Dendrological evaluation of interesting trees in selected parts of České Budějovice town
HRUBEŠOVÁ, Kristýna
In the urban area of České Budějovice, there was carried out a dendrological survey of selected localities during the year 2018 and 2019. There were observed especially the area of the park Na Sadech, Háječek, Sokolský ostrov, park on the Malše river embankment, Staroměstský park and park Na Dlouhé louce. The survey was focused on interesting, notable and in pedagogical practice usable woody plants and their selected dendrometric parameters. Altogether 67 woody plants were evaluated. The most often evaluated taxon was Common Oak (Quercus robur) with 9 representatives. In the inventory there were registered 23 introduced taxons coming largely from North America. All woody plants were drawn in map plans, which are included in results of this work. To make the received data and information usable and available in practical teaching at primary and secondary schools, there was also an online map created in the application Google Earth as part of this work, which includes complete photo documentation of rated woody plants. Results of this work can be used as teaching materials especially for educational walks joined with trees identification.

Porovnání araneofauny dutin ovocných dřevin v okolí liniových staveb v Brně - Obřany a Rohozná
Boučková, Monika
The aim of my bachelor thesis was to determine the number of spiders in the cavities of fruit alley trees around the line structures (path, roads). I chose two localities, one made of fruit and the other leafy trees, which I then compare. I caught the spiders in the news traps during the 2014/2015 period every month. I found a total of 163 spiders, of which only 5 were adult. I found these adults in the summer months in a different kind of representation. The most numerous of them is the family Salticidae represented by 2 pieces. Juvenile individuals were the most represented by the families of Philodromidae. These species I discovered 61 predominantly on Malus domestica. Keywords: spiders, trees, cavities, line structures, adult, juvenile
Zhodnocení zdravotního stavu a biologického potenciálu dřevin v lokalitě Černovírský hřbitov
Svozil, Jiří
The thesis deals with the research of the locality, dendrometric data, health status and vitality assessment as well as operational safety of tree species at a military cemetery in Olomouc-Černovír. The bachelor thesis also includes a survey of the occurrence of wood entomofauna and wood-destroying fungi, as well as the design of arboric care in order to maintain or increase the biological potential while maintaining operational safety. The result of the work is recorded in summary tables, processed according to the SPPK A01 001: 2015 tree evaluation standard and supplemented by extensive photographic documentation, which can be found on included DVD.
Dendrologická skladba lesů oblasti Diriamba, Nikaragua
Naďová, Zdena
In this bachelor thesis I was dealing with a brief atlas of woody plants at the farm of La Reserva. The aim was to compile and process a transparent atlas of the trees on the farm, which includes their description, distribution and use. Thirty species have been identified and a detailed photo-documentation of bark, leaves, overall appearance and the abundance has been processed for each wood. I processed the woody plants into a general table, which gives the name of woody plants, use and abundance. According to a qualified estimation, I have divided the number of trees into three categories - rare, common and abundant. Based on this knowledge, the importance of species, their potential use and proposed farm management were assessed.
Dom na strome
Abel, Šimon
The work deals with a Tree House with an emphasis on the method of anchoring the structure to the growing tree, selecting a suitable tree and the problem of the life-time of the building. The practical part of the work is the design of the House in the Tree, which will serve for its own use as well as it will be a promotional building for the presentation of Tree Houses. The work is a design of a wooden structure placed in the crown of a massive maple. The building is designed for a year-round operation for two people providing an unusual but comfortable living in the tree crown.
Analýza dřevin na vybraných hřbitovech ve Zlínském kraji ve vazbě na půdní poměry a návrhy konkrétních opatření
Kytka, Martin
This thesis deals with problematics of tree species, especially trees growing in public cemeteries in various localities within the Zlín Region. Cemeteries are specific habitats for woody plants, where the interests of cemetery owners often get into collision with the interests of trees that grow near graves. In view of the frequent earthworks at the cemeteries, this work is focused mainly on the assessment of the state of health, vitality and operational safety of the studied species, but there is also the assessment of soil conditions in individual cemeteries. In the future, I find this topic very interesting, with open possibilities for further research, because the trees and cemeteries in the Czech Republic are inherent in our climate and culture.
Vizualization and Generation of Realistic Tree Models
Pafčo, Tomáš ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with generation of realistic tree models and theirs real-time visualization. Proposed generating method offers versatile spectrum of variable parameters, so it is able to create particular species of broad-leaved or coniferous trees with relative high amount of authenticity. It is also possible to manage level of details and complexity of tree geometry, which influence the rendering time and amount of frames per second. An OpenSceneGraph, the open-source toolkit, was used to visualization. A demonstrational application was created in C++ to visualize several types of trees on WinXP platform.
The influence of trees on contamination of soil with 137Cs
TRNKOVÁ, Michaela
Nuclear weapons testing in the atmosphere and accidents in nuclear energy facilities in the last 50 years caused significant contamination of the environment. Half-life of certain leaked radionuclides is several decades and therefore they are still present in today's environment. That is the reason why there is still on going monitoring of radiation situation in the Czech Republic in order to determine the behaviour and kinetics of anthropogenic radionuclides in the environment and the severity of radiological impact on humans. The results of this monitoring serve to review the radiation situation, observe long-term trends and last but not least to gain new knowledge that could facilitate the management od radiological emergencies. The aim of this thesis was to measure the content of 137Cs in soils under and around leafy tree crowns in the area affected by radiation fall and to find out whether the tree's crown has an effect on the distribution of 137Cs in the soils below them. To this end, a research question has been set: Do tree crowns affect the distribution of cesium in the soils below them? For better intelligibility, the introduction of the thesis is devoted to information about ionizing radiation, basic terms and quantities in the field of ionizing radiation, sources of radionuclide contamination, especially the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, environmental and population contamination, and elements important for the practical part of this work. The theoretical part is followed by research methodology. The soil samples were collected under five leafy trees of the Walnut species that met the set criteria for collection. Under each tree, samples were taken in three directions at an angle of 120° always at the trunk, in the middle of the crown, at the edge of the crown and outside the crown. Thus, 12 samples per tree, a total of 60 samples. Dry and purified soil samples were measured by semiconductor gamma spectrometry which determined 137Cs radionuclide mass activity values as well as naturally occurring radionuclide40K. Graphs were generated from the measured values. Despite the frequent deviations that may be caused by natural phenomena or human activities, it was found out that tree crowns affect the distribution of 137Cs in the soils below them.
