Bachelor thesis will deal with water treatment options with greater pollution, when it is necessary to include after the secondary degree even the tertiary degree. It will be create an overwiev of equipments, which are suitable under certain conditions as tertiary degree and will be worked out a study with using of this degree. As part of this work is to create an overview facilities that are suitable under certain conditions, such as tertiary degree and next a study of water treatment with the use of this degree. The study designed middle water treatment plant and two sedimentation tanks, four european and three active carbon filters.
Evaluation of the benefits of reconstruction at the water treatment plant
Zikudová, Markéta ; Nováková, Jana (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is a comparison and evaluation of the condition of the Nudvojovice water treatment plant before and after the reconstruction. The bachelor thesis gradually describes the basic concepts and general principles of treatment of raw water for drinking water. Specifically, the work describes the methods of raw water collection, technologies used in treatment plants, water quality indicators and types of water treatment plants. The work also describes in detail the Nudvojovice water treatment plant before reconstruction, which took place in 2018 and after. The work is mainly focused on the collection of raw water, changes in treatment technology and the quality of raw and treated water. The work also presents other than implemented solutions for drinking water treatment and then compares the status of the original and reconstructed water treatment plant in various respects.
Study of water treatment plant from surface source
Inwald, Petr ; Látal,, Milan (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The first part of the thesis deals with water sources and methods of drinkable water treatment. This section describes the technologies used for two-stage water treatment from a surface source. The second part deals with study of the new drinking water treatment plant from a surface source for Adamov town. The work documents the current state of the existing water treatment plant and describes used technology with a design flow Q = 30 l s-1. In the next part of thesis is design of two variations of new technological line with a design flow Q = 10 l s-1. The first variation is one-stage water treatment with pressure filters as the main separation stage. Two-stage water treatment is designed for the second variation, in which the first stage of separation are clarifiers and the second stage are pressure filters. Thesis includes drawing documentation of designed pressure filters and clarifiers, technological and height scheme of both variations.
Elimination of residues of specific antropogenic organic contaminants with hormonal activities of water during drinking water treatment
Bílková, Zuzana ; Čáslavský, Josef (referee) ; Mega, Jaroslav (advisor)
Submitted master's thesis is dealing with the problem of occurrence of residues of specific anthropogenic pollution of drinking water sources, with accent on possibilities of elimination of these compounds during drinking water treatment. There was pay attention to two estrogenic hormones – estradiol and ethinylestradiol. In laboratory scale there was tested efficiency of coagulation, activated carbon adsorption and ozonation in elimination of studied compounds from artificially contaminated water.
Adsorption of natural organic matter (NOM) on granular activated carbon in the treatment of drinking water
Le Duc, Duy ; Mega, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dolejš, Petr (advisor)
In the first part of this thesis the methodic of lab trial was studied, which will be useful for studying adsorption of natural organic matter by activated carbon. As an optimal method of testing adsorption characters jar testing was chosen. Again as an indicator of organic contamination, it was decided to use permanganate chemical oxygen demand (in Czech CHSKMn) will be used. In the second part of this thesis the adsorption characters of eight types of granular activated carbon were studied. Those granular activated carbon came from two world produces, from company NORIT five type of granular activated carbon were tested: NORIT GAC 1020, NORIT PK 1-3, NORIT GAC 1240, NORIT ROW 0.8 SUPRA a TOD NORIT ROX 0.8 and from company Chemviron Carbon three types of granular activated carbon were tested: F100 FE11120A, F400 FE11210A a TL830 FE2028B. Batch kinetic tests of natural organic matter adsorption were conducted with all types of granular activated carbon at first. For description of sorption not only the batch kinetic tests and duration needed for setting equilibrium were observed, but also the process decreasing of concentration of natural organic matters to the value of equilibrium concentration known as adsorption equilibrium was followed.
Removal of metabolites of pesticides from groundwater during treatment for drinking water
Vaněk, Michal ; Repková, Martina (referee) ; Král,, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the efficiency of pesticide metabolite removal at a water treatment plant. In the introduction, a research on the issue of pesticide substances in raw water, their removal during the treatment to drinking water and the basic classification of pesticides is made. The thesis includes an introduction to the issues at a specific water treatment plant, technological changes at the water treatment plant, tabulated and graphically processed measured values of pesticide metabolites in groundwater source and drinking water. In the conclusion of the thesis, individual pesticide metabolites are discussed, their sorption on granular activated carbon is assessed and conclusions are drawn.
Evaluation of the impact of technical and technological adjustments to the water treatment plant on the quality of treated water
Jedličková, Ivana ; Látal,, Milan (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the evaluation of sequential technical and technological changes of water collection and modification at a specific water treatment facility – the water treatment facility in Ivančice. The first part of the thesis explains the basic terminology such as technological processes of the water treatment plant, types of water treatment facilities, the range of different types of water based on its quality and technologies that can be found at the water treatment plant in Ivančice. The next two chapters describe the water treatment process before and after intensification. The primary focus is on raw water collection, the quality of both raw and treated water, and the water treatment technology. The last part of the paper offers multiple comparisons of the original and renovated facility and recommendations for improving the operations of the renovated water treatment facility. The final evaluation was carried out based on the information collected mainly by visiting the facility in person, and other sources.
Sludge management of water treatment plants
Ševčíková, Ilona ; Bogáňová, Ida (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with sludge management of water treatment plants. The aim of the thesis is to analyse posibilities of sludge treatment and describe sludge management in specific cases. This writing is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with principles of water treatment, creation of sludge in water treatment plants with different number of separation stages, quality of sludge, sludge treatment, elimination or using of sludge. Practical part describes sludge management of six specific water treatment plants in the Czech Republic.
Formation of microsuspension by perikinetic and orthokinetic koagulation
Fojtíková, Radka ; Mega, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dolejš, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on study of physico-chemical influences on model surface-water treatment which contain humic compounds. From those factors were monitored especially the dose of destabilizing reagent, pH value, temperature, velocity gradient of mixing and time of its duration. As destabilizing reagents were used Al2(SO4)3 .18H2O a Fe2(SO4)3 . 9H2O.
Effect of environment on the photocatalytic properties of copper oxides
