealing with visually impaired students at economical fields and their following employment in positions in economic sphere too. The thesis could be a topic for thinking about the choice of appropriate teaching method regards using compensating aids by student during teaching.
Teaching special competences to visually impaired pupils in the main educational stream within primary education with specialization in orientation in space and independent movement.

This thesis focuses on teaching special competences to visually impaired pupils in the main educational stream within primary education with specialization in orientation in space and independent movement. The aim of the thesis was to find out whether orientation in space was trained in South Bohemian ordinary primary schools where visually impaired children are integrated. Qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interview with experts from primary schools was applied to the thesis.
Analysis of the web accessibility evaluation tools in terms of visually disabled users

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of web accessibility evaluation tools in terms of visually disabled users. For understanding, the very first terms to be clarified are "accessible web site" and "visually disabled user," including possible classifications and their specific needs. Because of significant differences between the requirements for the accessibility of each group of visually disabled, only a sample of available tools is selected for analysis. The main focus is placed on those who suffer from low-vision or color blindness. According to the obtained results, it is possible to get the general idea/image of the possibilities offered by these tools and make it easier to decide on the most appropriate for certain/specific situation. The work is divided into three main parts. Basic terms are defined in the first section. The second part addresses to users with visual disability, their classification and difficulties accessing the information available on the web. Finally, the practical analysis of selected tools and services is content of the third part. The tools are evaluated using created methodology including specific criteria.
