40/5000 Fine particles produced by the stove
Škvařil, Ondřej ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis deals with problematics of fine particles produced during combustion in fireplace stoves. The theoretical part is focused on the analysis of the atmosphere, health consequences, solid pollutants, the formation of particles (origin), particle separation and how they are regulated by laws. Theoretical section of the thesis addresses analysis of biomass and its combustion. In the applied section are listed given methods of the particles measuring according to regulations, common errors during measurement and methods of identification of measured fine particles. Then follow specific measurements of the formed very fine particles produced by the SMPS method. Subsequently, the results of the measurement are evaluated and summarized in the conclusion.
The Influence of Operating Parameters and Construction Parameters of the Process Burner on Stability and Combustion Processes Parameters
Skryja, Pavel ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Odstrčil, Miloslav (referee) ; Stehlík, Petr (advisor)
The objectives of this paper focus upon composing recommendations with respect to burners design while observing aerodynamic, together with present and advanced developments in the field of flame technology principles. Specifically the aims are set at flame stability and pollutions. Important part of this paper is a novel design procedure dealing with premixed burners. Further, by exploiting the results of testing program enabled one to design burners exhibiting low level of nitrogen oxides emissions. On the basis of aerodynamic analysis of premixed burners flow path several recommendations on the geometry resulted in proposing two ejectors, which transport the combustion air. In the first ejector the fuel jet, generated by flow through a nozzle, draws the specified part of the combustion air, and then the mixture is a driving agent of the second ejector. The remaining part of combustion air flows first through the radial curved vanes, and second its tangential velocity component is augmented by axial vanes prior it enters mixing part of the second ejector. For the additional contribution to the rotating motion the inclined axial vanes built inside the nozzle of the second ejector are responsible. The resulting swirling number reaches the values up to 2.6. For the burner so arranged fire stability and low NOx emissions in the wide operating conditions can be expected. Within the frame of extensive testing program in the field of diffusion burners several modifications have been carried out such as setting of axial vanes which secure the swirling motion, changes of combustion air flows path, and modifications of secondary nozzles, these resulted in extending zone of stabilized flame and reducing the formation of NOx, e.g. NOx emissions of 70 ppm, prior the modifications, have dropped to 30 ppm (dry flue gas 3% O2). The main contribution of this paper stands in applications of development activities results in aerodynamic and flame within their implementation in the field of burners design. Further, it is the proposed design of burners which are capable of simultaneously firing products of the biomass microwave pyrolysis, namely syngas and bio-oils.
Influence of electricity generation on the environment
Žák, Jiří ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The concern of this Bachelor Thesis is current structure of electric energy sources in Czech Republic and their influence on the environment. The theoretical part maps the current state of energetics, structure of sources, consumption and installable output in ES CR. In the thesis, there is shown evolution of balance of electricity since 1988 and netto production of electricity in CR. There is also decribed export and import of electricity in the year 2008 and determination of the influence of different energetic equipments on the environment. The practical part deals with the emission of individual types of power stations, their manufacturing, calculation and possibilities of decreasing amount of carbon dioxide emission from the electric energy manufactories. Next point considers predicted development of equipments in relation to the environment. In the end, there is the overall evaluation of achieved information and results with influence on the environment.
Effect of change of fuel at boilers efficiency
Hazucha, Jan ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
Bachelor‘s thesis deals with sorting solid fuels and boilers for solid fuels up to power of 200 kW, it’s most important attributes and legistative claims. Next part of the thesis deals with the impact between of different types of fuels on efficiency.
Alternative powertrains of vehicles
Filip, Vojtěch ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of most common alternative drive systems currently used in cars, their comparison with the current gasoline and diesel engines. Familiarization with the technical solutions of drives, their categorization into several groups according to the specific key features. It also deals the most important components of an alternative fuels automobiles, respecting their strengths and also weaknesses that currently hinder expansion of these propulsions, economically as well as technically.
Preparation of the Company to Enter the Stock Market
Kovandová, Klára ; Horáčková, Saša (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the initial public offering (IPO), as funding opportunities for business development by own external sources. There is the basic definition of the theoretical concepts related to the IPO (financial market, joint-stock company, IPO). Further the work deals with the analysis of the chosen company and its suitability for the IPO, which mainly assesses the readiness of the company, selecting the optimal market and accuracy of timing. Aim of this work is to determine the steps which are necessary for the company to implement the IPO.
An aftertreatment system for the passenger vehicles with a gasoline engine
Hána, Michal ; Fridrichová, Kateřina (referee) ; Böhm, Michael (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the issue of reducing emissions from passenger vehicles with a gasoline engine. The introduction describes the individual emission components, their origin and impact on the environment and human organism. The main part of the thesis concentrates on possibilities of reducing emissions. The function and design solution for each component of the emission system is described. Habán, Tomáš ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to focus on biomass as one of the components of renewable energy sources for the production of thermal energy by combustion. The introduction of work maps the current state of biomass used in the Czech Republic. It evaluates options for future uses for biomass and also the size of the potential in the natural conditions of the Czech Republic. It also views this renewable resource from the point of view of energy conception and evaluace the government positron on this issue. Next part deals with the combustion of biomass and with the use of created thermal energy. It ruminate a problem of pollutants and shows values for emission limits results from the legislation. It shows ways of using this thermal energy and the associated production of electrical energy including an overview of the possibilities of its evaluation. The last part of this work describes a comparison between biomass boilers from Czech and foreign producers in the range of rated output 1 to 3 MW. It divides boilers in terms of legislation and shows the obligations and conditions attached to the operators of biomass boilers. It outlines the biggest application of boilers with medium capacity for biomass combustion in the Czech Republic.
