This bachelor thesis explores the connection between school-age children who do club sports on their organization of free time, the composition of their leisure activities and study results. These results are then compared with children who do not do sports or sports just for recreation. The main focus is on the children's leisure time, institutions that affect leisure time activities with a closer analysis of sport and sprint canoe. Title: Canoe sprint in the Czech Republic 2004 - 2008. Objectives: The aim of the thesis has been to draw up the history of the Czech sprint canoing between 2004 and 2008. Methods: Standard methods have been used in the thesis, especially the chronological method. The actual gaining of materials has been achieved through a combination of the direct, indirect and progressive methods. Results: The content of this work deals with the organizational and competition activities of sprint canoeists in the Czech Republic in the given period. The theoretical part describes the influences and effects of swimming technique and various styles. The practical part contains detailed descriptions of training cycles and recommendations, dedicated athletes who are engaged in similar activities. Shows the way to achieve optimal results for junior canoeists, use of swimming training in the winter. Indicates errors incurred due to improper execution of techniques and try to eliminate them through simple training exercise.
