Taxation of labour in Bulgaria

The aim of this diploma thesis is the analysis and comparison of labour taxation in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. After the introduction, in which the goal and methods of solving are defined, there are two chapters that describe theoretically tax systems in both compared countries with focus on personal income tax and social security systems. The following chapter is devoted to indicators of effective taxation of labour, which are used for international comparisons. Another chapter will describe the comparison of the effective taxation of labour based on the achieved results. There is also an interval and global progressiveness that are used to measure the progressivity of the personal income tax in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. In conclusion, there is a summary of the findings and aims of this thesis.
The impact of the economic crisis on the effective burden on businesses in the Czech Republic

In my diploma thesis, I deal with an issue of effective corporate tax rates. The effective tax rate expresses the real tax burden of companies. The effective tax rate is different from the statutory tax rate due to the impact of tax legislation. The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyze the impact of changes in legislation on the level of effective tax rate for companies divided by size and for companies divided by industry. The first chapter describes the crisis in the world and its consequences on taxation in the Czech Republic. In the second chapter I analyze the impact of legislative changes on the level of effective tax rate during the monitored period, i.e. in the years 2006-2016. The third chapter deals with the classification of methods of calculating effective tax rates. In the last chapter, I analyze the impact of changes in legislation on the development of effective tax rates for companies divided by size and for companies divided by industry.
Transformation of the profit and loss into the tax base and analysis of the effective tax rate for business entities in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis solves the issue of determination of the corporate income tax for the legal corporate entities based in the Czech Republic and it looks into the issue of effective corporate tax rates. The aim of thesis is to describe a course of a corporate income tax determination from the origin of earnings before tax, through a transformation to tax base and to final tax duty. Another aim of this thesis is to describe effective corporate tax rates, the methods of their calculation and to make an analysis of the effective taxation in 60 business entities in four branches of Czech industry.
Effective taxation of corporations

This bachelor work deals with the issue of the effective taxation in the Czech Republic. The effective tax rate is an indicator measuring the tax burden. It takes into account not only the statutory tax rate but also different elements, which influence the tax base contained in legislation. The aim of this thesis is to compare effective tax rates in various industries in the Czech Republic for several consecutive years and define reasons and assumptions of their existence. The first two chapters are dedicated to the theoretical side of the issue by defining terms related to the effective tax and description of the methods. The third chapter explains the main differences between the statutory and effective tax rate. The fourth chapter, which is based on the calculated values of effective rates, is devoted to comparative analysis and explains the reasons of deviations. For the calculation of the tax rate was applied the microeconomic indicator real effective tax rate.

Taxation of income from employment This diploma thesis deals with the system of taxation of income tax. First part of this work describes important terms necessary for understanding the tax system. Systematically at first I describe the term of tax, than I describe the structural elements of tax, income tax in general and after that I can describe the taxation of income from employment. This thesis tries to comprehensively deal with all institutes, whose knowledge is important for the right calculation of the tax and the right tax payment. Considerable space in this work dedicates to the tax base and the effective tax rate. After describing what I have mentioned above, this thesis aims to assess the tax system and think about some other solutions. This thesis comes with a specific proposal in the area of defining the tax base. The conclusion of this thesis is that the tax system is very complicated. If we would like to make it easier, it is necessary to ask ourselves what should be the goal of the changes. Whether the result should be the same tax revenue, covered by the system complexity, simplifying the system and lower tax revenue, or maintaining the current tax revenue and sincere effort to simplify the system. Effective tax rate of the company in 2015

This thesis focuses on the effective income tax rate of the company and its comparison with the statutory corporate tax rate. The theoretical part includes general definition of effective tax rate and describes its classification. Furthermore it describes Czech Republic's tax system with a detailed focus on corporate income tax and its calculation. The practical part analyses the effective income tax rate of the company chosen. The ex-post evaluation method has been used to calculate the company's effective income tax rate. This index has been compared with the statutory income tax rate via distortion ratio. The conclusion involves determination of the average effective income tax rate of the related industry and its comparison with the effective taxation indicator calculated.
Comparison of the tax burden of employees in the Czech Republic and in Belgium

The thesis analyzes and compares tax burden on employees in the Czech Republic and Belgium. The first part summarizes the tax systems of the two countries, and describes how to proceed in the calculation of their tax burden. The second part deals with the comparison of effective tax rates for different types of taxpayers. The third part discusses the tax progressivity in terms of local progressivity, which is measured by using provided intervals and determines for which income categories is the progressivity most important. Lorenz curve in the last part shows graphically global tax progressivity and redistribution of income in society. The Gini coefficient measures it. Final evaluation highlights the important ties between the two countries, compares with other countries of the European Union and its future development especially in the area of taxation of wages.
Taxation of financial institutions and analysis of potential bank taxes

This diploma thesis deals with taxation of financial institutions with focus on banking sector in the Czech Republic. The aim is to analyze effective tax rate of the Czech banks, define issues that might have influenced the evolution of the effective tax rate and make comparison with effective tax rate of other Czech corporations and European banks. The first chapter characterizes financial institutions, development of taxation of the financial sector and briefly describes the global financial crises. In the next chapter specifics of the value added tax and corporate income tax are described from the point of view of the financial institutions according to the Czech law followed by description of the financial transactions tax and financial activities tax. In the third chapter is analyzed effective tax rate of the Czech banks for period from 2007 to 2014 based on data gained from annual reports of the analyzed banks. Data for comparison of the effective rates of Czech and European banks were gained from the database S&P Capital IQ. In the conclusion of the thesis are analyzed reasons that might have caused changes in the effective tax rate in the banking sector.
Taxation of income from employment in the Czech Republic and in Germany

The purpose of this master thesis is comparing the taxation of income of employees in the Czech Republic and Germany. The theoretical part is focused on describing the taxation of income of employees in both analyzed states. This part also includes an explanation of the social insurance system in both countries. The empirical part of thesis oncentrates on a comparison between the tax burden of Czech and German employees among various income groups and various taxpayer. The tax burden is then compared with the effective tax rate. The final section of this thesis compares values of redistribution indicators, such as indicators of interval and global progressivity (Lorenz curve, Gini coefficient.

The target of this thesis is to identify and compare effective rate of taxation of personal and business taxation at different levels of income and subsequent analysis of the results, focusing on self-employed persons and limited companies.
