Marxism, neo-marxism - views of education
Kratochvíl, Jan ; Mužík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor)
The work talks about education in a sociological and philosophical context. It is based on the Marxist, or rather Neomarxist, point of view, introduced in the first part of the work. It mainly focuses on Marx's historical theory and the alienation of man in capitalism. Furthermore, the works of certain authors, who wrote about these topics, as well as criticised some of the features of the late capitalistic society are briefly discussed. The term education is then put in a social context and introduced in different culturally dependent variations. The goal of this section of the work is to show the dependence of the perception of education on the current historical and social context and to elaborate on its perception in the late capitalistic society. Then a certain theoretical definition is formed, which could be essential in solving certain problems based on the current structure of social relationships. The final part investigates school and reveals it as a certain institucional conservant of the current understanding of education. It shows that even school tuition depends on the historically and socially conditioned values and therefore cannot become the primary source for redefining the meaning of education, so that it could aid in solving some of the structural problems of society.

Increasing of the efficiency of electrochemical generation of volatile form of cadmium for trace analysis using AAS
Růžková, Pavla ; Rychlovský, Petr (advisor) ; Červený, Václav (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis was an improvement of the efficiency of electrochemical generation of volatile form of cadmium used in atomic spectrometric methods. The increase of the efficiency of electrochemical generation of volatile form results in overall improvement of the sensitivity of measurement and therefore, it is possible to achieve lower values of detection limits and limits of determination. One of all the possibilities for improving of overall efficiency is a minimization of loss of volatile form of Cd during transport. Another essential possibility is coupling of the technique of electrochemical generation of volatile form of Cd with in-situ collection (and atomization) in graphite furnace of atomic absorption spectrometer. Keywords: Atomic absorption spectrometry, electrochemical generation of volatile compounds, generation efficiency, electrolytic flow-through generation cell, quartz-tube atomizer, graphite furnace, in-situ trapping, cadmium

Versatile autonomous circuit equivalents of floating and grounded passive elements
Štěpán, Radim ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Herencsár, Norbert (advisor)
This thesis deals with a proposal of versatile autonomous circuit equivalents of floating and grounded passive elements by means of modern active tectonic blocks, such as current and voltage conveyors of all three generations. Current conveyors range as essential tectonic blocks in a current mode. Concerning signal processing, it encompasses a mixed tectonic block. In most cases, these elements may be substituted for presently insufficient operating amplifiers. The voltage conveyor was defined on the basis of duality of current and voltage modes. This element could be selected as a suitable active component for circuits operating in a voltage mode. Implementing the connection, a general autonomous circuit is taken into account. By selecting given admittances, a FDNR (floating frequency dependent negative resistance) element, floating capacitance, floating inductance and ground to floating admittance converter may be implemented. The practical part describes connections which fulfill given requirements. The suggested elements are simulated in comparison with ideal elements and subsequently, they are applied to a frequency filter. The second order filter with a proposed induction coil was practically assembled and experimentally measured in a laboratory. The measured results were compared to simulations received by the use of ideal and real models of current and voltage conveyors.

Macro-economic costs analysis and time determination of joining European Monetary Union
Zámečník, Michal ; Mandel, Martin (advisor) ; Brůna, Karel (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to discover a suitable instant of time for the Czech Republic to join European Monetary Union. I am analyzing dependence between monetary policies of the Czech National Bank (CNB) and the European Central Bank (ECB) themselves as well as in relation to essential Czech macroeconomic indicators. My observation is focused on interest rate policies represented by operative interest rates, on monetary policies represented by indices of nominal effective exchange rates and on convergence monitoring. The analytical instruments I used in the thesis are correlation analyses, linear trends, the Granger causality test and the Impulse-Reaction test. Besides, my thesis examines fulfillment of the Convergence (Maastricht) criteria in the Czech Republic and other central European countries. This thesis also examines impact of the European monetary policy on some Eurozone member countries.

The dynamics of spins in semiconductor nanostructures
Sprinzl, Daniel
This work deals with room temperature spin dynamics in semiconductor CdS nanocrystals. To study this the time- and polarization-resolved pump and probe technique, time-resolved Faraday rotation, and time-integrated polarization-resolved photolumine scence were used. It was found that the time- and polarization-resolved pump and probe technique is the most suitable method to study the dynamics of spin-polarized carriers. In the dynamics of spin coherence three distinct time constants were found: 300 fs, 8 ps and 10 ns. The longest time constant, with a relative weight of 47%, was attributed to spin dephasing of electrons due to the hyperfine interaction with nuclei. Such a long coherence time means that even at room temperature basically all electrons throughout their lifetime maintain the original spin-polarization. This shows that semiconductor nanocrystals are a very promising material for spintronics and quantum computation where the long spin-relaxation time is essential.

documentation. I decided to help solve this problém for one Czech company in the implementation of a specific project. Elements, that could affect the success of the project, are many. However, by using different models it is possible to try minimize some impacts of known risks. In manufacturing project, which especially focuses on custom projects, there is an essential part of the decision whether to accept not to accept the project. This company primarily endeavor to maximize profits, the project must be interesting. In the first part of this thesis I examine this problem. In the second part I do the project analysis, which was selected on the basis of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives. Finally, this whole thesis is implemented into the reality and the company works with it.
