Improving Business Processes in Selected Company
Jankůj, Filip ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on improving the material flow process at Swardman, s.r.o. in order to increase daily production. This work analyzes the current state of movement of workers and materials by the spaghetti diagram method and observation. Shortcomings will be identified and the solutions will be proposed to eliminate them.
Design of Lean Production and itsI Implementation in Terms of Production Operations
Kovaříková, Simona ; Tesař, Rostislav (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on design of lean production and its implementation in terms of pruduction operations. The theoretical part contains knowledge related to the issue. The next part presents chosen manufacturing company, which focuses on production of parts for automotive industry. Next part is devoted to the necessary analyses of production lines and identification of its bottlenecks. Lastly, there are listed practical solutions for the implementation of selected tools of lean production.
Reliability assessing of the fiber optic packaging process
Plodková, Zuzana ; Maradová, Karla (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the reliability of processes at the packaging center in the company CommScope Czech Republic s.r.o. The first part of the work is research about options for quality management using ISO 9000 standards, but also TQM approaches. At the same time, methods and analytical techniques are discussed, which will be further used in the practical part of this thesis. The following section introduces CommScope Inc. and its main product - optical fiber. The practical part contains an introduction to the packaging center and its processes, it also describes the analysis of the reliability of the original state and proposals for corrective measures that were designed within the Kaizen event. The rest of the work is then devoted to the implementation of the proposed changes and their economic assessment. Finally, an evaluation of the methods used, the results achieved and other recommendations are given.
Design of Material Flows in the Production Process
Jurásková, Anna ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of material flow and lean manufacturing in a given section of a selected manufacturing company. The diploma thesis focuses on the weaknesses of the current state of the selected workplace and defines the areas for improvement. The first part presents the theoretical basis of the work. The second part of the work is focused on analyzing the current state of the workplace. There are provided solutions for better material flow and to implement selected elements of lean manufacturing in the last part.
Lean Management of a Selected Part of a Production System
Schwarz, Adam ; Varjan, Matúš (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The work is focused on improving the concept of lean management in a selected engineering company, where analyzes are performed with the help of selected methods and tools to reveal current problems. The data are then processed and based on them, measures for change are proposed with an emphasis on minimizing the rate of waste of time and costs and increasing production efficiency.
Principles of lean manufacturing and their implementation
Hanuška, Tomáš ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with principles of lean production and their implementation. It reflects ongoing transformation of assembly in the company ABB s.r.o. PGHV Brno – Slatina. There were suggested several steps for waste reduction based on the tracking of material flow and worker movement.
Rational layout of the assembly line in the pre-manufacturing stage and Lean principles
Škrdla, Michal ; Bernát, Michal (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the current state of assembly workplace for prefabrication in selected company. Using lean manufacturing principles it describes and subsequently eliminating all forms of waste that occur in the workplace. Part of the project is to design a new layout of the manufacturing cell, operation balancing and standardize the work of operators in the process. The project aims to achieve the planned production volumes at the same or lower operating costs.
The Study Material Flow Management in the Logistics Chain of the Automotive Industry
Lokvencová, Veronika ; Ing. Petr Tyráček, Ph.D., MBA (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the material flow in a company located at the second stage of the supply. Material flow is monitored in terms of logistics. The focus becomes reducing production lead times due to optimized inventory. In the theoretical section briefly summarizes the nature of material flow and the means used to optimize inventory. The content of the practical part is a detailed conflict of manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations, which will be the basis for possible suggestions to improve all material flow.
The Study of the Operating Production Management
Mayerbergová, Ilona ; Ing. Jaromír Černý, Ph.D (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to use the principles of lean manufacturing to lean workplace and eliminate all forms of waste in this workplace. A part of this work is opti-mal design of the workplace in terms of ergonomics which should have a positive effect on shortening lead time and process cycle efficiency. Shortening the lead time will allow company to respond more quickly to customer requirements and this effect may subsequently lead to the drop in inventories.
Optimization of the material flow in the internal logistics at the selected company
Huryta, Michal ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Martínez, Felipe (referee)
This Master's thesis deals with the optimization of the material flow between two areas of the production plant of the selected company. At the beginning of the thesis there is shown theoretical framework which is needed for subsequent analysis and determination of the proposals to improvement. In this part there is pointed out to the understanding of the process and the various concepts related to the process management. Furthermore, for the purposes of the application part there are selected and analyzed specific tools of lean manufacturing. These include for example the spaghetti diagram, the product / process matrix and the value stream mapping as the essential tool of this thesis. All this is complemented by ABC analysis. After that these methods are also applied in the practical part for solving the current project in the selected company. At first in solving the project there is dealt with the determination of the most problematic material flow between two areas of production plant. Then there is suggested the optimization solutions and all of this is also complemented by the economic evaluation of the whole project.
