Functional anthropometric changes of trunk position after ankle injuries
ŠVARC, Jiří
This thesis deal with functional changes in trunk position in patients after an ankle injury. Changes in trunk posture are examined on a pelvic position on probands between 4 to 8 weeks after an ankle injury. The result of the work could indicate whether the ankle joint injury affects the position of the pelvis and whether there is a typical pelvic posture after this injury. In the first part of the thesis, I present theoretical knowledge that provides the basis for the research part. I rely on the anatomical structure and kinesiology of the lower limb, the functional connection of the lower limb as a whole, the principles of generalization of functional disorders in the human body, and knowledge about injuries to the ankle joint. The aim of this thesis is to analyze functional anthropometric changes in the position of the trunk after ankle joint injuries, which are evaluated by examining the position of the spina iliaca anterior superior, spina iliaca posterior superior and crista iliaca. The research part is performed by the method of mixed research. The subject of the research is the clinical examination of ten probands after ankle joint injury and statistical evaluation of the obtained data on the position of the pelvis. Results: In all ten probands there was a decrease in at least one observed pelvic structure on the side of the injured ankle joint. Six probands showed a drop in all three structures on the injured side. In the remaining four probands, only the spina iliaca posterior superior of the injured side dropped. Conclusion: All probands after ankle joint injury showed a drop in at least one pelvic structure on the side after an ankle injury. The position of the pelvis was not the same for all probands.
Design of set of compensatory exercises aimed at the elimination of muscle imbalances in the ankle joint
DUDÁK, Jakub
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a set of compensatory exercises to eliminate imbalances in the ankle joint. The work was created using content analysis and synthesis. In the analytical part of the work we focus on the anatomy and kinesiology of the lower leg and leg, including the ankle joint. It also includes an examination of the ankle joint, muscle imbalance, the most common ankle injuries and types of compensatory exercises. The synthetic part of the work consists of a compensatory set of exercises, which are relaxation, stretching and strengthening exercises. The description and instructions for the correct execution of exercises with accompanying pictures are always given. This work aims to design exercises which can be used by a wide range of population.
The issues and therapy of ankle distorsion involving the muscles of the deep stabilizing system
BOSÁKOVÁ, Kristýna
My bachelor work is dedicated to problematics and possibilities of therapy for patients after a distortion of the ankle. This topic intrigued me, because it is frequent in outpatient kind of therapies. The second reason for choice of this subject matter was my interest in running where the ankle distortion is a common injury.

Title: Case report of physiotherapy care for a patient with a fractured ankle joint Objectives: The objective of the theoretical part is a detailed introduction to theoretical knowledge and treatment options for ankle joint fractures. The aim of the special part is to become familiar with the course of treatment of a patient diagnosed with a fracture of the ankle joint and with the therapeutic and investigative procedures that were used for the treatment. Methods: The theoretical part was developed thanks to findings from professional literature, professional articles and information gathered during the bachelor's study of physiotherapy at the UK FTVS. The special part was developed on the basis of data obtained during bachelors practice. Key words: ankle joint fracture, ankle joint, physiotherapy
Occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players in relation to selected factors
Svatošová, Veronika ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Kučerová, Ilona (referee)
Title: Occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players in relation to selected factors Objectives: The main objective of the master degree thesis is to evaluate the relationship between selected risk factors and the occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players aged 15-40 who actively participated in league competitions from the regional championship to the highest league in the Czech Republic in the 2019/2020 season. Methods: The theoretical part is processed by a domestic and foreign literature research. The practical part uses the method of quantitative research in the form of descriptive analysis. The data were obtained through an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire, which was distributed among basketball players who actively participated in various league competitions in the 2019/2020 season, from the regional championship to the highest league in the Czech Republic. Analysis involved data about various risk factors for ankle sprain injury. Data from completed questionnaires were processed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Excel. The logistic regression model (logit) was used to determine the influence of individual variables on the occurrence of ankle sprain injuries. The logistic regression model was estimated for each hypothesis using Gretl statistical...
Ankle joint injuries in young volleyball players, prevention options and subsequent rehabilitation.
Jurgovská, Aneta ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Ankle joint injuries in young volleyball players, prevention options and subsequent rehabilitation Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the number of injuries in the junior category of the 1st league and extra league volleyball in the Czech Republic with a focus on ankle joint injuries. Another goal is to examine the course of follow-up care after the injury and to find out the most frequently used preventive measures for the elimination of injuries. Methods: The basis of this diploma thesis was quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire survey. To obtain the data, a non-standardized questionnaire was created, which included questions about injuries with a focus on the ankle joint, prevention rates and forms of follow-up care after the injury. The obtained data were processed using descriptive statistics and contingency tables, especially in Microsoft Excel 2003, and converted into a graphical form. Results: 92 % of players were injured in the junior category of the 1st league and extra league of the top volleyball. The most frequently occuring mechanism of injury was contact with another player. The most common injured segment was the ankle joint, which was reported by 76 % of players. In terms of the severity of ankle injuries, we most often encountered...

Hulinský, Filip ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author: Filip Hulinský Title of the thesis: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with distortion of ankle joint Supervisor: Mgr. Kateřina Maršáková Objectives: The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is to gather and present theoretical knowledge about ankle joint and distortion of this joint. This theoretical information's with addition of practical examination are collaborated to create patients specific case study. Summary: In this bachelor thesis I give attention towards the ankle joint. It is separated into two distinct parts which are theoretical and practical part. First is the theoretical part in which I introduce and present the anatomical, biomechanical, kinesiological, and overall functional structures and aspects of the ankle joint. Further more I dive into reasoning of different types of distortions, its reasoning behind why they occur, and possibilities of treatment. The second part is the practical where you may read about my experience in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu (CLPA) where I worked with a patient that has suffered the ankle joint distortion. Practical part includes: methodical work, initial kinesiological examinations, treatment plan, day to day therapy where I explain step by step the methods of treatment that I have used and why, and final kinesiological...

Title Physiotherapy after arthroplasty procedures for rheumatic patients. Defining the problem The main problem this thesis solves is to find and compare findings on the practice of physiotherapy in rheumatic patients, patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who have undergone surgery, joint replacement of lower limb arthroplasty, with a focus on the ankle joint. It will be a comparison of the approaches used in the workplace catchment for the Czech Republic, Institute of Rheumatology (RU) in Prague and the world. Aim The aim is to create a comprehensive overview and comparison of physiotherapy procedures used in rheumatic patients who underwent joint replacement legs, zjm. ankle joint, in the CR is in the hands, and in the world and see whether these practices vary significantly, or are identical. The method of solution The work is prepared by comparing the findings relating to the care of patients with available literature. The findings are grouped and arranged tables are created with recording procedures. The work is written in the form of research.
