Knowledge Discovery from Data - Clustering Algorithms
Kapavík, Radim ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with the theme of cluster analysis, focusing on problems of determining necessary parameters of these methods. Most of the work is dedicated to describing implementation of DENCLUE method based on density and proposing appropriate way to set up it´s key parameter, known as sigma, automatically.
Similar solution identification in the field of stochastic simulation related to waste management
Gal, Pavel ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Šomplák, Radovan (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with the issue of collecting mixed municipal waste from producers to a~waste-to-energy or landfills. The initial chapters are aimed to waste legislation and transportation of the waste by road freight transport across Europe. The objective is to collect the data, that are required for calculation in tool NERUDA. The next part describes the cluster analysis and different approaches in it. The selected methods of cluster analysis are apllied to the logistic task in the final chapters. The cluster analysis is considered from different aspects. The results are visualized using the software ArcGIS.
Default Risk Modeling in Chemistry Industry
Jedlička, Jaromír ; Czekus, Robert (referee) ; Režňáková, Mária (advisor)
My thesis is focused on the presentation of a scoring model for companies in chemical industry with use of cluster analysis methods. There is a description of financial risks, financial analysis indicators and models which are used to evaluate financial risks of a company. There is also a mathematical description of hierarchical cluster methods.
Statistical Classification Methods
Barvenčík, Oldřich ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Michálek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with selected classification methods. The thesis describes the basis of cluster analysis, discriminant analysis and theory of classification trees. The usage is demonstrated by classification of simulated data, the calculation is made in the program STATISTICA. In practical part of the thesis there is the comparison of the methods for classification of real data files of various extent. Classification methods are used for solving of the real task – prediction of air pollution based of the weather forecast.
Methods for detection of QRS complex
Lysák, Karel ; Chrobák, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with methods for detection of QRS complex in the ECG signal. There are described selected detection approaches, basic information about ECG and electrical activity of cardiac muscle. There is also described detailed procedure for the implementation of the three methods of detection in MATLAB and an assessment is made of the detectors tested on the CSE database. There are described some methods of cluster analysis and their possibilities of usage. There is also a description of detectors created by using cluster analysis and their efficiency is tested on the CSE database. Finally, there is a comparison of detection rates of all created detectors.
Digital image analysis of mitotic chromosomes
Hávová, Mariana ; Babula, Petr (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
Changes in chromosome number and structure may cause serious diseases. Cytogenetic tests leadin to set of karyotype are done for detecting these abnormalities. Chromosomes are visualised with proper methods and karyotype is made up most often. Manual karyotyping is time-consuming and expensive task. Because of this, researchers have been developing automated karyotyping systems. Karyotyping systems classify chromosomes into classes based on their characteristic features. Overlapping and bent chromosomes are limitations for automatic classification since they ocur at almost every mitosis. Accuracy and reliability of karyotyping systems still depend on the human intervention. Overcoming of these problems and development of fully automated system is the aim of modern approaches.
Detection of QRS complex using methods combining
Votoupal, Pavel ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with QRS complex detection. There are described the basic information about ECG, QRS detection approaches, the methods of cluster analysis and description of detectors implemented in the MATLAB. These QRS detectors were tested and optimized on the CSE database. Finally, cluster analysis was performed for the combination of methods and the results were compared with the results of individual methods.
Clustering of Protein Sequences Based on Primary Structure of Proteins
Jurásek, Petr ; Stryka, Lukáš (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
This master's thesis consider clustering of protein sequences based on primary structure of proteins. Studies the protein sequences from they primary structure. Describes methods for similarities in the amino acid sequences of proteins, cluster analysis and clustering algorithms. This thesis presents concept of distance function based on similarity of protein sequences and implements clustering algorithms ANGES, k-means, k-medoids in Python programming language.
Detection of biological structures in TEM microscope images
Cikánek, Martin ; Chmelík, Jiří (referee) ; Potočňák, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the first part of this thesis is to explain the theoretical basis of transmission electron microscopy and to mention fundamental parts of transmission electron microscopes. The next part of this work is focused on possible methods of image segmentation, the use of neural networks in the detection of objects in an image and the subsequent clustering of results. The theoretical part of the thesis is concluded with an explanation of some already published methods of automatic detection of biological structures in microscopic images and theoretical design of the algorithm, which will be subsequently developed. The process of training neural networks in order to automatically detect biological structures in an image is described at the beginning of the practical part. This is followed by an evaluation of the results achieved by these networks. Subsequently, cluster analysis methods are applied to these results, the products of which are compared with each other and also with the results obtained by already published methods.
Delineation of ECG signals using leads transformation
Ruttner, Michal ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with delineation of ECG signals. First we will become familiar with ECG and commonly used processing methods. Various transformation methods of ECG leads. Further we will describe methods of delineation ECG signals. Second part is dedicated to metod used in this work for delineation of ECG signals from CSE database. Particulary method using Dyadic Wavelet Transform. Work include, description of used program and results. Third part is dedicated to methods of ECG leads transformations and cluster analysis. In conclusion we will evaluate the results.
