Use of Valuation methods for managerial decision of enterprise liquidation ( C.S. Cargo a.s.)

The objective of the thesis is to demonstrate the use of valuation methods as a support for managerial decisions of enterprise liquidation. The thesis includes traditional parts of valuations such as strategic and financial analysis, value drivers analysis, which allow us to confirm or disprove going concern assumption and future liquidation. Finally, we will use valuation methods to determine the optimal timing of enterprise liquidation or possibility of business remediation.
International transport of live animals

The aim of this work is to analyse the transport of live animals as a very specific type of transport. The first part of work is about legislation, which is related to the transport of live animals. There is the description of the requirements for the carrying on the transport of live animals, necessary documents, permissions and equipment of the means of transport. In the next part of work the statistics related to the transport of live animals are given. For example there are the numbers of transported live animals, the numbers of checking or the numbers of the infringements of the rules. Then a description of two specific international transports of live animals implemented by Czech zoological gardens is presented. The final part of work is about the company Boby-Fleisch, which is specialised in the transport of live animals.
Logistics in the Czech Republic

The Master's Thesis analyzes a logistic background of the Czech Republic in the context of the recent economic crisis and its influence on the development of selected indicators of the logistic market. The objective of the Thesis is to evaluate the impact of these aspects on lo-gistic competitiveness of the Czech Republic in Central and Eastern Europe. The Thesis de-scribes the current situation of the European logistic market together with the main future development trends. The recent development on logistics and industrial property market is worked out in detail, including the changes in attractiveness of logistics locations and criteria influencing developers' activities. Subsequently the Thesis analyzes the situation in logistics and transport infrastructure, characterizes the freight transport and presents current options for their further development. The final part of the Thesis introduces options for education in logistics available in the Czech environment.
Environmental considerations in long-term transportation contract

Final thesis focuses on a new trend in logistics -- environmental considerations in supply chain and innovations connected with cargo transportation. Nowadays, due to diminishing trade barriers, goods are transported across longer distances, which results into negative externalities. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse the impact of transport of finished vehicles on the environment. The questionare was built to find out interest, measures and future visions of automotive companies in reducing the environmental impact which is a consequence of their outbound logistics.
Comparison of approaches towards freight rail transport in the USA and the EU

This bachelor thesis focuses on freight rail transport in the USA and in the EU at the beginning of the 21st century. The theoretical part defines railway transport as a whole, whereas the analytical part describes the current situation of the freight rail sector in the EU and comments on the role railways should play during the process of building the internal european market. The next chapter focuses on the history of american railways and their deregulation in the 80s.
The role of forwarding houses in international trade

This work is focused on freight forwarding companies and their role in international trade. The aim is to clarify their activities, to outline in which case, and under which conditions it is appropriate to cooperate with a forwarding company and describe all areas where a forwarding company can help. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is focused on the forwarding agents, introduces their job, covers all disciplines, which are closely connected with activities of forwarding houses, describes the benefits of these companies, explains forwarding legislation in the Czech Republic and describes functions of forwarding associations. The second chapter is devoted to the types of freight transport and their use in the European Union. The task of the last chapter is to illustrate the work of shippers on a particular export case of the DHL company.
City logistics of Pardubice – Hradec Kralove area

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to describe and evaluate the form of city logistics and transportation services in Pardubice -- Hradec Králové area and to define related basic problems. The theoretical part focuses on the general background of city logistics, sustainable development, relation between transportation and environment and possibilities of reduction of negative influences on environment. In the practical part there is analysis of current situation of traffic infrastructure and logistics flows in the area with samples of resolution of the largest problems of transportation services.
