Assessment of emissions into the atmosphere
Fialová, Lada ; Kulich, Vladimír (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
In my master thesis I focus on evaluation of gas emissions from the Nuclear Power Station (NPS) Dukovany. My goal is to judge a fulfilment of czech legislative demands and Euratom “Commison recommendation on standartised information on radioactive airborne and liquid discharges into the environment form nuclear power reactors in normal operation” by operator of the NPS Dukovany. I give an acount of resources of gas radioaktive waste in the NPS Dukovany, methods of their cleaning and monitoring in air-conditioning systems in the NPS. Moreover, I sumarize czech legislative demands on monitoring of gas emissions from nuclear power stations and valide decisions of State Office for Nuclear Safety (SONS) for discharges of radionuclids from NPS Dukovany into environment, where autorised limits for gas emissions into atmosphere are set. In the folowing part of the thesis, I describe separate elements bound for monitoring of gas emissions, including technical parameters of individual measuring instruments. Sumary of radioactive emissions to athmosphere during 2007 and sumary of emissions within last 10 years are also included. Finaly, I deal with an analysis on the fulfilment of Euratom Commission demands for monitoring of gas emissions in the NPS Dukovany and I evaluate imperfections to be found during the proces of monitoring of gas emissions from the NPS Dukovany and I make some recommendatios for their correction and improvement of the monitoring. In conclusion, the NPS Dukovany fulfils demands of the czech legislation and decisions of SONS in the field of monitoring of gas emissions into atmosphere. The NPS Dukovany is aware of above mentioned imperfections and focuses on up-dating of measuring instruments in the course of investments, which are under preparation.
The soil protection in Czech republic and European Union
Gavlasová, Iva ; Marton, Daniel (referee) ; Kameníčková, Ivana (advisor)
Bachelor's work affects and documents the basic degradation processes in the soil, agricultural and forest, which belongs to the natural wealth of our country. Further points to the legislative provisions relating to the protection of the soil in the Czech Republic and the EU and their effectiveness. Gradually are analyzed the various degradation processes, erosion, soil compaction, a land grab, desertification, salinisation and sodifikace soils, soil contamination.
Food Legislation of EU and The Czech Republic - Implementation by Food Industry
ŘÍHA, Michal
This work describes the development of legislative provisions relating to the issue of animal products as food, issued in the CR and the EU. This work also reports their implementation in food businesses, particularly in terms of data provided on product labels. During this work product labels were collected in selected chain stores, documented by photography and the obtained results were compared with the applicable requirements of the CR. The observed data of this study are also compared with the requirements of Act No. 110/1997 Coll. Food, and Decree No. 113/2005 Coll. Individual products of the investigated area (meat and dairy products) are also compared with each other (Point method and Simplified Point Method) and in terms of significance, consumer attention and other appurtenances associated with data on product labels were surveyed. The results revealed a strong dominance of Czech manufacturers on our market in categories of both milk and meat products. In terms of characteristics that producers are obliged to provide, no significant errors were found. If the products lacked any indication, it was usually an indication of dietary (nutritional) value for both meat and dairy products. Manufacturers of the products studied provided a large number of optional information (logos, etc.). We conclude they should rather focus on some of consumer-preferred emblems, for there is high number of them and they seem difficult to follow by the customers. Most consumers prefer the Klasa and the ?Český výrobek? (Czech product) logos.
Analysis of radioactive discharges composition at Temelín NPP
BUZEK, Karel
Goal of this dissertation is to establish increasing of radioactive discharges with reference to projected construction of next nuclear power units. This dissertation describes radionicludes composition in gaseous also liquid discharges and resulting impact to individual from critical group of the public. Dissertation includes annual summaries of discharges, released into environment during Temelín NPP operation. Procedure of the analysis: 1) calculation of average annual activity of most considerable radionuclides 2) determination of environment influence to radionuclides distribution 3) calculation of supposed committed effective dose 4) calculated supposed committed effective dose comparison with actual authorized limit, with double authorized limit and with dose constraint for effective dose for individual from critical group of the public, caused by discharges of radioactive substances Main conclusion of this dissertation is suggestion of to increase authorized limits for individual from critical group of the public: for gaseous discharges: 50 % above current value {--} it means 60 {$\mu$}Sv per calendar year for liquid discharges: 100 % above current value {--} it means 6 {$\mu$}Sv per calendar year This values are quite acceptable in comparison with dose constraints defined by Regulation No. 307/2002 of Coll., § 56, section 3 {--} {\clqq}average effective dose of 250 {$\mu$}Sv per calendar year for the appropriate critical group of the public, from which 200 {$\mu$}Sv shall be for discharges into the atmosphere and 50 {$\mu$}Sv for discharges into watercourses``. It is possible to utilize this dissertation in process of new nuclear power units projection, next this dissertation demonstrates radiation protection optimisation in area of radioactive discharges according to valid legislation.
Global analysis of the current business-legal environment in the Czech Republic
Duspiva, Vítězslav ; Křížek, Miroslav (advisor) ; Patočka, Jiří (referee)
This final diploma thesis called "Global analysis of the current business-legal environment in the Czech Republic" thoroughly evaluates business-legal environment in the Czech Republic and reveals how it is perceived by small and medium entrepreneurs. This analysis further uncovers and specifies fields where there are deficiencies in the Czech legal system. There is also a short view of the situation in the countries neighboring with the Czech Republic such as Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary, France and the whole of EU. The topic of EU legislation was not neglected either. These new legal provisions coming from the EU are more and more becoming part of the Czech legal system and have bigger and bigger influence on the Czech entrepreneurs. Businessmen in the Czech Republic still perceive many difficulties related to the state restrictions and regulatory authorities decisions. The situation is especially gravely perceived in case of tax laws, labor laws and the overall complexity and complicatedness of the Czech legislation as a whole. Based on the research that was a part of the research, high level of conservativeness of the small and medium entrepreneurs was proved. Czech businessmen tend to have difficulties adopting new things including laws even if those could have positive impact in the end. It further seems that the Czech businessmen tend to approach their business environment skeptically but not passively. They feel like participating actively in changes in their business environment even thou it often seems impossible.
