Amphibians and reptiles of Vlkovská sandpit surrounding
RŮŽIČKA, Jan
The successional course is the most important factor affecting consequential characteristics of the mine areas. The succession is influenced by man both by his activity or inactivity, for example by using various types of reclamation or by leaving the area to spontaneous succession. The theoretical part of the thesis contains literal review of the literature dealing with succession, mining, man and biodiversity, reclamation and ecology of reptiles and amphibians. Practical part contains observing of those two model groups and evaluation of their abundance. I accomplished 13 herpetological observations during 7 months and I noted 7 species of reptiles and amphibians at 5 studied localities. I used non-invasive methods of the observation. I recorded following species: Zootoca vivipara, Lacerta agilis, Pelophylax esculentus, Pelophylax ridibundus, Pelophylax lessonae, Natrix natrix and Lissotriton vulgaris. The highest diversity was found at the locality "Jezírka" (7 species), the lowest at locality "Přesyp" (2 species). Using Chi-Square test I rejected the hypothesis, that there is no difference in abundance among studied localities (abundance of Pelophylax, Chí Square = 2764; d. f. = 4; p < 0,001 and Zootoca + Lacerta, Chí Square = 119; d. f. = 4; p < 0,001).
Economic evaluation of damages caused by bark beetle on forest stand in the district of Stribrne Hute
HEJNÁ, Jana
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the damage caused by bark beetle on forest stand in the district of Stribne Hute which is managed by Forest Management Tabor. Forest stands are being damaged by various harmful effects which reduce theirs ecological stability. The damage is defined as a reduction of utility value or as a damage caused by adverse effects. Spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus L.) is significant part of entomocenosis and it is being considered as the most serious pest of spruce stands. Data from 2007 - 2012 were processed, it consisted of bark beetle matter production records, evaluation of timber harvest (especially random harvest) and calculation of revenues. The price lists of average values of spruce logs KH and A/B quality was used to calculate revenues from bark beetle matter and standard quality. The comparison of revenues was used to determinate the loss caused by bark beetle. Losses were minimal due to the quantity of bark beetle which did not reach state of emergency.
The historic gold-mining in Pootaví
STRAKA, Jan
To the development of my Diploma Thesis the literature dealing with the issue of the history of gold mining in Pootaví and natural conditions of the region was used. The thesis more closely specifies various historical stages of gold mining in this area and the procedures and methods used by them. The first intensive panning work and the first part of the underground works belong to the 5th century BC. Furthermore, it was found that the most intensive period of mining in this area took place in 13th - 14th century. Major panning works were completed in the course of the 16th century, underground works were finished later, with the exception of the area of Kašperské Hory, where underground mining continued until the beginning of the 20th century. In the last century geological surveys of the paddies found gold in small quantities, which excluded mining from the economical point of view. Geological exploration of the underground deposits of gold in Kašperské Hory was prematurely terminated under the pressure of the public. The practical part consists of conducted panning experiments at several locations using panning pelvis and panning sluice. At all the locations, except one, was the occurrence of gold detected, but in such a small quantities excluding profitable mining from the surface areas.
CLASSIFICATION OF STATEMENT OF WASTEPOND MAPE THROUGH THE USE OF THE CHOSEN MARKERS OF BACKGROUND
HULANOVÁ, Monika
The main point of the bachelor´ s writing was to analyse the stand of wastepond after the mining uranic ores. This analysis was attached by chosen indicators of the background. Little land mammals were chosen as an indicator. The samples were gained through trapping to the collapsible traps and then they were stored in the freezer. The gathered material was sent for the analysis of the chosen microelements (As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn). The analysis was provided by ANECLAB s.r.o. in České Budějovice. Next the problem of rescue and recultivation of watched landscape was analysed. The accomplishments of working describe the stand of the wastepond DIAMO s.p. in light of ecological stability of the formation in the landscape and the influence of recultivation on the surrounding watched biota and consequential comprehension of the areas to the landscape.
Reclamation of open-cast mines: analysis of the decision-making process about the way of land reclamation
Průša, Petr ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Šedivý, Martin (referee)
The work "Reclamation of open-cast mines: analysis of the decision-making process about the way of land reclamation" deals with reclamation of areas damaged by open-cast brown coal mining in the Czech Republic. It provides information about about the history of reclamation and a summary of the influence of mining on the individual elements of the environment. Besides that it talks about reclamation phases, common ways of reclamation, factors influencing the choice of the applied way of reclamation, the most frequent ways of reclamation and its financing. A general comparison of expenses reflecting the respective ways of reclamation is also a part of the work. The practical part is devoted to the way of reclamation of the open-cast mine Leţáky-Most in the area of the town of Most with a more detailed focus on the residual pit of this mine that is currently being deluged. This pit is meant to become a wide-spread lake of Most. Additionally, the decision-making process in the matter of the way of reclamation, its participants, main interests and aspects that may influence the process are a subject of my research. At this point I also share the plenty of information gained as a part of my qualitative research carried out while interviewing the individual stakeholders who take their specific part in the decision-making process.
Economical and cultural evaluation of reclamation of brown coal mines near the town Most
Kaiserová, Kristýna ; Kouba, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Šulcová, Irena (referee)
The work is aimed at describing the interaction of the civilization and brown coal mining in Motsecko area and it is primarily locked on documenting the cultural implications of the mining. It characterizes the current state of the designated area and it is tryig to capture the key moments of the historical development and their implications. It also describes the most significant drivers of the current events which have the greatest influence of the future development of this area. The next section discusses some related legislative restrictions and regulations that all the actirs should follow up. In this context it refers to efforts on their removal or limitations. The final part defines restoration and providej its examples implemented in Mostecko area. Whole work is accompanied with photographic documentation, which should help readers develop a clearer picture of the described facts.
Optimization in systems of biological populations
Hašek, Pavel ; Chrobok, Viktor (advisor) ; Černý, Michal (referee)
This paper deals with optimization in systems of biological populations adjusted to harvesting. First, a description, behavior and evolution over time in basic models of Malthus, Verhulst and Gompertz, is solved in case of not harvesting and then harvesting. There are two options for harvesting, continuous and discrete harvesting. In case of continuous harvesting we have two ways how to harvest, with constant yield and constant effort. With simplifying assumptions it is possible to combine continuous and discrete model in the form of profit function for the harvesting and also gives us ability to implement harvesting costs. For profit-seeking function is best solved using numerical methods with model examples with help of the Maple solver. The last chapter is devoted to the introduction of interest to the harvesting models.
Financial analysis of the company Kamenolom Žlutava s.r.o.
Stasová, Katarína ; Juríčková Heglasová, Andrea (advisor) ; Marek, Petr (referee)
Company Kamenolom Žlutava, s.r.o. belongs to companies that profits from mining and finishing stones. My work will be divided to two parts. The first part of my work will be especially theoretic. It will be especially about concepts, subjects and then I will explain methods of processing of financial analysis. The second part will be practic, where I use knowledges gained from the theoretical part. At first I will characterize company named Kamenolom Žlutava s.r.o., then I will talk about financial analysis from 2005 to 2009. At the end I will explain results and then I valorize the situation of this company.
History and present of peat extraction on the area Borkovická blata
ŠTĚCHOVÁ, Monika
In the general section of this thesis are shortly characterized fossil fuel, peat bogs and peat, process of their origin, their types and importance. Another important part of this work is the extraction of peat, its trend, subsequent restoration and environmental problem of the peat extraction. The main part is the characteristic of the area Borkovická blata, mapping out mining process in the area and the present condition. Spontaneous vegetation succession in mined peatlands
KONVALINKOVÁ, Petra
Spontaneous vegetation succession in mined peatlands in the Czech Republic was studied using the space-for-time substitution approach. The study focused on the variability of vegetation in traditionally mined (block-cut) and industrially mined (milled) peatlands. The influences of age, abiotic site factors, as well as landscape factors were analysed. The thesis summarizes also the state of current knowledge on various groups of organisms (plant, algae, fungi, and animals) in the extracted peatlands in the Czech Republic. The recomendations for the ecological restoration of mined peatlands are given.
